Semantic segmentation is widely used in remote sensing data extraction and classification. Existing semantic segmentation networks focus on capturing contextual information in many different ways, simply fusing features at different levels, and ultimately improving the accuracy of semantic segmentation. However, low-level semantic features lack spatial context guidance, and high-level semantic features tend to encode large objects with coarse spatial details, making segmentation results prone to losing fine details. In this paper, we analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different levels of feature maps, and enhance the feature representation from two aspects to solve this problem. On the one hand, inspired by the architectural idea of atrous spatial pyramic pooling (ASPP), we adjust the structure of ASPP module and add the attention module to ASPP, and a new Attention-ASPP(AASPP) module is constructed in this paper. On the other hand, feature information such as boundary contours is enhanced by channel attention modeling, thereby improving local detail representation. Comprehensive experimental results show that our model framework achieves excellent segmentation performance on two public datasets, WHU building dataset and ISPRS Potsdam dataset. © 2023 SPIE.

Semantic hashing is an effective technique to empower information retrieval. Currently, considerable efforts have been dedicated to generating high-quality hash codes by modeling document features using generative models and other approaches. However, most of these methods rely solely on a single type of feature, such as TFIDF features, BERT embeddings, etc. As different types of features have distinct but complementary information of documents, e.g. TFIDF mainly contains the keywords information and BERT focuses on the semantics, hash codes generated solely from either may not capture the full essence of the documents. To overcome this challenge, we propose a semantic-alignment-promoting variational auto-encoder to generate hash codes from multiple document features. Specifically, a VAE-based generative model is first developed to model the multiple features. Then, we propose a semantic-alignment-promoting inference network to estimate the parameters of the variational posterior from multiple features. Additionally, the quality of hash codes is further improved by promoting the semantic alignment between the hash codes of connected documents in a constructed connection graph. The results of extensive experiments on three public datasets demonstrate that our proposed model significantly outperforms current state-of-the-art models. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In order to reconfigure its structure from the static state in the vision odd ball task, so as to realize the intention recognition based on the characteristics of the brain functional network. The thesis proposes the intention recognition method based on resting state and P300 task state dynamic brain functional network features. First, the brain connectivity in each time window is constructed into a brain functional network using phase lock value (PLV). Then, extract the global features (global efficiency, transitivity) of the brain functional network, and use Louvain algorithm to obtain the brain functional network community. The experimental results show that in the (100-200) ms of P300 task status, the core nodes are mainly concentrated in the forehead region and the central region, while in the (300-500) ms of P300, the core nodes are concentrated in the temporal lobe. The recognition accuracy based on this method reaches 93%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The identification of drug-protein interactions (DTIs) is a critical step in drug development and repositioning. However, detecting these interactions using scientific methods presents a formidable challenge. Existing models often struggle to extract relevant information from drug-protein sequences, and they fail to consider pre-existing interactions between pairs. Here, we introduce a deep learning model, DPAG, based on attention mechanisms and graph neural networks, which overcomes these limitations. DPAG leverages information from both the drug and protein sequences, as well as the association between drug-protein pairs, to predict DTIs. We conducted multiple experiments to evaluate the performance of the model in benchmark datasets, and the results showed that DPAG achieved excellent performance in terms of AUC, AUPR, precision, and recall. Our findings suggest that DPAG holds significant potential as a promising tool for predicting DTIs in drug development and repositioning. Complex lighting is one of the most challenging problems in automatic guided vehicle (AGV) vision recognition system. In order to overcome the influence of uneven illumination on the accuracy and robustness of path recognition, this paper proposes the LCS based visual recognition for AGV guide paths under complex illumination conditions method, which converts the collected image into an invariant image through logarithmic chromaticity space (LCS) to eliminate the influence of illumination, and the minimum average entropy angle is used as the projection angle to generate the invariant image to improve the speed of image conversion to the invariant image. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the robustness of AGV vision recognition system under complex lighting conditions. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

image shadow removal is challenging due to the diversity of shadows and the dependence on the background of the area covered by shadows. In this paper, we design an enhanced generative adversarial network (EGAN) to handle the shadow removal task. EGAN is a complicated generative adversarial network that may exploit previous info, like shadow masks and lightness estimation, for improving recovery capability. In addition, EGAN can effectively utilize the details of shadow regions and eliminate artifacts. EGAN owns three main advantages. First, EGAN employs stricter rules for discriminators, which can upgrade the instability of traditional GAN. Second, EGAN involves a completely unique enhanced attention module, which may efficiently pick up different types of previous info to accelerate the learning efficiency of image reconstruction. Finally, EGAN is essentially an original cascaded network, that is, DRDU, which is beneficial for efficiently detecting hierarchical features of image recovery. Simulation experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method on two benchmark datasets including SRD and ISTD, the strengths of our proposed method are indicated over the current representative ones according to subjective performance and objective estimation indexes. © 2023 IEEE.

In long-term visual tracking, target occlusion and out-of-view are common problems that lead to target drift, adding re-detection to short-term tracking algorithms is a general solution. To better handle the problem of target disappearing and reappearing in long-term visual tracking, this paper proposes a temporal global re-detection method based on interaction-fusion attention. Firstly, ResNet50 is used as the feature extraction network to obtain the depth features of the template and the search region. Then, a new interaction-fusion attention is added to extract the connection of different dimensionality of features. Finally, Temporal ROI Align is introduced to select candidate boxes, increasing the use of historical information by re-detection method, and improving the accuracy of target localization. STMTrack algorithm is selected as the short-term tracking algorithm, which works with the proposed re-detection method to construct a long-term tracking algorithm, and experiments are conducted on the UAV123, LaSOT, UAV20L, and VOT2018-LT datasets, and the effectiveness of this re-detection method can be seen from the experimental results. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Predicting retail sales is a hot research topic that can help firms achieve on-demand procurement. That can reduce the extra costs caused by an inventory shortage or surpluses. Traditional methods usually regard the sales of a certain product as the independent time series and then solve the task by a curve fitting model. However, the sales volume is not a single value, but the one aggregated from many types of products. There are correlations between different types of product sales. The increase in one type of product sales may lead to changes in sales in another type. Without capturing the correlation between different product sales, it is difficult to obtain satisfactory performance. To solve this problem, we propose a new multi-task method based on multivariate time series learning. Considering there are multiple product types and each type has different trend characteristics, we first cluster the time series of all product types and then model each as a multivariate prediction task. We then design a new dilated convolution network to fusion the features of related products and the trend characteristic of each task. Moreover, we develop a trend structural entropy network to grasp the fluctuation features of the task. A new self-enhancement mechanism is proposed to finely capture the correlations among tasks. Through multi-task learning, the model can effectively improve prediction accuracy by using the complementary information of closely related time series. Experimental results on two real data sets show the effectiveness of our approach. © 2022 SPIE.

With the continuous increase in data size and model complexity, the computational workload has grown rapidly, posing a significant challenge to the capabilities of computer data processing and simulation calculations. Therefore, parallel programming based on multicore and cluster architectures has become one of the mainstream technologies to enhance program execution efficiency and numerical computation efficiency. The theoretical foundations of parallel program computing have been applied in various aspects of engineering applications and theoretical simulations. In this paper, a new parallel PID anti-integral saturation controller is designed for a second-order closed-loop control system of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It compares and analyzes the runtime, execution efficiency, and speedup ratio of parallel programs and general serial programs under the same scenario. The experimental results demonstrate that parallel computing significantly improves the simulation program's efficiency for PID controller anti-saturation control systems under identical scenarios, exhibiting a high speedup ratio on the existing computing platform. Additionally, this study consolidates common issues encountered in MATLAB parallel program design, offering valuable insights into overcoming challenges in this domain. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper addresses the problem of low fault estimation accuracy in Lipschitz nonlinear systems with external disturbances, presenting an innovative strategy based on a Reinforcement Iterative Learning (RIL) framework. Initially, we conducted precise mathematical modeling, comprehensively considering the impact of Lipschitz non-linearity and external disturbances. Subsequently, an iterative learning fault observer was designed, and the optimization problem for its parameters was reformulated into a reinforcement learning task, clearly defining the states, actions, and reward functions. Employing the Advantage Actor-Critic (A2C) reinforcement learning method, we optimized the gain parameters of the iterative learning fault estimator to approximate non-linearity. Simultaneously, with the increase in iteration count, the neural network weights were continually optimized, achieving accurate fault estimation. Experimental results demonstrate a significant improvement in fault estimation using the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.
