The pulse profiles of the Crab pulsar(as well as some other pulsars)vary with *** can lead to a major source of intrinsic timing noise,which lacks a detailed physical *** phase separation?between the first left peak(P1)and the second right peak(P2)is a key parameter that shows the variations of pulse profiles for the Crab *** was found that the evolution of?has a tendency with increasing rates of 0.82?±0.25?,0.80?±0.54?,and 0.77?±0.28?per century for the 2-6,6-15,and15-60 ke V bands,***,the flux ratios(P2/P1)of X-ray pulse profiles in the three bands were calculated,and the derived flux ratios were consistent with the radio and X-ray measurements of the *** addition to discovering the physical origin of the pulse changes,the high-SNR X-ray pulse profiles were simulated in the annular gap model,and two model parameters(e.g.,the maximum emission heights of the two peaks)were observed to slightly affect the variations of peak *** fitted the long-term variations of emission heights of the two peaks and discovered that the emission heights showed increasing tendencies with *** of these emission heights induced a characteristic period derivative,and a complete formula for both the magnetic dipole radiation and wind-particle-induced variations of the moment of inertia was used for the pulsar’s spin-down to obtain the variation rate˙αof the magnetic inclination angle,which was-1.60?per *** timing noise is observed to be mainly induced by the variations of pulse profiles,which might correlate with a characteristic spin period derivative arising from the fluctuations of the emission *** work will lay a foundation for understanding the origin of intrinsic timing noise and making high-precision timing models in the future.

Label-aware Multi-level Contrastive Learning for Cross-lingual Spoken Language Understanding

Despite the great success of spoken language understanding (SLU) in high-resource languages, it remains challenging in low-resource languages mainly due to the lack of labeled training data. The recent multilingual code-switching approach achieves better alignments of model representations across languages by constructing a mixed-language context in zero-shot cross-lingual SLU. However, current code-switching methods are limited to implicit alignment and disregard the inherent semantic structure in SLU, i.e., the hierarchical inclusion of utterances, slots, and words. In this paper, we propose to model the utterance-slot-word structure by a multi-level contrastive learning framework at the utterance, slot, and word levels to facilitate explicit alignment. Novel code-switching schemes are introduced to generate hard negative examples for our contrastive learning framework. Furthermore, we develop a label-aware joint model leveraging label semantics to enhance the implicit alignment and feed to contrastive learning. Our experimental results show that our proposed methods significantly improve the performance compared with the strong baselines on two zero-shot cross-lingual SLU benchmark datasets. © 2022, CC BY-NC-ND.

A Federated Learning Based Intelligent Fault Diagnosis Framework for Manufacturing Processes with Intraclass and Interclass Imbalance

data-based fault diagnosis technology is an important measure to improve the operation safety, stability, and reliability of manufacturing processes, which is a key entry point and innovation power to promote the intelligent manufacturing as well as improve the operation efficiency. Class-balanced datasets often used for modeling and fault diagnosis by the traditional data-based methods. However, in practical engineering applications, manufacturing processes often produce multiple classifications of imbalance data, bringing great challenges to the promotions and applications of the classical data-based methods. To this end, an intelligent fault diagnosis framework is proposed for manufacturing processes, of which the issues on the intraclass and interclass imbalance have been focused. Specifically, considering the non-independently identically distribution characteristics among different fault data and the low recognition rates of minority fault samples, a new cost sensitive convolutional neural network is constructed as a base classifier by coordinating the cross entropy loss function with a specific cost sensitive index. Subsequently, a federated learning based aggregation algorithm is designed to optimize the participation weights of local classifiers with the purpose of cooperating with multiple classifiers to improve the model generalization performance. Finally, the validity of the proposed framework is demonstrated by a typical hot rolling process with different forms of imbalance fault data. The simulation results show that superior diagnosis performance can be achieved compared with some comparative algorithms in each scenario. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Convex evidence theory model is the only method to fuse ordered proposition, in this paper we proposed a novel convex evidence theory model based on Gaussian function, we modified Gaussian function and used it to combine mass function of ordered propositions, we presented the calculation of the parameters of this function, and proposed a more accurate method to find the most likely true proposition. Theoretical analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method has lower time complexity and higher accuracy in some cases than existing methods.

Dear Editor ,More than 50% of drugs are derived from chemical compounds that have been isolated from various plants （Fabricant and Farnsworth, 2001; Yarnell and Abascal, 2002）. With the development of sequencing technology and synthetic biology, we can obtain molecular information from the transcriptomic and genomic data of plants and then utilize bacteria to synthesize desired chemical compounds （Atanasov et al., 2015; Smanski et al., 2016）. Increasing numbers of researchers have started to publish omics data generated from herbal plants.

Recently, food segmentation has obtained growing attention in the field of computer vision for its great potential in human health. Most of existing methods utilize deep visual features extracting from Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for food segmentation. However, these works ignore characteristics of food images and are thus difficult to achieve optimal segmentation performance. Compared with general image segmentation, food images usually do not exhibit unique spatial layout and common semantic patterns. In this paper, we address the food image segmentation task by capturing richer contextual and boundary information. The previous works capture image representation by multi-scale feature fusion, we propose a Windows Attention based Pyramid Network (WAPNet) to adaptively combine local features with global dependencies. Specifically, WAPNet combines Feature Pyramid Network (FPN) with Window Attention to weight multi-scale features, and then extract richer marginal information. In addition, we utilize a multimodality pre-training approach Recipe Learning Module (ReLeM) that explicitly provides segmentation model with rich semantic food knowledge. And by introducing Locality and Windows design, calculating self-attention according to Windows, We demonstrate promising performance on a new proposed food image benchmark for semantic segmentation.

BACKGROUND:Evidence remains scarce regarding the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) and the risk of mortality and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in psoriasis. OBJECTIVE:To explore the potential protective effect of serum 25(OH)D on the risk of mortality and CVD among patients with psoriasis. METHODS:This cohort study included 8,947 psoriasis patients and 178,937 controls identified at baseline in the UK Biobank cohort. Serum 25(OH)D levels were prospectively collected at the time of recruitment. Multivariable-adjusted Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to evaluate the associations between levels of serum 25(OH)D and risk of overall mortality and CVD incidence. RESULTS:Compared to the lowest level of serum 25(OH)D (<25 nmol/L), hazard ratios were 0.54 and 0.78 for overall mortality and incident CVD for the highest level of serum 25(OH)D (≥50 nmol/L) among psoriasis patients, respectively (all P<0.05). Psoriasis patients with serum 25(OH)D ≥50 nmol/L appeared to have no excess risk of mortality and CVD incidence, compared with matched controls. LIMITATIONS:Information on psoriasis subtypes was not available. CONCLUSION:A higher level of serum 25(OH)D was associated with a reduced risk of overall mortality and CVD in individuals with psoriasis.

This paper investigates pervasiveness effect of information technology on the technological progress of logistics in China. Using panel data of 30-regions in China during 2008 to 2020, we propose both static and dynamic panel data models, and find both resource level and spreading rate of information technology have negative influences on technological progress of logistics. The resource level of information technology has a short-term effect on technological progress of logistics, whereas the spreading rate of information technology has a long-term effect. Moreover, the result reveals that the discordant problem of information construction of logistics between resource level and spreading rate cause the negative influence of information technology. © 2022 The Authors.
