Active power dispatch of wind farms plays an important role in power grid scheduling. In this paper, a data-driven active power dispatch strategy for wind farms is proposed, which uses the key point of minimizing the standard deviation of wind turbines' output power series to reduce their fluctuations. First, to build the optimization problem, the historical active power output data of each wind turbine is collected from the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Then, the objective function is developed based on the idea of minimizing the standard deviation of the output power time series. Meanwhile, considering the constraints of wind turbines' output power and active power balance of the grid, the feasible domain of the cost function is constructed. Further, to solve the proposed nonlinear optimization problem with equality and inequality constraints, the trust region interior point method (TRIPM) is employed to explore optimal solution within the feasible domain. Finally, actual data collected from wind farms is used to test effectiveness of the designed approach and experimental results show that our method can achieve better output power smoothing performance than conventional Proportional Dispatch (PD) method.

The primary objective of medical image segmentation is the isolation of pathological tissues and distinct organs from medical images, thereby assisting in medical diagnosis. The methods employed for medical image segmentation encompass convolutional neural networks and transformer-based methods. Although the self-attention mechanism in Transformers improves its capability to capture long-range dependencies, it have limitations in learning local (contextual) relationships between pixels. Some previous research has tried to solve this problem by incorporating convolutional layers into the encoder or decoder of transformers, but sometimes feature inconsistencies arise. To better extract local features from images using convolutional neural networks and to fuse low-resolution and high-resolution features from higher-level and lower features, we propose the Convolutional Attention Augmentation TransUNet (CAA-TransUNet) model. In our model, firstly, we propose a convolutional attention augmentation module that enhances both local and global features by suppressing irrelevant background information. Secondly, we have integrated attention gates into the skip connections to aggregate feature information from various stages of the encoder during the upsampling process. Finally, we employ the technique of aggregating the loss of multi-stage features to expedite convergence speed and enhance performance. The experimental results on three public datasets demonstrate that our proposed model significantly outperforms the baseline methods.

Extracting buildings from remote sensing images using deep learning techniques is a widely applied and crucial task. Convolutional Neural networks (CNNs) adopt hierarchical feature representation, showcasing powerful capabilities in extracting local information but facing challenges in capturing global features. Transformers can address this limitation, but they perform poorly in extracting local features and significantly increase memory requirements and computational complexity. To overcome these challenges, we propose a method for building extraction from remote sensing images called LGDB-Net (Local-Global Dual-Branch network), employing a dual-branch approach. Firstly, inspired by Swin Transformer, we designed GB-Former(Global Branch-Former) as the backbone network to model global information. We use a linear multi-head self-attention mechanism to reduce time and memory complexity while maintaining a large global receptive field. Additionally, we replace the traditional multi-layer perceptron with a convolution-enhanced multi-layer perceptron to improve channel feature representation, reduce model parameters, and enhance segmentation performance. Secondly, we use multiple Depth-wise Conv3×3 + LN (Layer Normalization) + GeLU (Gaussian Error Linear Unit) modules as the auxiliary branch for local detailed feature extraction. Finally, we adopt a multi-scale feature fusion strategy to integrate feature information from both branches. We conduct a series of experiments on three datasets: WHU, Massachusetts, and Inria. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method not only effectively improves segmentation accuracy with lower building omission and commission rates but also significantly reduces model parameters and computational complexity.

To balance three-phase loads in distribution network with abundant of single-phase loads, a new wiring method and three-phase loads adjustment policy was proposed in this paper. In the wiring method, a single-phase load was connected with phase A, B and C of trunk line by a controller. When the load of trunk line was unbalanced, the controller will switch the connected single-phase loads from one phase to another to balance it. The minimum count of loads adjustment algorithm and the most balance adjustment algorithm were proposed, which can adjust the three-phase load of trunk line to roughly balance automatically. This method can solve the serious three-phase unbalance problems of the trunk lines with aboundant of single-phase loads. It may instead of capacitive compensation in low voltage distribution network to improve power quality and reduce network losses. © 2013 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.

Generative Sentiment Analysis via Latent Category Distribution and Constrained Decoding

Fine-grained sentiment analysis involves extracting and organizing sentiment elements from textual data. However, existing approaches often overlook issues of category semantic inclusion and overlap, as well as inherent structural patterns within the target sequence. This study introduces a generative sentiment analysis model. To address the challenges related to category semantic inclusion and overlap, a latent category distribution variable is introduced. By reconstructing the input of a variational autoencoder, the model learns the intensity of the relationship between categories and text, thereby improving sequence generation. Additionally, a trie data structure and constrained decoding strategy are utilized to exploit structural patterns, which in turn reduces the search space and regularizes the generation process. Experimental results on the Restaurant-ACOS and Laptop-ACOS datasets demonstrate a significant performance improvement compared to baseline models. Ablation experiments further confirm the effectiveness of latent category distribution and constrained decoding strategy. © 2024, CC BY.

With the increasing intelligence of power IoT terminal devices, the massive volume of data transmission, and the widespread adoption of shared services, traditional terminal boundary security mechanisms are unable to keep up with the rapid development of network technologies and applications. Additionally, they fail to trace and source network attacks, leading to frequent organized and purposeful malicious attack incidents. To address these issues, this paper proposes a research method for risk modeling and traceability of boundary attacks on power IoT terminals based on complex networks. First, based on the node information of power IoT terminal devices and complex network theory, a terminal boundary attack network (TBAN) is established. Next, using indicators related to complex network theory, such as degree, in-degree, and out-degree, the terminal boundary attack network is analyzed. Furthermore, a staged TBAN is proposed to analyze the attack risks at different times. Then, combining causal theory, a method for tracing and sourcing terminal boundary attacks based on a causal Bayesian network is proposed to identify and trace malicious attacks. Finally, validation and testing analysis are conducted using the actual deployment of power IoT terminal devices. The proposed analysis method transforms the spatial characteristics of the power IoT terminal boundary into a temporally sequential TBAN, which not only visually reflects attack risks but also reveals the temporal relationships of terminal boundary attacks between lines.

Optical networks-on-chips (ONoCs) have emerged as the most promising solution for on-chip interconnection networks, offering distinct advantages such as high bandwidth and low latency. However, traditional wired-based ONoCs often suffer from a high average number of hops, leading to challenges such as increased insertion loss, crosstalk noise, and energy consumption. Therefore, this paper presents a novel ONoC structure known as the metasurface ONoC (MSONoC), which integrates wired waveguide and free-space optical (FSO) transmission with the assistance of metasurfaces. Specifically, this work encompasses the design of a passive metasurface structure tailored for ONoCs, a virtual network cluster partitioning method, an optical metasurface access points select strategy, and a shortest-path routing algorithm. Performance verification is conducted using a modified Noxim simulator. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed MSONoC offers advantages over traditional NoCs, radio frequency (RF)-based hybrid wired/wireless NoCs, and wired-based ONoCs in terms of throughput, delay, energy consumption, and signal-to-noise ratio under both synthetic traffic and real traffic models. These improvements proves the effectiveness of the MSONoC architecture in optimizing network performance, making it a promising solution for high-performance, energy-efficient communication in on-chip networks. © 2017 IEEE.

With the idea of divide and rule, there exist two different forms of semantic features flowing in the two stage instance segmentation paradigms. They are the global features at the image level and the instance features at the region-wise. The most significant distinction of the two macro-semantic morphological features lies in the different relevance of neighborhood features caused by background noise. Hence, we should consider different situations and make different schemes. Notice that the fields-of-view determines the range of local features that can be perceived in the convolution operation and implies the representation capability of the network. To this end, for FPN and Mask Head in two stage paradigms, we propose a more efficient methodology with Group-Inception and Asymmetric-Inception modules. This proposed methodology can act as a drop-in replacement to upgrade the plain convolution operation, which enables the network to look more via modeling long-range dependencies. Our method is simple yet effective. Quantitatively, we can significantly improve the state-of-the-art frameworks, including Mask R-CNN, Mask Scoring R-CNN, Cascade Mask R-CNN, and HTC by about 1.2%–2.2% AP on MS COCO test-dev yet with fewer parameters and FLOPs. Moreover, the proposed approach achieves competitive performances on the Scapes, KINS and SBD datasets. The source code of our method will be made available. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd

Infrared small object detection is an important computer vision task involving the recognition and localization of tiny objects in infrared images, which usually contain only a few pixels. However, it encounters difficulties due to the diminutive size of the objects and the generally complex backgrounds in infrared images. In this paper, we propose a deep learning method, HCF-Net, that significantly improves infrared small object detection performance through multiple practical modules. Specifically, it includes the parallelized patch-aware attention (PPA) module, dimension-aware selective integration (DASI) module, and multi-dilated channel refiner (MDCR) module. The PPA module uses a multi-branch feature extraction strategy to capture feature information at different scales and levels. The DASI module enables adaptive channel selection and fusion. The MDCR module captures spatial features of different receptive field ranges through multiple depth-separable convolutional layers. Extensive experimental results on the SIRST infrared single-frame image dataset show that the proposed HCF-Net performs well, surpassing other traditional and deep learning models. Drug box recognition is an integral part of the pharmacy automation system (PAS), which checks for discrepancies between the drugs provided by the system and the doctor’s prescription with the help of modern image recognition techniques. Although deep learning has facilitated the development of pharmacy automation systems, practical applications still face challenges. First, pharmacies update drugs frequently, and many pharmacies across the country are trained independently, which requires consuming massive computational resources. Secondly, the equipment performance of pharmacies is poor, and it’s hard to guarantee the real-time and accuracy of recognition. Therefore, we propose a cloud-side collaborative drug box recognition system. When new drugs are added, the new model is trained in the cloud and uniformly distributed to each edge through this architecture. In terms of real-time recognition, an improved lightweight YOLOv5 model is added to the edge part, and a text recognition module is deployed in the cloud to validate the recognition results at the edge. This cloud-edge collaboration architecture not only ensures the accuracy of recognition, but also reduces the burden on the compute edge, ensures the real-time *** results show that the proposed cloud-edge architecture reduces the recognition latency by 37.18% and achieves a precision of 97.47%. The improved YOLOv5 model reduces GFLOPs by 45% while achieving a 1.6% precision improvement.
