As online advertisements are increasing in number, many ad filtering tools have emerged, among which the most widely-used are AdBlock and AdBlock Plus. To use these tools effectively is of significance to the network users. First, this paper analyzes the filtering performance of both AdBlock and AdBlock Plus, using the percentage of ad requests blocked when accessing a web page in the total number of page requests, as well as web page loading time as two specific metrics for comparison. According to the results, AdBlock surpasses AdBlock Plus in terms of ad filtering capability, and the difference between those two tools is mainly due to different default filter lists they use. Then taking video and game filtering as an example, this paper explores how to use ad filtering tools to achieve traffic filtering with specific requirements on the basis of ad filtering principle and rule grammar. In such way, ad filtering tools are expanded to web traffic filtering in specific application scenarios.

In this work, a Storm-based query language System(SQLS) is proposed for real-time data stream analysis. The system is compatible with Continuous query language(CQL) specification. It supports both continuous queries and one-time queries over streaming data, and meets the requirements of user experience(traditional SQL queries) and Qo S(such as real-time and throughput). In order to better meet the requirement of throughput and enhance the processing efficiency, the load shedding algorithm and cache optimization are employed during the implementation of SQL-like operators. Finally, performance testing of the proposed SQLS has been conducted on standalone Storm platform and Storm clusters. Experimental results show that our system can not only meet the needs of users, but also extend the function of real-time streaming queries processing.

The advent of social media and its prosperity enable users to share their opinions and views. Understanding users' emotional states might provide the potential to create new business opportunities. Automatically identifying users' emotional states from their texts and classifying emotions into finite categories such as joy, anger, disgust, etc., can be considered as a text classification problem. However, it introduces a challenging learning scenario where multiple emotions with different intensities are often found in a single sentence. Moreover, some emotions co-occur more often while other emotions rarely coexist. In this paper, we propose a novel approach based on emotion distribution learning in order to address the aforementioned issues. The key idea is to learn a mapping function from sentences to their emotion distributions describing multiple emotions and their respective intensities. Moreover, the relations of emotions are captured based on the Plutchik's wheel of emotions and are subsequently incorporated into the learning algorithm in order to improve the accuracy of emotion detection. Experimental results show that the proposed approach can effectively deal with the emotion distribution detection problem and perform remarkably better than both the state-of-the-art emotion detection method and multi-label learning methods. © 2016 Association for Computational Linguistics

We show that an aggregated Interest in Named Data networking (NDN) may fail to retrieve desired data as the Interest sent upstream in advance is recognized as a duplicate one due to its multipath forwarding and dropped by an upstream node. Furthermore, we introduce NDRUDAF, a mechanism based on negative acknowledgement for the router that aggregates the Interests to detect such unanticipated data access failure and assist the requester whose Interest is aggregated fast recovering from the failure. We qualitatively analyze the performance of the NDN with our proposal NDRUDAF and compare its performance with that of the present NDN. NDRUDAF improves the system performance in case of the unanticipated data access failure in terms of data access delay and network resource utilization efficiency at routers. © Copyright 2016 ACM.

As technology scales, multiple bit upsets (MBUs) have shown prominent effect, thus affecting the reliability of memory to a great extent. In order to mitigate MBUs errors, interleaving schemes together with single error correction (SEC) codes can be used to provide the greatest protection for advanced computer memories. In this paper, an algorithm of iterative scrubbing strategy (ISS) is proposed for the optimal interleaving distance (ID), which should be maximized under some conditions. The proposed algorithm should keep the complexity and the area overhead of designing ID as low as possible without compromising memory reliability. The key principle is to take advantage of the locality of MBU errors and to realize efficient scrubbing. The efficiency of the proposed approach will be compared with conventional strategy. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

The characteristic of Internet TV user behavior is quite essential for designers to optimize resource schedule and improve user experience. With the rapid development of Internet, both Internet TV users and STB (set top boxes) models are booming. This brings a large amount of behavior data which requires matching computing and storage resource to process. Therefore, scalable Internet TV user behavior analysis becomes more difficult. As a solution, cloud computing framework such as Hive is emerged. But limited by performance, it's not an appropriate choice for interactive analysis or real-Time data exploration. In this paper, we present a real-Time Internet TV user behavior analysis system with advantages of high concurrency, low latency and good transportability. Firstly, we design an event capture scheme, consisted of agents embedded in STBs and capture server clusters, to capture every manipulation performed by users. Secondly, we develop a SQL-on-Hadoop engine with distributed transactional management to decrease the response time. The engine has excellent query performance and ability to interactively query various data sources in different Hadoop formats. Lastly, we evaluate RBAS in a commercial Internet TV platform of 16 million registered users. The results show that, with a 32-node cluster, the system can effectively process 10.2 TB of behavior data every day, which is about 40x faster than original Hive-based system. © Copyright 2016 ACM.

Wireless Rechargeable Sensor networks (WRSNs) can significantly prolong the lifetime by employing a mobile charger to replenish the depleted energy of the sensor nodes. This paper considers the scenario that the mobile charger cannot maintain full operation of the WRSN. In this case, the first and foremost problem is how to allocate the insufficient energy to the sensor nodes and decide their corresponding data sensing rates. The objective is to maximize the utility of data collection, which concerns data fairness as well as data amount. To address this problem, we first formulate and simplify its optimization form. Then based on two observations, we propose the BalanceFlow scheme, which coordinates data sensing of the sensor nodes with charging of the mobile charger. Numerical results show that, the BalanceFlow scheme achieves near optimal utility compared with the optimization results. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

Song opinion is an important criterion when people organize and access songs. The ever growing amount of song data in the Web, which includes multilingual songs, calls for the development of automatic tools in classifying songs by opinion polarity. Sony lyric is a critical resource for song opinion classification. In this paper, we propose an approach to mine the opinion polarity of songs based on song lyrics in a multilingual environment. This approach is based on classification and translation. Firstly, we build monolingual opinion classifiers using supervised learning techniques for resource-rich languages, i.e., languages that are rich of labeled training data. However, it is difficult to build a classifier for a resource-rare language. In this case, we employ Language Grid, which is an infrastructure that is built on the top of the Internet, and provides easy-to-use services for multilingual translation, to bridge the gap between the resources in different languages. Song lyrics are translated from resource-rare languages into resource-rich languages, then the pre-trained monolingual opinion classifiers can be used to classify the translated unseen lyrics. To build effective monolingual opinion classifiers, we employ statistical information of song lyrics as features rather than individual words in the song lyrics. Experiments show that, our proposed approach performs better than two typical baseline approaches. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

As process technology scales, electronic devices become more susceptible to soft error induced by radiation. Silent data corruption occurs without any symptoms and is the most severe result incurred by soft error. Duplication is the effective way to protect the program from soft error, but it has high overhead which is increasingly unacceptable for applications. Duplicating critical variables only can significantly reduce the overhead. This paper introduces an approach that identifying the variables which are critical to the execution of the program. We apply Dynamic Dependence Graph to analyze the propagation between instructions and find out the propagation path. The criticality of memory location is characterized and the criticality of each variable is then calculated. Fault injections show that with our approach the duplication achieves high detection rate with low overhead. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

WebSocket is a TCP-based protocol, providing full-duplex communication channels over a single TCP connection. In recent years, more and more developers choose to use it to develop applications. This paper discusses the traditional real-time Web communication schemes, and analyzes the advantages of WebSocket. Based on the deep study of WebSocket, a real-time campus information push solution based on WebSocket and *** is proposed. This paper expatiates the overall structure of the scheme, designs and realizes the functions of each module, and the functional testing results show that the scheme is feasible.
