Intermittent Fault Diagnosis of Split-Star networks and its Applications

With the rapid increase of the number of processors in multiprocessor systems and the fast expansion of interconnection networks, the reliability of interconnection network is facing severe challenges, where the fast recognition of fault processors is crucial. In practice, most of the processor failures are intermittent faults. In this article, we first determine the intermittent fault diagnosability t I PMC(S n 2) tIPMC(Sn2) of n-dimensional split-star network Sn2 under the PMC model. In addition, we propose a fast intermittent fault probabilistic diagnosis algorithm FIFPDPMC to identify the nodes with intermittent fault in the n-dimensional split-star network Sn2 under the PMC model, and we calculated the time complexity of the algorithm FIFPDPMC. Then we implement the algorithm FIFPDPMC in the IoT-based wireless sensor network (IoTWSN) and a randomly generated network (RGN) under different number of nodes with intermittent fault, and we evaluate the performance and efficiency of the algorithm FIFPDPMC in terms of accuracy, precision, recall (TPR), F1, G-mean, FPR, TNR and FNR. Experimental results show that, as the number of stages of executing the algorithm FIFPDPMC increases, the number of nodes with intermittent fault being diagnosed by the algorithm FIFPDPMC increases, which implies that the algorithm FIFPDPMC has good performance and efficiency in both IoTWSN and RGN. © 1990-2012 IEEE.

The objective of Multimodal Knowledge Graph Completion (MKGC) is to forecast absent entities within a knowledge graph by leveraging additional textual and visual modalities. Existing studies commonly utilize a singular relationship embedding to depict all modalities within an entity pair, thus connecting several relationships derived from diverse modalities. However, this coupling may introduce interference from conflicting information between modalities, as the relationships between modalities for a given entity pair can be contradictory. Moreover, existing Ensemble Inference methods fail to dynamically adjust modal weights based on their differences and importance, despite the varying contributions of different modalities. In this paper, we propose the Multimodal Decouple and Relation-based Ensemble inference (MDRE) model. For each modality, we construct corresponding relationship embeddings and build separate triple representations to avoid interferences among modalities. During the training phase, we employ confidence-constrained training with temperature scaling to alleviate conflicting information in textual and visual modalities. For inference, we utilize the Relation-based Ensemble Inference method to adjust modal weights at the relationship level, thus achieving improved prediction results. Experimental results on two datasets demonstrate that MDRE outperforms existing single-modal and multimodal knowledge graph completion methods in terms of performance. © 2023 IEEE.

An Adaptive Heterogeneous Credit Card Fraud Detection Model Based on Deep Reinforcement Training Subset Selection

Heterogeneous fraud detection is an important means of credit card security assurance, which can utilize historical transaction records in a source and target domain to build an effective fraud detection model. Nevertheless, large feature distribution differences between source and target transaction instances and the complex intrinsic structure hidden behind transaction data make it difficult for existing credit card fraud detection (CCFD) models to capture and transfer the most informative feature representations and seriously hinder detection performance. In this work, we propose a novel adaptive heterogeneous CCFD model named adaptive heterogeneous credit card fraud detection model based on deep reinforcement training subset selection (RTAHC) based on deep reinforcement training subset selection, which mainly contains two components: selection distribution generator (SDG) and transaction fraud detector (TFD, including feature extractor with an attention mechanism and classifier). The SDG can generate the selection probability distribution vector via the reinforcement reward mechanism, and then transaction instances in the source domain relevant to the target domain are selected. The feature extractor with an attention mechanism can learn the abstract deep semantic feature representations of selected source transaction instances and the target domain. The joint training of SDG and TFD can provide more real-time and accurate transaction feature representations to reduce the distribution discrepancy between the two domains. We verify the detection performance of RTAHC across a large real-world credit card transaction dataset and four public datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that the RTAHC model can exhibit competitive CCFD performance. With the development of display technology, people's demand for high-definition video is increasing, and the requirements for video quality are also increasing. Nowadays, a large number of videos have emerged, and how to distinguish the quality of videos faces many challenges. Nowadays, deep learning is developing rapidly, and many video quality assessment (VQA) methods have emerged. These VQA methods can efficiently evaluate video quality and save a lot of manpower and material resources. To achieve the evaluation of UHD video quality, we propose an inter-frame downsampling UHD video quality assessment model (IFDU-VQA) based on deep learning. This model is a no-reference (NR) evaluation model that adopts a dual-branch structure: one branch uses a recursive network to deeply extract video inter-frame features, and combines inter-frame downsampling technology with a multi-information fusion (MIF) module to achieve different time and frequency information. Effective fusion;the other branch applies convolutional neural networks (CNN) to extract features from individual video frames. By fusing the outputs of the two branches, regression and pooling modules are used to calculate the final quality score of the video. Compared with multiple existing models, experimental results show that IFDU-VQA demonstrates superior performance on multiple standard data sets. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, the robustness of machine learning against data poisoning attacks is widely concerned. As a subclass of poisoning attack, the label flipping attack can poison training data resulting in reducing the classification performance of training model. This attack poses a more serious threat in complex network or high-noise environments, such as in the environment of Internet of Things. In this paper, a new label flipping attack method and its defense strategy are proposed. First, a label flipping attack based on agglomerative hierarchical clustering is proposed. The attack uses agglomerative hierarchical clustering to identify vulnerable samples in training data and then carries out label flipping on them. To defend against this attack, a TrAdaBoost-based label correction defense method is proposed. This method uses the TrAdaBoost algorithm to update the weight of the contaminated data, and then uses the updated weight value to judge and remark the contaminated training samples. The contaminated samples are cleaned and used to retrain the classifier. Compared with the state-of-the-art methods, the proposed attack strategy can reduce the accuracy of the model more effectively and the proposed defense method can better protect the classification model. © 2023, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

With the development of Internet technology and the change of network environment, it is particularly important to ensure the security and privacy of biometrics in the process of biometrics authentication. In this regard, we propose a novel identity authentication protocol based on cancelable biometric and Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) which uses the properties of PUF to generate the cancelable biometric and adds it to the complete authentication protocol, so as to realize the two-way authentication between the user and the server. Our authentication protocol makes full use of the characteristics of what users bring in and who users are, overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional key-based protocol, and connecting with the supervised learning algorithm SVM and elliptic curve Pedersen commitment, construct an effective, unique and cancelable biometric identity to replace original biometrics, thus improving the security and privacy protection of the biometrics template. At the same time, we analyze the accuracy of classification algorithms, the revocability and unlinkability of templates through experiments, which further ensures the security and legitimacy of the authentication protocol. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

ADACQR: Enhancing Query Reformulation for Conversational Search via Sparse and Dense Retrieval Alignment

Conversational Query Reformulation (CQR) has significantly advanced in addressing the challenges of conversational search, particularly those stemming from the latent user intent and the need for historical context. Recent works aimed to boost the performance of CQR through alignment. However, they are designed for one specific retrieval system, which potentially results in sub-optimal generalization. To overcome this limitation, we present a novel framework ADACQR. By aligning reformulation models with both term-based and semantic-based retrieval systems, ADACQR enhances the generalizability of information-seeking queries among diverse retrieval environments through a two-stage training strategy. Moreover, two effective approaches are proposed to obtain superior labels and diverse input candidates, boosting the efficiency and robustness of the framework. Experimental results on the TopiOCQA, QReCC and TREC CAsT datasets demonstrate that ADACQR outperforms the existing methods in a more efficient framework, offering both quantitative and qualitative improvements in conversational query reformulation.1 Copyright © 2024, The Authors.
