A significant proportion of noticeable improvement in machine learning architectures actually benefits from the consistent inspiration of the way human learning [1]. For instance, curriculum learning [2] is inspired by highly organized human education systems, i.e., training the algorithms with easy samples first and gradually transforming to the hard examples can contribute to faster convergence and lower generalization error.

Random mating mayfly algorithm for RFID network planning

In order to improve robustness and efficiency of the radio frequency identification(RFID)network,a random mating mayfly algorithm(RMMA)was ***,RMMA introduced the mechanism of random mating into the mayfly algorithm(MA),which improved the population diversity and enhanced the exploration ability of the algorithm in the early stage,and find a better solution to the RFID nework planning(RNP)***,in RNP,tags are usually placed near the boundaries of the working space,so the minimum boundary mutation strategy was proposed to make sure the mayflies which beyond the boundary can keep the original search direction,as to enhance the ability of searching near the ***,in order to measure the performance of RMMA,the algorithm is then benchmarked on three well-known classic test functions,and the results are verified by a comparative study with particle swarm optimization(PSO),grey wolf optimization(GWO),and *** results show that the RMMA algorithm is able to provide very competitive results compared to these well-known meta-heuristics,RMMA is also applied to solve RNP *** performance evaluation shows that RMMA achieves higher coverage than the other three *** the number of readers is the same,RMMA can obtain lower interference and get a better load balance in each instance compared with other *** can also solve RNP problem stably and efficiently when the number and position of tags change over time.

RFID network planning based on improved brain storm optimization algorithm

In order to improve the service quality of radio frequency identification(RFID) systems, multiple objectives should be comprehensively considered. An improved brain storm optimization algorithm GABSO, which incorporated adaptive learning operator and golden sine operator into the original brain storm optimization(BSO) algorithm, was proposed to solve the problem of RFID network planning(RNP). GABSO algorithm introduces learning operator and golden sine operator to achieve a balance between exploration and development. Based on GABSO algorithm, an optimization model is established to optimize the position of the reader. The GABSO algorithm was tested on the RFID model and dataset, and was compared with other methods. The GABSO algorithm’s tag coverage was increased by 9.62% over the Cuckoo search(CS) algorithm, and 7.70% over BSO. The results show that the GABSO algorithm could be successfully applied to solve the problem of RNP.

Deep learning (DL) introduces a novel data-driven programming paradigm, where the system logic is constructed through data training. However, this approach poses challenges in terms of system analysis and defect detection. To address this issue, recent efforts have focused on testing deep learning systems using intuitive criteria known as Neuron Coverage (NC) and its variants. These criteria measure the activation proportion of neurons in a neural network. Unfortunately, recent DL applications have largely overlooked the importance of context during testing. To address this gap, this paper first incorporates the context of the DL pipeline deployed before test execution, such as medical diagnosis and Android Malware detection. Next, we formulate structural coverage criteria to guide test suite generation based on the properties of DL pipeline in different contexts. Furthermore, we proposed a coverage-guided search algorithm to efficiently generate test suites. Experimental results highlight the effectiveness of our approach in uncovering numerous erroneous behaviors in contexts such as medical image diagnosis and Android malware detection. This approach significantly enhances the robustness of DL models by considering the structural aspects of the DL pipeline. Copyright 2023 KICS.

Hybrid intelligence has emerged as an innovative approach that synergistically combines the strengths of human intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI) to address complex problems. In this paradigm, knowledge graphs play a pivotal role by supplying vital background information and contextual understanding to hybrid intelligence systems. However, due to limitations in local storage capacity, managing large-scale graph data often requires outsourcing to cloud servers. Nevertheless, the use of untrusted cloud servers poses a risk of potential user data leaks. To address these concerns, this paper presents an encryption scheme specifically designed to protect graph data, enabling queries involving intermediate nodes in the shortest path between two nodes within the graph. The proposed scheme ensures the privacy and security of outsourced data by employing a novel method that utilizes padding dictionary structure encryption. This method ensures strict limitations on the cloud server's capabilities, restricting it solely to query operations, it effectively prevents any compromise of user data or unauthorized access to sensitive information, users can securely store and process their graph data on servers, significantly reducing the potential risk of data leakage and unauthorized breaches. To validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed solution, practical experiments were conducted using real-world data. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, with the rapid development of communication technology, location-based services (LBS) in indoor environments have penetrated into various aspects of people’s daily lives. Wireless local area networks (WLAN) have become the preferred choice for location-based services due to their broad deployment and low cost. However, the typical non-line-of-sight characteristics of indoor environments result in severe fluctuations in received signal strength (RSS), signal coverage vulnerabilities can exacerbate environmental interference, making positioning results more vulnerable to attacks or tampering. The layout of indoor network elements is a key factor that constrains signal coverage rate. This paper focuses on the optimization of indoor network element layout, proposes an indoor network element layout optimization model based on signal coverage and quality in indoor environments and introduces an Adaptive Simulation Annealing Non-inertial Opposite Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (ASA-NRPSO). Firstly, a reverse strategy is introduced into the particle flight process of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, and high-quality particles are selected for the next generation iteration. In the selection of the reverse strategy, the simulated annealing idea is integrated to adaptively select the reverse strategy based on the needs of the particles at different stages, which avoids the particles falling into local optima. The inertia term in the particle swarm velocity update formula is replaced with group information for non-inertial updates. This can more fully utilize the global information of the population to guide the movement of the next generation of particles and improve the convergence speed of the particle swarm. The elite mutation strategy is used to increase the diversity of particles and improve the global search capability of the algorithm. This method ensures the rapid generation of network element layout to improve the signal coverage rate

Given that airborne electronic equipment may have a variety of wiring methods and may encounter a set of systems using multiple power supplies, it is necessary to take some measures on the circuit to ensure the normal work of the power supply and the post-circuit. A portable aviation detection equipment power supply system is designed in this paper. The system supports simultaneous access of two power supplies to identify and judge the input power supply and switch between the battery and the external power supply, effectively avoiding the security risks caused by battery backflow current. The battery power is monitored in real-time through the battery power detection circuit and will be reminded when the battery power is too low. Since the circuit uses a MOS tube to control the switching of the power supply, there is almost no voltage drop loss. In addition, the EMC protection circuit is set up at the power supply side to further improve the safety and reliability of the system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With online education rapidly developing, it is a significant issue to evaluate students' grasp of knowledge more accurately. Knowledge tracing models are good at it, in which convolutional knowledge tracing (CKT) based on convolutional neural networks(CNN) gets better performance. However, we found that the CKT model ignores the relation between the knowledge points, which we believe has an important impact on the correctness of students' answers. Therefore, we put forward a graph embedding based convolutional knowledge tracing model (CKT-GE), which feeds the relation between the knowledge points with other inputs into model for improving the effectiveness of knowledge tracing. Our model outperforms existing models on two classic datasets, and improves the performance over the original CKT model, allowing for more accurate assessment of student performance. © 2023 IEEE.

The integration of large education and artificial intelligence technologies is gradually deepening, and how to provide personalized user profiling services for learners is an important research problem. In response to the long-term dependency problem and lack of learning features of today's deep knowledge tracking models, a deep knowledge tracking model (FSA-MuLSTM) based on forgetting features and the self-attentiveness mechanism is proposed. Firstly, the model combines the learner's historical learning interaction tuple sequences with learning times and memory residuals to obtain the input vector based on the LSTM;secondly, the correlation weights between tuples are captured using the self-attention mechanism;finally, the deep information between tuple sequences is captured using the stacking of multilayer LSTMs. The probability of correctly answering the current question is derived from the hidden vectors and the self-attentive weights of the output of the multilayer LSTM. Two public datasets are used for the experiments, and the combined analysis outperforms existing knowledge-tracking models in terms of performance and improves the accuracy of prediction. © 2023 IEEE.

JNMR: Joint Non-Linear Motion Regression for Video Frame Interpolation

Video frame interpolation (VFI) aims to generate predictive frames by motion-warping from bidirectional references. Most examples of VFI utilize spatiotemporal semantic information to realize motion estimation and interpolation. However, due to variable acceleration, irregular movement trajectories, and camera movement in real-world cases, they can not be sufficient to deal with non-linear middle frame estimation. In this paper, we present a reformulation of the VFI as a joint non-linear motion regression (JNMR) strategy to model the complicated inter-frame motions. Specifically, the motion trajectory between the target frame and multiple reference frames is regressed by a temporal concatenation of multi-stage quadratic models. Then, a comprehensive joint distribution is constructed to connect all temporal motions. Moreover, to reserve more contextual details for joint regression, the feature learning network is devised to explore clarified feature expressions with dense skip-connection. Later, a coarse-to-fine synthesis enhancement module is utilized to learn visual dynamics at different resolutions with multi-scale textures. The experimental VFI results show the effectiveness and significant improvement of joint motion regression over the state-of-the-art methods.
