To enhance the robustness and accuracy of target tracking in complex backgrounds and dynamic scenes, this paper presents a target tracking algorithm that integrates hybrid pooling with a Transformer module. The Transformer module captures global context information, effectively mitigating background interference while strengthening the discriminative power of target features. The hybrid pooling technique improves the model's spatial context modeling capability by fusing multi-scale features. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs exceptionally well on the OTB100 and GOT-10k datasets.

—In this paper, we present a reinforcement learning (RL) method for solving optimal false data injection attack problems in probabilistic Boolean control networks (PBCNs) where the attacker lacks knowledge of the system model. Specifically, we employ a Q-learning (QL) algorithm to address this problem. We then propose an improved QL algorithm that not only enhances learning efficiency but also obtains optimal attack strategies for large-scale PBCNs that the standard QL algorithm cannot handle. Finally, we verify the effectiveness of our proposed approach by considering two attacked PBCNs, including a 10-node network and a 28-node network. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. In order to improve the performance and reliability of Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) code decoding algorithms, this paper proposes a Self-Correcting Minimum Sum algorithm with Dual Reliability Determination (DRD-SCMS) to address the limitations of the Self-Correcting Minimum Sum (SCMS) algorithm in determining the reliability of variable nodes. Unlike the traditional SCMS algorithm, which relies solely on the symbols from the previous and current iterations to assess the reliability of variable nodes, the DRD-SCMS algorithm combines the number of connections between variable nodes and check nodes with check failures, along with the results of symbol iterations, to provide a more accurate reliability evaluation. By categorizing variable nodes into three groups and prioritizing the updating of the most unreliable nodes, the algorithm optimizes the iteration order in the decoding process. Simulation results demonstrate that the DRD-SCMS algorithm significantly reduces the number of iterations and improves decoding efficiency compared to the SCMS algorithm, offering better applicability and reliability.

To efficiently detect the time-slot power of the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) communication systems such as repeaters and base stations in real-time. This article designs a signal-sampling hardware circuit based on the Advanced RISC Machine (ARM) platform and proposes a comprehensive method to calculate the time-slot power values. The signal sampling circuit uses the ADC108S052 chip with an 8-channel linked to the ARM via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), and the time-slot power detection approach consists of a signal timing sampling module, sampling data reading module, and sampling data processing module to compute the detected time-slot power comprehensively. We design experiments to evaluate the efficacy of the approach to detect the time-slot power with the system power-on and normality running condition, the detection of the system CPU resource consumption for the time-slot power, the detection of the error value for the time-slot power, etc. The experimental results demonstrate that the approach can be efficient, and real-time detection of the time-slot power of the TDMA system, the system of repeaters and base stations and other systems of signal coverage, optimization and so on is of great significance.

AKBR: Learning Adaptive Kernel-based Representations for Graph Classification

In this paper, we propose a new model to learn Adaptive Kernel-based Representations (AKBR) for graph classification. Unlike state-of-the-art R-convolution graph kernels that are defined by merely counting any pair of isomorphic substructures between graphs and cannot provide an end-to-end learning mechanism for the classifier, the proposed AKBR approach aims to define an end-to-end representation learning model to construct an adaptive kernel matrix for graphs. To this end, we commence by leveraging a novel feature-channel attention mechanism to capture the interdependencies between different substructure invariants of original graphs. The proposed AKBR model can thus effectively identify the structural importance of different substructures, and compute the R-convolution kernel between pairwise graphs associated with the more significant substructures specified by their structural attentions. Since each row of the resulting kernel matrix can be theoretically seen as the embedding vector of a sample graph, the proposed AKBR model is able to directly employ the resulting kernel matrix as the graph feature matrix and input it into the classifier for classification (i.e., the SoftMax layer), naturally providing an end-to-end learning architecture between the kernel computation as well as the classifier. Experimental results show that the proposed AKBR model outperforms existing state-of-the-art graph kernels and deep learning methods on standard graph benchmarks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In order to enpower the hight performance as well as interpretability of low-order TSK fuzzy classifier, a born-again TSK fuzzy classier embedded with decoupled fuzzy dark knowledge distillation called HTSK-LLM-DKD is proposed in this study. HTSK-LLM DKD achieves the following distinctive characteristics: 1) It takes high-order TSK as teacher model and low-order TSK fuzzy classifier as student model, and leverages the proposed Least Learning Machine based Decoupling Knowledge Distillation to distill the fuzzy dark knowledge from high-order TSK fuzzy classifier to low-order TSK fuzzy classifier, which resulting in low-order TSK fuzzy classifier endowed with enhanced performance surpassing or at least comparable to high-order TSK fuzzy classifier;specifically 2) The Negative Euclidean distance between the output of teacher model and each class is employed to obtain the teacher logits, and then it computes teacher/student soft labels by the softmax function with distilling temperature parameter;3) By reformulating the Kullback Leibler divergence, it decouples fuzzy dark knowledge into target class knowledge and non-target class knowledge, and transfers them to student model, which taking HTSK-LLM-DKD with outstanding performance and relatively fast running speed. Extensive experiment results on UCI benchmarking datasets and real-world dataset Cleveland Heart Disease demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed HTSK-LLM-DKD. © 2024, The Authors. Dual Test-time Training for Out-of-distribution Recommender System

Deep learning has been widely applied in recommender systems, which has recently achieved revolutionary progress. However, most existing learning-based methods assume that the user and item distributions remain unchanged between the training phase and the test phase. However, the distribution of user and item features can naturally shift in real-world scenarios, potentially resulting in a substantial decrease in recommendation performance. This phenomenon can be formulated as an Out-Of-Distribution (OOD) recommendation problem. To address this challenge, we propose a novel Dual Test-Time-Training framework for OOD Recommendation, termed DT3OR. In DT3OR, we incorporate a model adaptation mechanism during the test-time phase to carefully update the recommendation model, allowing the model to adapt specially to the shifting user and item features. To be specific, we propose a self-distillation task and a contrastive task to assist the model learning both the user’s invariant interest preferences and the variant user/item characteristics during the test-time phase, thus facilitating a smooth adaptation to the shifting features. Furthermore, we provide theoretical analysis to support the rationale behind our dual test-time training framework. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first work to address OOD recommendation via a test-time-training strategy. We conduct experiments on five datasets with various backbones. Comprehensive experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of DT3OR compared to other state-of-the-art baselines. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Knowledge Tracing (KT) focuses on tracing stu-dents' evolving knowledge state in the process of question-answering, which has been widely applied to online learning systems. Existing KT methods leverage students' online question-answering logs to infer their knowledge state and predict their subsequent performance. However, these methods only focus on students' online behaviors without considering the fact that students' knowledge also evolves offline. Specifically, students have plenty of offline learning actions that also make changes in their knowledge state, which is called the offline knowledge evolution effect in this paper. However, these offline actions are not recorded by online learning systems, therefore leading to unreliable knowledge tracing results. To alleviate this problem, we propose a novel model named offline-aware knowledge tracing (OKT) that considers students' offline knowledge evolution for KT. In O KT, we introduce a novel concept named offline trait to represent student's offline learning action preference. Based on the preference, the model evaluates offline knowledge evolution, and apply the evolution to generate a new knowledge state for students' future performance prediction. To the end, we conduct experiments on three real-world benchmark datasets and demonstrate that OKT achieves state-of-the-art performance. Besides, the experimental results indicate that considering offline actions can help interpret the KT results.

Mathematical formulas are ubiquitous in courses such as Machine Learning. Understanding these formulas is the primary challenge for studying of students. If a searchable knowledge base can be built for these formulas, it will help students learn. Accurate identification of these formulas is an important step in building and querying the knowledge base. However, mathematical formulas have complex two-dimensional and nested structures, which makes them inconvenient to search like ordinary text. This paper employs Faster R-CNN to detect regions containing mathematical formulas and improves its backbone network, anchor box dimensions, and pre-training network to make it more accurate and efficient in identifing these formulas. Furthermore, in order to enhance the features and meaningful representation of mathematical formulas in the input image, we introduce the distance transformation. Finally, comparative experiments were conducted on the publicly dataset GTDB. Our proposed approach achieved recognition rates of 91.22% and 85.74% for isolated and hybrid formulas detection.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) tomography (TomoSAR) has attracted remarkable interest for its ability in achieving threedimensional reconstruction along the elevation direction from multiple observations. In recent years, compressed sensing (CS) technique has been introduced into TomoSAR considering for its super-resolution ability with limited samples. Whereas, the CS-based methods suffer from several drawbacks, including weak noise resistance, high computational complexity and complex parameter fine-tuning. Among the different CS algorithms, iterative soft-thresholding algorithm (ISTA) is widely used as a robust reconstruction approach, however, the parameters in the ISTA are manually chosen, which usually requires a time-consuming fine-tuning process to achieve the best performance. Aiming at efficient TomoSAR imaging, a novel sparse unfolding network named analytic learned ISTA (ALISTA) is proposed towards the TomoSAR imaging problem in this paper, and the key parameters of ISTA are learned from training data via deep learning to avoid complex parameter fine-tuning and significantly relieves the training burden. In addition, experiments verify that it is feasible to use traditional CS algorithms as training labels, which provides a tangible supervised training method to achieve better 3D reconstruction performance even in the absence of labeled data in real applications.
