Certificateless signature scheme can be applied to ensure data integrity, where the public key infrastructure cannot be not easily deployed while the identity-based cryptography is not suitable either because of the key-escrow problem. In many applications, large amount of resource-limited equipment are installed and there is the demand of reducing the computational burden. On the other hand, the Chinese national cryptographic standards (SM algorithms) have been widely adopted in both domestic and abroad. The SM algorithms are preferred and even compulsory, in particular with the key infrastructure systems. For certificateless schemes, the national standard have not been selected and published. Meanwhile, traditional constructions extended from identity-based schemes share the same underlying mathematical structure. For example, the SM9 algorithm require bilinear pairing operations and a certificateless scheme extended from it also requires comparatively heavy computations. In this paper, we study how to achieve pairing-free certificateless signature scheme and propose a concrete construction based on SM2 algorithm. The core idea of the construction is similar to the general transformation from traditional signature to identity-based signature by Bellare et al. and it does not resort to bilinear pairing. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Federated learning has attracted significant attention in recent years, providing a secure and feasible approach for cross-institutional and cross-organizational data collaboration. Synchronous federated learning offers advantages such as easier control of convergence, simpler implementation, and better interpretability. However, it suffers from long waiting times, high stability requirements, and limited scalability. Asynchronous federated learning overcomes the issue of slow nodes in synchronous federated learning, offering higher efficiency and better scalability. However, it also introduces challenges such as complex model convergence and the risk of outdated updates. Inspired by these approaches, we propose a flexible semi-asynchronous federated learning scheme AFSA-FL to address the issues of low round efficiency and slow convergence under extreme conditions. We optimize client selection and global aggregation during the training process of the global model. This approach mitigates the impact of model staleness while ensuring model convergence. Experimental simulations demonstrate that the proposed method effectively reduces training time per round and improves the accuracy of the global model.

Existing indoor visible light positioning methods, such as those based on fingerprint database algorithms, are complex to construct and consume significant resources. In response to this issue, the text proposes an end-to-end indoor visible light positioning method that samples continuous signals at a small number of random coordinate positions in indoor environments. Through a deep learning method based on attention mechanism, a nonlinear mapping between the received signal and spatial position coordinates is constructed, and the time series properties in the received signal are encoded as a feature in the data. The method is further improved by combining residual networks to improve accuracy. Through simulation experiments, it has been verified that the deep learning based localization method described in this article can achieve sub meter level accuracy on small sample datasets, and it has been proven that time series features have a significant impact on localization accuracy in indoor visible light positioning algorithms based on deep learning. © 2024 IEEE.

Attention mechanism has been a successful method for multimodal affective analysis in recent years. Despite the advances, several significant challenges remain in fusing language and its nonverbal context information. One is to generate sparse attention coefficients associated with acoustic and visual modalities, which helps locate critical emotional se-mantics. The other is fusing complementary cross‐modal representation to construct optimal salient feature combinations of multiple modalities. A Conditional Transformer Fusion network is proposed to handle these problems. Firstly, the authors equip the transformer module with CNN layers to enhance the detection of subtle signal patterns in nonverbal sequences. Secondly, sentiment words are utilised as context conditions to guide the computation of cross‐modal attention. As a result, the located nonverbal fea-tures are not only salient but also complementary to sentiment words directly. Experi-mental results show that the authors’ method achieves state‐of‐the‐art performance on several multimodal affective analysis datasets.

In the new power system scenario, power IoT terminals have new characteristics such as diverse hardware heterogeneity and complex subject ownership, which make it technically difficult to achieve secure access authentication based on traditional terminal hardware fingerprint recognition technology. A power IoT terminal fingerprint recognition technology suitable for the Modbus protocol is proposed to solve this problem. This method combines the characteristics of Modbus protocol packet parsing, which is a common industrial control communication protocol. Firstly, based on active packet detection technology, it realizes the survival judgment of business terminals and constructs a coarse-grained topology image of terminal production. Then, by passively monitoring and analyzing the characteristics of terminal interaction traffic behavior, a terminal behavior fingerprint recognition model is constructed based on the deep learning algorithm BiLSTM to achieve accurate terminal type discrimination, thereby establishing a power IoT terminal fingerprint recognition model. The experimental results in a distributed photovoltaic scenario show that the method has an average classification and recognition accuracy of 89.6% for common power business terminals, which can basically meet the lightweight and non-invasive business requirements of terminal fingerprint recognition in new power system scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Web attacks have long been a serious threat to network security. At present, malicious web requests are flooding in the network environment. Traditional detection methods need expert rules or a large number of Feature Engineering, and are not good at detecting new malicious requests. In order to overcome the above problems, we propose a neural network based on deep learning and multi granularity feature fusion to detect malicious web requests. Specifically, we use multi-layer CNN to extract the requests character level features, and use BiLSTM based on attention mechanism to extract word level features. Then the two granularity features are fused to construct a more accurate feature representation of web requests. Finally, the web requests are classified by a linear classifier to identify malicious. The experimental results show that compared with the existing methods, this method has significant advantages. © 2022 ACM.

With the increasing shortage of water resources and the improvement of environmental awareness, intelligent water meter monitoring systems have become a hot research topic in the field of water conservation. This paper studies and designs a smart water meter system based on NB-IoT, and discusses its effect in practical applications. This smart water meter monitoring system adopts STM8 microcontroller as the main control chip of the water meter, and adopts the low-power NB-IoT module BC28 module to upload the monitored voltage data, network signal quantity, current water consumption and collection time to the TLink cloud platform in real time, which solves the problems of unstable communication in the working environment, high power consumption of long-term sensor collection and transmission data. At the same time, the water meter can achieve the function of remote control of the water valve switch by driving the stepper motor, which perfectly solves the problems and shortcomings of the current traditional water meter and smart water meter, and greatly meets the development needs of the water industry. © 2023 IEEE.

Theoretical linguists have suggested that some languages (e.g., Chinese and Japanese) are "cooler" than other languages based on the observation that the intended meaning of phrases in these languages depends more on their contexts. As a result, many expressions in these languages are shortened, and their meaning is inferred from the context. In this paper, we focus on the omission of the plurality and definiteness markers in Chinese noun phrases (NPs) to investigate the predictability of their intended meaning given the contexts. To this end, we built a corpus of Chinese NPs, each of which is accompanied by its corresponding context, and by labels indicating its singularity/plurality and definiteness/indefiniteness. We carried out corpus assessments and analyses. The results suggest that Chinese speakers indeed drop plurality and definiteness markers very frequently. Building on the corpus, we train a bank of computational models using both classic machine learning models and state-of-the-art pre-trained language models to predict the plurality and definiteness of each NP. We report on the performance of these models and analyse their behaviours. In the field of intelligent digital healthcare, Continuous-flow microfluidic biochip (CFMB) has become a research direction of widespread concern. CFMB integrates a large number of microvalves and large-scale microchannel networks into a single chip, enabling efficient execution of various biochemical protocols. However, as the scale of the chip increases, the routing task for CFMB becomes increasingly complex, and traditional manual routing is no longer sufficient to meet the requirements. Therefore, this paper proposes an automatic routing framework for CFMB based on Genetic algorithm (GA) and A* algorithms. Specifically, we adopt a two-stage A* algorithm to design the routing between modules, using the routing results obtained from the A* algorithm as the basis for evaluating the quality of solutions in the GA algorithm. Then, the GA algorithm is used to search for the optimal approximate solution in the solution space. Experimental results show that this method can reduce routing length and minimize routing crossings, thereby improving the parallel transmission speed of reagents on CFMB. This approach provides a feasible solution for large-scale automated routing of CFMB in the field of intelligent digital healthcare. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Continuous-Flow Microfluidic Biochip (CFMB), with their integrated features, bring traditional biochemical experiments on a single chip to accomplish complex operations and reactions through precise control, efficient reactions and emerging ways of saving reagents. In the field of intelligent digital healthcare, CFMB have attracted a lot of attention. However, traditional manual design schemes can no longer meet the needs of increasingly complex chip architecture design. Therefore, this paper proposes an automated design method for resource binding and module placement of CFMB based on a list scheduling algorithm and an improved Simulated Annealing algorithm. Through the resource binding and scheduling design based on the list scheduling algorithm, an effective scheduling strategy is generated, which effectively improves the biochip execution efficiency. In addition, the improved Simulated Annealing algorithm solves the module placement problem in the biochip in a limited physical space. Compared with some benchmark algorithms, the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method in the biochip design process and provide a practical framework for further development of CFMB in the field of intelligent digital healthcare. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.
