A sequent is a pair (Γ, Δ), which is true under an assignment if either some formula in Γ is false, or some formula in Δ is true. In L_(3)-valued propositional logic, a multisequent is a triple Δ∣Θ∣Γ, which is true under an assignment if either some formula in Δ has truth-value t, or some formula in Θ has truth-value m, or some formula in Γ has truth-value f. There is a sound, complete and monotonic Gentzen deduction system G for sequents. Dually, there is a sound, complete and nonmonotonic Gentzen deduction system G′ for co-sequents Δ: Θ: Γ. By taking different quantifiers some or every, there are 8 kinds of definitions of validity of multisequent Δ∣Θ∣Γ and 8 kinds of definitions of validity of co-multisequent Δ: Θ: Γ, and correspondingly there are 8 sound and complete Gentzen deduction systems for sequents and 8 sound and complete Gentzen deduction systems for co-sequents. Correspondingly their monotonicity is discussed.

As robotic technologies advance, robotic arm manipulation tasks in complex environments become increasingly important. This paper presents a new collaborative pushing and grasping strategy to address two major challenges robotic arms encounter in complex environments: invisibility and tight enclosure of target objects. We propose a generator-evaluator network architecture based on multiple action primitives, incorporating hierarchical reinforcement learning and Double DQN techniques to optimize the operational efficiency of the robotic arm. By introducing a new action primitive to prioritize pushing operations around the topmost objects in space, our approach effectively reveals and locates obscured target objects. Additionally, utilizing the Spatial Correlation Test (SCT), our method explores all possible collision-free operational positions in the action space, selecting the optimal position from among them. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach achieves high efficiency and success rates in scenarios with randomly distributed objects, objects tightly enclosed by others, and invisible objects. This strategy enhances the speed and accuracy of tasks and improves the robot’s adaptability to complex environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The prevalence of short video platforms has spawned a lot of fake news videos, which have stronger propagation ability than textual fake news. Thus, automatically detecting fake news videos has been an important countermeasure in practice. Previous works commonly verify each news video individually with multimodal information. Nevertheless, news videos from different perspectives regarding the same event are commonly posted together, which contain complementary or contradictory information and thus can be used to evaluate each other mutually. To this end, we introduce a new and practical paradigm, i.e., cross-sample fake news video detection, and propose a novel framework, Neighbor-Enhanced fakE news video Detection (NEED), which integrates the neighborhood relationship of new videos belonging to the same event. NEED can be readily combined with existing single-sample detectors and further enhance their performances with the proposed graph aggregation (GA) and debunking rectification (DR) modules. Specifically, given the feature representations obtained from single-sample detectors, GA aggregates the neighborhood information with the dynamic graph to enrich the features of independent samples. After that, DR explicitly leverages the relationship between debunking videos and fake news videos to refute the candidate videos via textual and visual consistency. Extensive experiments on the public benchmark demonstrate that NEED greatly improves the performance of both single-modal (up to 8.34% in accuracy) and multimodal (up to 4.97% in accuracy) base detectors. Diffusion models (DMs) have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in producing images based on textual prompts. Numerous methods have been proposed to ensure these models generate safe images. Early methods attempt to incorporate safety filters into models to mitigate the risk of generating harmful images but such external filters do not inherently detoxify the model and can be easily bypassed. Hence, model unlearning and data cleaning are the most essential methods for maintaining the safety of models, given their impact on model parameters. However, malicious fine-tuning can still make models prone to generating harmful or undesirable images even with these methods. Inspired by the phenomenon of catastrophic forgetting, we propose a training policy using contrastive learning to increase the latent space distance between clean and harmful data distribution, thereby protecting models from being fine-tuned to generate harmful images due to forgetting. The experimental results demonstrate that our methods not only maintain clean image generation capabilities before malicious fine-tuning but also effectively prevent DMs from producing harmful images after malicious fine-tuning. Our method can also be combined with other safety methods to maintain their safety against malicious fine-tuning further. Hyperautomation acts as a real digital transformation with the support of several cutting-edge cognitive computation methods that include robotic process automation, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, and other emerging ones, which is conducive to processing complex industrial processes via extending the range of various data-driven cognitive decision-making algorithms. The study of air quality evaluations (AQE) plays a significant role in ensuring healthy atmospheric environments. In view of the objective existence of uncertainties, AQE can be modeled and addressed by a typical data-driven automated decision-making problem, and hyperautomation can provide a reasonable solution via associating with a variety of techniques. This article explores hyperautomation for AQE via evidential three-way large-scale group decision-making (LSGDM) in an intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) setting. First, the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) is incorporated into the paradigm of multi-granularity (MG) three-way decisions (TWD), and the model of adjustable MG IF probabilistic rough sets (PRSs) is developed. Second, an IF clustering analysis with the improved technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method is conducted to affirm representative members within a decision group. Third, a novel IF LSGDM method is built via adjustable MG IF PRSs and the evidence reasoning (ER) method. Finally, a case study in the setting of AQE is studied by using the presented evidential three-way LSGDM method. Corresponding experimental analyses are carried out for illustrating the efficiency of hyperautomation for AQE. In general, the proposed method improves the performance of information fusion by virtue of adjustable MG IF PRSs, and the TOPSIS method avoids the influence of subjective factors on decision results. Variational quantum algorithms (VQAs) are expected to establish valuable applications on near-term quantum computers. However, recent works have pointed out that the performance of VQAs greatly relies on the expressibility of the ansatzes and is seriously limited by optimization issues, such as barren plateaus (i.e., vanishing gradients). This article proposes the state-efficient ansatz (SEA) for accurate ground state preparation with improved trainability. We show that the SEA can generate an arbitrary pure state with much fewer parameters than a universal ansatz, making it efficient for tasks like ground state estimation. Then, we prove that barren plateaus can be efficiently mitigated by the SEA and the trainability can be further improved most quadratically by flexibly adjusting the entangling capability of the SEA. Finally, we investigate a plethora of examples in ground state estimation where we obtain significant improvements in the magnitude of the cost gradient and the convergence speed. © 2020 IEEE.

Non-autoregressive translation (NAT) reduces the decoding latency but suffers from performance degradation due to the multi-modality problem. Recently, the structure of directed acyclic graph has achieved great success in NAT, which tackles the multi-modality problem by introducing dependency between vertices. However, training it with negative log-likelihood loss implicitly requires a strict alignment between reference tokens and vertices, weakening its ability to handle multiple translation modalities. In this paper, we hold the view that all paths in the graph are fuzzily aligned with the reference sentence. We do not require the exact alignment but train the model to maximize a fuzzy alignment score between the graph and reference, which takes captured translations in all modalities into account. Extensive experiments on major WMT benchmarks show that our method substantially improves translation performance and increases prediction confidence, setting a new state of the art for NAT on the raw training data. © 2023 11th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2023. As one of the key problems in computer-aided medical image analysis, learning how to model global relationships and extract local details is crucial to improve the performance of abdominal multi-organ segmentation. While current techniques for Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are quite mature, their limited receptive field makes it difficult to balance the ability to capture global relationships with local details, especially when stacked onto deeper networks. Thus, several recent works have proposed Vision Transformer based on a self-attentive mechanism and used it for abdominal multi-organ segmentation. However, Vision Transformer is computationally expensive by modeling long-range relationships on pairs of patches. To address these issues, we propose a novel multi-organ segmentation framework, named GDTNet, based on the synergy of CNN and Transformer for mining global relationships and local details. To achieve this goal, we innovatively design a Dilated Attention Module (DAM) that can efficiently capture global contextual features and construct global semantic information. Specifically, we employ a three-parallel branching structure to model the global semantic information of multiscale encoded features by Dilated Transformer, combined with global average pooling under the supervision of Gate Attention. In addition, we fuse each DAM with DAMs from all previous layers to further encode features between scales. Extensive experiments on the Synapse dataset show that our method outperforms ten other state-of-the-art segmentation methods, achieving accurate segmentation of multiple organs in the abdomen. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Learning efficient text-to-image synthesis via interstage cross-sample similarity distillation

For a given text, previous text-to-image synthesis methods commonly utilize a multistage generation model to produce images with high resolution in a coarse-to-fine manner. However, these methods ignore the interaction among stages, and they do not constrain the consistent cross-sample relations of images generated in different stages. These deficiencies result in inefficient generation and discrimination. In this study, we propose an interstage cross-sample similarity distillation model based on a generative adversarial network(GAN) for learning efficient text-to-image synthesis. To strengthen the interaction among stages,we achieve interstage knowledge distillation from the refined stage to the coarse stages with novel interstage cross-sample similarity distillation blocks. To enhance the constraint on the cross-sample relations of the images generated at different stages, we conduct cross-sample similarity distillation among the stages. Extensive experiments on the Oxford-102 and Caltech-UCSD Birds-200-2011(CUB) datasets show that our model generates visually pleasing images and achieves quantitatively comparable performance with state-of-the-art methods.

As the scale of the networks continually expands,the detection of distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks has become increasingly *** propose an intelligent detection model named IGED by using improved generalized entropy and deep neural network(DNN).The initial detection is based on improved generalized entropy to filter out as much normal traffic as possible,thereby reducing data *** the fine detection is based on DNN to perform precise DDoS detection on the filtered suspicious traffic,enhancing the neural network’s generalization *** results show that the proposed method can efficiently distinguish normal traffic from DDoS *** with the benchmark methods,our method reaches 99.9%on low-rate DDoS(LDDoS),flooded DDoS and CICDDoS2019 datasets in terms of both accuracy and efficiency in identifying attack flows while reducing the time by 17%,31%and 8%.
