In recent years, digital human technology has seen widespread application across various fields, and its emphasis on interactivity holds the promise of addressing the stereotypical and monotonous aspects of traditional cultural communication. It reveals that the dissemination of history and culture still primarily relies on a single communication channel, lacks interaction, and struggles to meet the growing demand for enriched emotional content and intelligent interaction from the audience. This paper focuses on leveraging virtual digital human technology to enhance historical and cultural communication efficacy. It delves into the impact of digital humans on the effectiveness of cultural communication and audience engagement. Experimental results demonstrate that digital humans with enhanced interactivity play a positive role in disseminating history and culture, with diversified interaction fostering greater public absorption of historical and cultural content, thus expanding the potential applications of digital humans. In conclusion, digital human technology is poised to offer a novel and efficient technological means for cultural communication, injecting new possibilities into the realm of cultural communication experiences. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

As the most popular cryptocurrency now, Bitcoin's transaction data is easy to obtain, so de-anonymizing Bitcoin becomes possible. This paper constructs a data set of Bitcoin addresses including 5 categories, analyzes and extracts the transaction features of Bitcoin addresses in more detail based on related work, and proposes two new features of fourth-order transaction moments and sample distribution. New features improve the performance of Bitcoin address classification. The accuracy of the LightGBM model was 0.94 and the F1 score was 0.91. This method can identify unknown types of Bitcoin addresses, which improves the ability of relevant agencies to investigate Bitcoin illegal activities. © 2023 SPIE.

Visual question generation (VQG) task aims to generate high-quality questions based on the input image. Current methods primarily focus on generating questions containing specified content utilizing answers or question types as constraints. However, these constraints make it challenging to control the topic of generated questions (e.g., conversation or test subject topics) for various applications. Thus, it is necessary to utilize topics as constraints to guide question generation. Considering that there are many topics and it is almost impossible for human annotations to cover them, we propose the cross-topic learning VQG (CTL-VQG) task, which aims to generate questions related to unseen topics in cross-topic scenarios. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-guided cross-topic visual question generation (KC-VQG) model to extract unseen topic-related information for question generation. Specifically, an image-topic feature extractor is introduced in our model to extract topic-related intuitive visual features;an image-topic knowledge extractor is used to extract and select the most appropriate topic-related implicit knowledge from large language models for generating questions. Extensive experiments show that our model outperforms baselines and can effectively generate unseen topic-related questions in cross-topic scenarios. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

3D object detection is one of the fundamental perception tasks in autonomous driving. In recent years, perception in the Bird’s Eye View (BEV) has attracted tremendous attention due to its outstanding ability in preserving geometric cues. However, like other supervised learning tasks, BEV-based perception suffers from inadequate labeled training data. In this work, we propose the Vision BEV-MAE, a self-supervised learning approach for BEV perception from camera images. Specifically, we design a feature-level masking strategy to mask the mid-level representations, i.e., the encoded BEV features instead of directly masking input multi-view images, and reconstruct BEV features with a light-weight decoder. Our Vision BEV-MAE is independent of any geometric data such as point clouds, or any additional supervision, and can be easily implemented within any state-of-the-art BEV perception frameworks to improve the performance. We conduct experiments on benchmark dataset to validate our approach. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of technology, a massive amount of data continues to emerge, and there is still a strong demand for data storage. Outsourcing data to cloud service providers has become a common practice. Although cloud storage offers the advantage of location-independent data access and reduces burdens such as hardware and software maintenance, this service still faces some challenges in terms of privacy and data reliability. To address this issue, we present Privacy-preserving Multi-copy Provable data Possession supporting data Reliability (PMPDP-R). Our proposal ensures the integrity, reliability, and freshness of data by designing Timestamp-based Double-layer Merkle Hash Tree (TD-MHT), a novel dynamic structure for multicopy storage. Furthermore, our approach uses random masking techniques to develop unique replica blocks and safeguard privacy. We’ve also ensured data reliability by enabling PMPDP-R to locate damaged data blocks to aid recovery. Forest carbon sinks, a critical component of the global carbon cycle, constitute nearly half of the total terrestrial carbon pool. This study employed correlation analysis and factor effect analysis to quantify the influences of various factors on the volume of Chinese fir stands. A novel modeling framework was developed using the stacking ensemble learning and LSTM (LongShort-TermMemory) models. This framework incorporated diverse base learners, including XGBoost, Adaboost, KNN, and DT, which are intelligently ensemble via GBDT as a meta learner. The model was further optimized by comparing activation functions and optimizers, with ReLU selected as the activation function and Adam as the optimizer. Model accuracy was evaluated using RMSE, MAE, and R2 metrics, significantly enhancing its learning ability and generalization performance. The findings are as follows: (1) Stand stocking showed strong positive correlations with depression, age group, average diameter at breast height (ADBH), average tree height (ATH), slope, and elevation. Conversely, it exhibited significant negative correlations with origin, stand density, and slope position. In investigating Chinese fir growth on slopes, no significant growth differences were observed between downslopes and midslopes;however, both differed significantly from upper slopes. (2) The stacking ensemble learning method constructed here surpassed all existing single models in terms of estimation and assessment indices, demonstrating superior comprehensive performance. (3) Among the LSTM models, Adam-LSTM performed the best (R2=0.844), followed by Sigmoid-LSTM (R2=0.656), while the RMSprop-LSTM model performed the worst (R2=0.618). Combined with artificial intelligence methods, our optimized carbon stock estimation model can help to improve the ability of forest land management and provide a theoretical basis for the scientific management of forest areas. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Multi-exposure image fusion is a cost-effective method to improve the dynamic range of images. For the problems of inadequate detail extraction in bright and dark areas and the over simplicity of existing fusion rules by current deep learning multi-exposure image fusion algorithms, we propose a DenseNet-based framework using adaptive Gabor convolution. Building on the Dense network architecture, we design an adaptive Gabor convolution module, which the parameters of the Gabor filter can be updated along with the network, enhancing the ability of Gabor to extract image features. Additionally, a cross-domain aggregation attention module is proposed, which effectively aggregates and enhances information. Comparing our method with seven advanced methods on the multi-exposure image fusion benchmark dataset, the subjective and objective evaluations outperform the other methods, proving the effectiveness and superiority of our method. The experiments of different exposure images fusion demonstrate the good generalization performance of our method. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

With the increasing number of services and their homogenization, the use of Quality of Service (QoS) for recommendations has become necessary. However, existing QoS prediction solutions have limitations in solving the noise and label imbalance problems of dataset, which greatly limit the improvement of QoS prediction accuracy. In this paper, we propose FSNet that contains a feature distribution smoothing module and an improved W-Huber loss function. The feature distribution smoothing module mitigates the effect of noise problem by fitting potential Gaussian distribution of known features with a supervised feedforward neural network. W-Huber loss function mitigates the impact of label imbalance problem on QoS prediction by reweighting the two components of Huber loss function. We conduct extensive experiments on real large-scale QoS dataset, and the results demonstrate that the proposed FSNet method outperforms existing QoS prediction methods. © 2023 IEEE.

The purpose of domain adaptation is to transfer knowledge learned in the labeled source domain to unlabeled but related target domains without requiring a large number of target domain labels. The latest method of domain adaptation mainly adjusts the distribution of the source and target domains to adapt to the target domain. Despite significant success, when there are significant distribution differences between the source and target domains, the adaptability in the target domain still decreases, which may be due to insufficient exploration of domain specific features leading to domain offset issues. To address this issue, we propose the GSA-NET framework in this article. We designed an adversarial dropout method to improve the generalization performance of the model in the target domain by pushing the decision boundary away from the feature dense region. At the same time, in order to effectively match the distribution of advanced features across domains, we deploy feature adaptation modules before the classification layer, which can significantly reduce domain differences. Our experiments on two cross domain benchmarks, Office Home and Office-31, have shown that the proposed method is significantly superior to existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.
