Large Language Models (LLMs) demonstrate remarkable emergent abilities across various tasks, yet fall short of complex reasoning and planning tasks. The tree-search-based reasoning methods address this by encouraging the exploration of intermediate steps, surpassing the capabilities of chain-of-thought prompting. However, significant inference latency is introduced due to the systematic exploration and evaluation of multiple thought paths. This paper introduces SEED, a novel and efficient inference framework to improve both runtime speed and GPU memory management concurrently. Based on a scheduled speculative execution, SEED efficiently handles multiple iterations for thought generation and state evaluation, leveraging a rounds-scheduled strategy to manage draft model dispatching. Electronic health records (EHRs) play a crucial role in the development of personalized treatment plans for patients. However, EHRs are often highly incomplete, posing significant challenges for predictive modeling. While existing deep learning models employ various imputation techniques to reconstruct missing values, they often fail to represent missing data in a personalized manner and do not learn from the missingness patterns in EHRs data. This limitation reduces their effectiveness in practical personalized healthcare applications. To address this issue, we propose SPIME, a self-supervised model that generates personalized imputations in EHRs data for patient health status prediction. We introduce a personalized missing mask (PMM) based on the frequency of feature measurements. Additionally, we incorporate a masked imputation task (MIT) loss that minimizes the loss of artificially introduced missing values, thereby enhancing the model's capability to handle missing data. SPIME adopts self-supervised pretraining to learn representations from personalized missing patterns and reconstructs missing data in the latent space. To further enhance representation learning, two independent attention mechanisms are applied separately across the feature and temporal dimensions. Experimental results on two real-world EHRs datasets show that SPIME outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods in predicting in-hospital mortality and decompensation, demonstrating its effectiveness in reconstructing missing data and predicting patient health status. Causal Walk: Debiasing Multi-Hop Fact Verification with Front-Door Adjustment

Multi-hop fact verification aims to detect the veracity of the given claim by integrating and reasoning over multiple pieces of evidence. Conventional multi-hop fact verification models are prone to rely on spurious correlations from the annotation artifacts, leading to an obvious performance decline on unbiased datasets. Among the various debiasing works, the causal inference-based methods become popular by performing theoretically guaranteed debiasing such as casual intervention or counterfactual reasoning. However, existing causal inference-based debiasing methods, which mainly formulate fact verification as a single-hop reasoning task to tackle shallow bias patterns, cannot deal with the complicated bias patterns hidden in multiple hops of evidence. To address the challenge, we propose Causal Walk, a novel method for debiasing multi-hop fact verification from a causal perspective with front-door adjustment. Specifically, in the structural causal model, the reasoning path between the treatment (the input claim-evidence graph) and the outcome (the veracity label) is introduced as the mediator to block the confounder. With the front-door adjustment, the causal effect between the treatment and the outcome is decomposed into the causal effect between the treatment and the mediator, which is estimated by applying the idea of random walk, and the causal effect between the mediator and the outcome, which is estimated with normalized weighted geometric mean approximation. To investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method, an adversarial multi-hop fact verification dataset and a symmetric multi-hop fact verification dataset are proposed with the help of the large language model. Experimental results show that Causal Walk outperforms some previous debiasing methods on both existing datasets and the newly constructed datasets. Abnormal-trajectory detection method based on sub-trajectory classification and outlier-factor acquisition

Abnormal-trajectory detection can be used to detect fraudulent behavior of taxi drivers transporting passengers. Aiming at the problem that existing methods do not fully consider abnormal fragments of trajectories, this paper proposes an abnormal-trajectory detection method based on sub-trajectory classification and outlier-factor acquisition, which effectively detects abnormal sub-trajectories and further detects abnormal trajectories. First, each trajectory is reconstructed using the turning angles and is divided into multiple sub-trajectories according to the turning angle threshold and trajectory point original acceleration. The sub-trajectories are then classified according to the extracted directional features. Finally, the multivariate distances between angular adjacent segments are calculated to obtain the outlier factor, and abnormal sub-trajectories are detected. The sum of the lengths of the abnormal sub-trajectories is used to calculate the outlier score and identify abnormal trajectories. Based on experimental results using real trajectory datasets, it has been found that the proposed method performs better at detecting abnormal trajectories than other similar methods. © 2024 – IOS Press. The solution of tridiagonal linear systems is used in in various fields and plays a crucial role in numerical simulations. However, there is few efficient solver for tridiagonal linear systems on the new Sunway supercomputer. Based on a three-dimensional heat conduction problem, we propose an adaptive heterogeneous tridiagonal matrix algorithm (AH-TDMA). Our major innovations include: (1) To address computational hotspots within AH-TDMA, a multi-level parallel approach involving MPI+Athread has been adopted. (2) An adaptive data partitioning scheme has been set up to achieve load balance. (3) Employing direct memory access and establishing shared space between registers and main memory, instead of employing discrete memory access, is done to enhance memory access efficiency. (4) The optimization of the loop structure has been made in adjusting the sequencing of the dual-layered loops to reduce communication overhead. The experimental results show that, with one core group, the AH-TDMA achieves a speedup of 99.6 times for hotspot and total time speedup up to 59.4 times compared to the Parallel and Scalable Library for Tridiagonal Matrix Algorithm (PaScal TDMA). The AH-TDMA is scalable up to 2048 core groups, with a parallel efficiency of 69.2%. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, the rapid advancement of communication technology has undoubtedly improved people's lives. Unfortunately, this progress has also given rise to a significant issue: the proliferation of phishing websites. Regrettably, phishing web sites have now emerged as one of the primary threats to cybersecurity. While there have been extensive efforts to develop anti-phishing techniques, many of these approaches focus solely on a single modality of information, such as the website's URL, HTML source code, or visual features. Given the growing sophistication of phishing attacks, relying on just one modality of information is no longer sufficient to accurately identify phishing websites. To tackle this challenge, our research aims to leverage the complementarity of various modalities to enhance phishing website detection. In this paper, we introduce a multi-modal framework called FusionNet to identify phishing web pages. This framework utilizes three distinct information modalities: URLs, HTML source codes, and visual features. Specifically, our approach first designs specific representation learning architectures tailored to each modality's unique properties. Subsequently, we incorpo-rate an attention mechanism to merge these representations, thereby exploiting the synergies between the multi-modal data. The learned feature representations are more discriminative, contributing to significantly improved phishing website detection accuracy. To evaluate the performance of FusionNet, we collect a dataset comprising phishing webpages, each sample contains all three modalities-URLs, HTML source codes, and visual features. Our extensive experiments conducted on this dataset demonstrate that FusionNet outperforms state-of-the-art methods in terms of both robustness and accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

Inaccurate Label Distribution Learning with Dependency Noise

In this paper, we introduce the Dependent Noise-based Inaccurate Label Distribution Learning (DN-ILDL) framework to tackle the challenges posed by noise in label distribution learning, which arise from dependencies on instances and labels. We start by modeling the inaccurate label distribution matrix as a combination of the true label distribution and a noise matrix influenced by specific instances and labels. To address this, we develop a linear mapping from instances to their true label distributions, incorporating label correlations, and decompose the noise matrix using feature and label representations, applying group sparsity constraints to accurately capture the noise. Furthermore, we employ graph regularization to align the topological structures of the input and output spaces, ensuring accurate reconstruction of the true label distribution matrix. Utilizing the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) for efficient optimization, we validate our method's capability to recover true labels accurately and establish a generalization error bound. Extensive experiments demonstrate that DN-ILDL effectively addresses the ILDL problem and outperforms existing LDL methods. © 2024, CC BY.

Federated graph learning has been widely used in distributed graph machine learning tasks. The data distribution of existing graph-based federated Spatio-temporal prediction methods is mainly segmented by graph topology. However, in the real-world Spatio-temporal traffic speed prediction task, a location will have data from different devices belonging to different companies. A node may have multi-party information in the real-world distributed traffic speed prediction scenario. The difference in multi-party information leads to the information not being fully utilized. Moreover, the direct transmission of node embedding in the federated learning process may also risk privacy leaks. Using homomorphic encryption and other encryption methods will bring a high computational overhead. Therefore we propose a new distributed privacy-preserving traffic speed prediction algorithm, which uses secure node attribute aggregation strategy(SNAAS) to apply to the multi-party collaborative traffic speed prediction scenario when the graph topology structure is public. Community detection is a trendy area in research on complex network analysis and has a wide range of real-world applications, like advertising. As people become increasingly concerned about privacy, protecting participants’ privacy in distributed community detection has become a new challenge. When applied to not identically and independently distributed (Non-IID) data, most federated graph algorithms suffer from the weight divergence problem caused by diversified training of local and global models, resulting in accuracy degradation. Furthermore, the privacy protection approaches based on anonymization, such as differential privacy (DP), and cryptography, such as homomorphic encryption (HE), incur accuracy loss and high time consumption, respectively. In this paper, we propose a globally consistent vertical federated graph autoencoder (GCVFGAE) algorithm, which builds a globally consistent model among the coordinator and all participants to solve the Non-IID graph data problem. As well, an attribute blinding strategy based on security aggregation is developed to protect the network privacy of each participant without losing accuracy. Both real-world and artificial networks’ experiments show that our algorithm reaches higher accuracy than the existing vertical federated graph neural networks (GNNs) and the simple distributed graph autoencoder without federated learning and detects communities identical to those found by the standard graph autoencoder (GAE). © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Due to its efficiency and versatility, the preconditioned conjugate gradient algorithm has long been a staple in the realm of iterative linear system solvers. In this paper, we proposed an optimized preconditioned conjugate gradient algorithm tailored for the SW26010-Pro manycore processor, The main work includes: Optimizing data block sizes based on the processor's storage structure;combining thread-level and data-level parallelism, utilizing manual SIMD to improve efficiency;optimizing the memory access pattern by employing direct memory access and overlapping of computation and communication;employing a shared-memory approach to store long vectors across all cores. Furthermore, we design an accelerated algorithm for reduction operations, to avoid data communication. Experimental results show that the hcaPCG yields up to 28.1× speedups on average compared to the original implementation. © 2023 IEEE.
