In the face of the new requirements for talent cultivation in higher education in the digital age, the integration of digital transformation and governance capabilities in higher education is an inevitable trend. Clarifying the conceptual connotation and analytical framework of digital transformation in higher education is an important part of promoting the practice of digital transformation in higher education. On this basis, this article summarizes the current situation of digital transformation in higher education, analyzes its conceptual connotation, and uses TOE theory to design an analysis framework for digital transformation in higher education from the dimensions of technology, organization, and environment. An Efficient Pairing-Free Certificateless Signcryption Scheme Under the Standard Model for VANET

With the rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT), its applications are becoming increasingly essential in actual application. Specifically, the recent surge in electric vehicles has spurred significant advancements in vehicle ad hoc networks (VANET). Therefore, efficient data transmission is a critical challenge in IoT, especially VANET. The certificateless signcryption (CLS) scheme has high authentication efficiency, which has become increasingly important in IoT. However, most existing schemes rely on bilinear pairing, resulting in high calculation costs or failure to achieve their claimed security. Furthermore, the security of some CLS schemes is proved in the random oracle, which limits the usefulness of the CLS scheme. To further address these issues, we propose an efficient and secure CLS scheme in the standard model for VANET, which enhances its practical applicability in VANET. Our construction employs formal security proofs and cost simulations to ensure the scheme's security and low calculation costs, making it suitable for VANET. Finally, the security and efficiency analyses prove that our scheme offers enhanced security features and superior performance compared to existing schemes. © 2014 IEEE.

A Provably Secure Certificateless Signature Scheme With Anonymity for Healthcare IIoT

The industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is changing our way of life and work. As the number of mobile devices connected to IIoT increases, users will face many security challenges such as insecure communication environments. The certificateless signature (CLS) scheme can ensure the integrity and validity of data and provide secure identity authentication for the IIoT, and several pairing-free CLS schemes have been proposed in recent years. However, we find they are vulnerable to the signature forgery attack of malicious key generation centers by safety analysis, which does not realize the security they have claimed. To solve this problem, we show an improved CLS scheme that achieves anonymity and formally proves its security under the hardness of the discrete logarithm problem in the random oracle. Comprehensive performance analysis and comparison show that our scheme has less communication and computation costs with higher security, and our construction is suitable for scenarios with limited resources. Finally, we apply this scheme to construct a mutual identity authentication protocol in the healthcare IIoT environment. 2014 IEEE.

Federated learning is a distributed machine learning paradigm that allows multiple participants to collaborate on training a shared model without revealing their own data. However, federated learning faces challenges such as data heterogeneity, communication overhead, security attacks, etc., which result in low efficiency of data training. To address these issues, this paper proposes a strategy to enhance the training efficiency of federated learning data through hyperparameter optimization and proxy re-encryption. A semi-supervised model of federated learning based on generative adversarial network is designed so that each participant can automatically adjust and optimize their own training parameters according to their own data distribution and environment in order to adapt to the data heterogeneity and dynamics of federated learning. Finally, experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly improve the efficiency of data training and model performance compared with traditional federated learning methods across different datasets and scenarios. Experimental results show that the proposed strategy can achieve the same or even better accuracy than centralized machine learning while safeguarding data privacy and enabling ciphertext conversion. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This paper addresses the distributed load frequency control (LFC) problem for multi-area interconnected power systems (MAIPSs) with thermal and wind power generations, considering both inter-area and intra-area transmission delays and random packet losses induced by communication networks. Firstly, a heterogeneous framework of MAIPSs is constructed, where a networked distributed model predictive control (DMPC) scheme is proposed to compensate for transmission delays and random packet losses. Based on this framework, we then developed a distributed closed-loop LFC system model for heterogeneous MAIPS. Subsequently, a Luenberger observer is constructed to estimate the system state of the local area, and a networked feedback controller is designed to ensure stability with a certain H∞ performance level for the networked MAIPSs. Moreover, stability conditions and controller design criteria are provided by using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory. In recent years, increasing evidence has demonstrated a close association between metabolites and various complex human diseases, providing valuable insights for disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Although deep learning-based approaches have achieved certain success in predicting metabolic disease associations, challenges remain in enriching graph information and effectively integrating metabolic and disease features. To address these issues, this paper proposes a model named DCMDA, which extracts deep features of both metabolites and diseases using Dual-network Cross-learning for Metabolite- Disease Association prediction. DCMDA consists of three parts. The data processing module integrates similarity networks with association networks to construct a heterogeneous network. The feature extraction module extracts features from the metabolite-disease association network based on the non-negative matrix factorization method and from the heterogeneous network using graph autoencoder techniques. The feature fusion module combines the association matrix feature with the heterogeneous network feature through a Cross-Attention mechanism, thereby obtaining deep representations of metabolites and diseases. These features are then used to train the model to predict association scores between metabolites and diseases. Experimental results demonstrate that in 5-fold cross-validation, DCMDA achieves an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of 97.8% and an area under the precision-recall curve (AUPR) of 97.9%, outperforming state-of-the-art prediction methods.

Effect of high silicon content in enhancing the creep properties of a PM near-α Ti–6Al–2Sn–4Zr–2Mo–0.5Y–0.5Si alloy

This study investigates the effect of high Si content on the creep properties and deformation mechanisms of a powder metallurgy (PM) near-α titanium alloy with a composition of Ti–6Al–2Sn–4Zr–2Mo–0.5Y–0.5Si (wt.%) fabricated using high-energy ball milling (HEBM) and thermomechanical powder consolidation (TMC). Under 600 °C/250 MPa, the alloy exhibits a 263 % increase in creep life, a 48 % reduction in steady-state creep rate, and 100 % improvement in creep fracture strain compared with the corresponding titanium alloy containing 0.1 wt% Si under the same fabrication and heat treatment conditions. The superior creep properties are attributed to the stabilized α/β and α/β t interfaces, the uniform dispersion of (Ti, Zr) 6 Si 3 nanoparticles, and the increased Si solubility in both α and β phases, all of which collectively hinder dislocation movement. Additionally, Si addition suppresses the formation of continuous α GB plates, while the presence of higher Si solubility and dispersed nanoscale silicides alleviates stress concentration, delays void and microcrack formation, and ultimately enhances creep fracture strain. These findings underscore the critical role of interface stability, nanoscale silicide dispersion, and enhancing Si solubility in optimizing high-temperature titanium alloys for extreme service environments.

Regarding computer security, the growth of code vulnerability types presents a persistent challenge. These vulnerabilities, which may cause severe consequences, necessitate precise classification for effective mitigation. However, the rapid emergence of new vulnerability types complicates the classification process. Traditional methodologies, which often involve human expertise and the manual labeling or generation of example instances, are not only resource-intensive but also struggle to adapt to the dynamic nature of these vulnerabilities. This paper introduces VulnSense, an innovative method that harnesses the capabilities of Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) to address the vulnerability classification problem. VulnSense learns about unseen vulnerability classes from the descriptions of these unseen classes, while not requiring to see any instances of these unseen classes. Specifically, VulnSense learns from three main resources: (1) seen classes with labeled code instances;(2) descriptions of these seen classes;and (3) descriptions of "unseen"classes which have no labeled instances. Our experiments underscore VulnSense's superiority over existing GZSL methods in classifying instances of unseen classes. Concurrently, it maintains a performance parity with traditional labeled-example based learning methods in classifying instances of seen vulnerabilities. VulnSense demonstrates the potential of using GZSL for vulnerability classification, while also highlighting challenges that inspire future work. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

A Redactable Blockchain-Based Anonymous Announcement Scheme for VANETs

Blockchain serves as a trust layer for data exchange in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) due to its immutability and transparency. However, it can also be abused to spread false and inaccurate information. Additionally, the explosive growth of data in VANETs and the limited storage capacity of edge nodes make it challenging to maintain the entire blockchain. To address these challenges, we propose an anonymous vehicle announcement scheme based on redactable blockchain. Specifically, we propose a novel ephemeral trapdoor revocable chameleon hash scheme (ETRCH) that enables decentralized management and enforced revocation of redaction privileges. ETRCH deploys multiple regulators, each capable of creating multiple ephemeral trapdoors. These regulators enable k-out-of-n edge nodes associated with the same ephemeral trapdoor to collaboratively rewrite blockchain data, thereby addressing storage limitations. In addition, k-out-of-n regulators can cooperate to update the ephemeral trapdoor and revoke the redaction privileges of any malicious regulator discovered to be abusing their privileges. To facilitate the threshold authentication of announcement messages, we construct a redactable threshold ring signature scheme (RTRS) based on ETRCH, enabling anonymous signing of announcements in VANETs. Additionally, if a regulator detects a false or misleading message, the content can be promptly rewritten. Finally, we conducted rigorous security analysis and comprehensive experiments to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme. The results demonstrate that compared to VANETs systems based on immutable blockchains, our scheme is both secure and efficient. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

GBFRS: Robust Fuzzy Rough Sets via Granular-ball Computing

Fuzzy rough set theory is effective for processing datasets with complex attributes, supported by a solid mathematical foundation and closely linked to kernel methods in machine learning. Attribute reduction algorithms and classifiers based on fuzzy rough set theory exhibit promising performance in the analysis of high-dimensional multivariate complex data. However, most existing models operate at the finest granularity, rendering them inefficient and sensitive to noise, especially for high-dimensional big data. Thus, enhancing the robustness of fuzzy rough set models is crucial for effective feature selection. Muiti-garanularty granular-ball computing, a recent development, uses granular-balls of different sizes to adaptively represent and cover the sample space, performing learning based on these granular-balls. This paper proposes integrating multi-granularity granular-ball computing into fuzzy rough set theory, using granular-balls to replace sample points. The coarse-grained characteristics of granular-balls make the model more robust. Additionally, we propose a new method for generating granular-balls, scalable to the entire supervised method based on granular-ball computing. A forward search algorithm is used to select feature sequences by defining the correlation between features and categories through dependence functions. Experiments demonstrate the proposed model’s effectiveness and superiority over baseline methods.
