Complementary knowledge Compilation Using the Hyper Extension Rule

We introduce the concept of Complementary formula(COMF), which is a new and non-equivalent way for knowledge compilation(KC). Based on the Hyper extension rule(HER) which is an expansion of Extension rule(ER), we design a compilation algorithm which can formula compile each Conjunctive normal form(CNF)formula to complementary Fully complementary connected diagram(c-FCCD), named as C2C(CNF formula to cFCCD). Theoretically, c-FCCD is a kind of complementary formulae of the input formulae and can support all queries and partial transformations in KC map. Experimentally,C2C is competitive with the EPCCL compilers KCER,C2E, UKCHER, DKCHER and IKCHER.

Model-based diagnosis of incomplete discrete-event system with rough set theory

Fault diagnosis of discrete-event system(DES) is important in the preventing of harmful events in the system. In an ideal situation, the system to be diagnosed is assumed to be complete; however, this assumption is rather restrictive. In this paper, a novel approach, which uses rough set theory as a knowledge extraction tool to deal with diagnosis problems of an incomplete model, is investigated. DESs are presented as information tables and decision tables. Based on the incomplete model and observations, an algorithm called Optimizing Incomplete Model is proposed in this paper in order to obtain the repaired model. Furthermore, a necessary and sufficient condition for a system to be diagnosable is given. In ensuring the diagnosability of a system, we also propose an algorithm to minimize the observable events and reduce the cost of sensor selection.

Autonomous Domain Correlation-Based Cross-domain Network View Caching Method for SDN Distributed Controller

Software-defined networks(SDN) maintain a global view of the network, thus improving the intelligence of forwarding decisions. With the expansion of the network scale, distributed controllers are used in a variety of large-scale networks in which subnetworks managed by controller instance are called autonomous domains. We analyze statistic frequency of communication across the autonomous domain. We calculate the autonomous domain correlations for controller instances using acquired statistical information. We cache network views to highly correlated controller instances. Distributed controllers are capable of considering both the average response time and overall storage. An experiment shows that our method can fully take advantage of these two performance indicators.

knowledge Compilation Methods Based on the Clausal Relevance and Extension Rule

We introduce the concepts of Relevancematrix(RM) and Relevance-set(RS). And we construct the association between RM and the knowledge compilation(KC) methods based on Extension rule(ER). Based on the basic parameters of RS and the relationship between RM and the KC methods based on ER, we design two efficient heuristics, called M2S(maximum sum of elements in RS and sum of literals in RS) and MNE(minimum number of maximum terms not extended by RS). Both of above heuristics intend to find the minimum set of maximum terms which cannot be extended by RS. Furthermore,we apply M2S and MNE on KCER. M2S KCER(KCER with M2S) and MNE KCER(KCER with MNE) are designed and implemented based on M2S and MNE, respectively. Experimentally, for the SAT instances with random lengths of clauses, M2S KCER and MNE KCER can improve the efficiency and quality of KCER sharply, and they are two best KC algorithms of EPCCL(each pair contains complementary literal) theory in all KC algorithms based on KCER.

Prediction-based event-triggered identification of quantized input FIR systems with quantized output observations

This paper addresses the identification of finite impulse response(FIR) systems with both quantized and event-triggered observations. An event-triggered communication scheme for the binary-valued output quantization is introduced to save communication resources. Combining the empirical-measure-based identification technique and the weighted least-squares optimization, an algorithm is proposed to estimate the unknown parameter by full use of the received data and the not-triggered condition. Under quantized inputs, it is shown that the estimate can strongly converge to the real values and the estimator is asymptotically efficient in terms of the Cram′er-Rao lower bound. Further, the limit of the average communication rate is derived and the tradeoff between this limit and the estimation performance is discussed. Moreover, the case of multi-threshold quantized observations is considered. Numerical examples are included to illustrate the obtained main results.

Locomotor intent classification has become a research hotspot due to its importance to the development of assistive robotics and wearable *** work have achieved impressive performance in classifying steady locomotion ***,it remains challenging for these methods to attain high accuracy when facing transitions between steady locomotion *** to the similarities between the information of the transitions and their adjacent steady ***,most of these methods rely solely on data and overlook the objective laws between physical activities,resulting in lower accuracy,particularly when encountering complex locomotion modes such as *** address the existing deficiencies,we propose the locomotion rule embedding long short-term memory(LSTM)network with Attention(LREAL)for human locomotor intent classification,with a particular focus on transitions,using data from fewer sensors(two inertial measurement units and four goniometers).The LREAL network consists of two levels:One responsible for distinguishing between steady states and transitions,and the other for the accurate identification of locomotor *** classifier in these levels is composed of multiple-LSTM layers and an attention *** introduce real-world motion rules and apply constraints to the network,a prior knowledge was added to the network via a rule-modulating *** method was tested on the ENABL3S dataset,which contains continuous locomotion date for seven steady and twelve transitions *** results showed that the LREAL network could recognize locomotor intents with an average accuracy of 99.03%and 96.52%for the steady and transitions states,*** is worth noting that the LREAL network accuracy for transition-state recognition improved by 0.18%compared to other state-of-the-art network,while using data from fewer sensors.

The registration of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical images is critical in multimodal remote sensing image fusion. In recent years, deep learning-based registration networks have been continuously introduced. However, owing to the significant disparities in viewing angles and radiometric properties between SAR and optical images, current deep learning methods struggle to fully exploit the physical properties of radar imaging. In addition, many existing matching networks typically perform only a forward pass, resulting in suboptimal model performance. This article proposes a cyclic iterative registration SAR mechanism network (termed as CIRSM-Net) for the registration of SAR and optical images. First, we design a learning module that integrates the radar equation with a microwave scattering model to capture deep features from SAR images, and design a corresponding scattering feature loss to aid in better generalization across various radar images. Then, to explore optimization methods for matching networks, this study proposes a strategy of multiple iterative optimizations within the matching network. Specifically, it integrates speeding-up radiation-variation insensitive feature transform (RIFT2) supervision in the backend matching network and iteratively optimizes the final output. Finally, during the iteration process, we propose an innovative matching loss function that combines the rotation invariance supervision of RIFT2 with iterative optimization techniques to enhance feature matching accuracy. Experimental results on both public and our own datasets additionally confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach, demonstrating its significant potential for practical applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Event Argument Extraction with Two-Dimensional Enhanced Fusion Mechanism

Addressing the lack of interaction between trigger and arguments, and the lack of interaction within channels in existing studies of event argument extraction, this paper proposes a two-dimensional enhanced fusion mechanism for event argument extraction (W2-ARG) that incorporates a 2D enhanced fusion method. It inserts identifiers on both sides of a trigger word in a sentence, which encodes information about the event type. In the learning process, it is effective to enhance the interaction between trigger and argument, and encode the trigger separately to highlight its information in the sentence. The event argument extraction is implemented as a two-dimensional representation of label prediction. It has the advantage to capture semantic interactions of words at different distances through dilated convolution. Subsequently, a channel attention module is applied to enhance the interactions within the channel to strengthen the information transfer within the channel. Finally, the Laplace operator is utilized to highlight the positional features of event arguments in the semantic space to improve the performance. The proposed model is experimented on the ACE05-EN and ERE-EN datasets. In-situ synthesized SiC/TiC/SiTiOC hybrid nanofiber mats for broad-range temperature microwave absorption

Efficient, temperature-insensitive electromagnetic attenuation materials are critical for high microwave absorption at high temperatures. This study presents SiC/TiC/SiTiOC hybrid nanofiber mats constructed using an in-situ synthesis method;these mats incorporate SiC/TiC as the microwave loss unit and SiTiOC as the antioxidant unit, offering an innovative approach to high-temperature microwave absorption. The introduction of high-conductivity TiC not only optimizes the dielectric constant and impedance matching of the material but also enhances its thermal cycling stability. This design ensures steady electromagnetic attenuation, enabling the hybrid nanofiber mats to maintain robust absorption performance in the X-band, even at high temperatures. At 873 K, the material demonstrates an effective absorption bandwidth of 3.6 GHz and a minimum reflection loss of-45.55 dB. Compared to single-system absorbers, such as SiC/C nanofiber materials, with a single system, the multicomponent SiC/TiC/SiTiOC hybrid nanofiber mats deliver reliable absorption performance in the temperature range of 293–873 K. This study confirms that highly conductive titanium-based ceramic materials used for dielectric property regulation effectively address the challenges of poor temperature stability and limited reusability in high-temperature carbon-ceramic absorbing materials, providing valuable insights and guidance for designing efficient microwave absorbers that can operate across a wide temperature range.
