Electrochemical dissolution, reduction, and nucleation mechanisms of molybdenum in NaCl-KCl molten salt systems

This study investigates the anodic dissolution and electrochemical behavior of molybdenum in a NaCl-KCl molten salt system at 1023 K. The anodic dissolution process was systematically analyzed, revealing a sequential oxidation pathway of molybdenum into high-valence ions (Mo6+, Mo5+, Mo4+) under varying electrolysis potentials. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) demonstrated that the dissolution is governed by both charge transfer and diffusion mechanisms, with reduced impedance at higher potentials facilitating molybdenum dissolution. The reduction behavior of dissolved molybdenum ions was further explored using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV), confirming a multi-step reduction process controlled by diffusion and high reversibility. Nucleation studies using chronoamperometry established that molybdenum deposition follows an instantaneous nucleation mechanism. Morphological analysis of cathodic deposits revealed that current density significantly influences particle size, transitioning from nano-sized spherical particles to larger equiaxed crystals with increasing current density. These findings provide a comprehensive understanding of molybdenum's electrochemical properties in molten salts, offering valuable insights for optimizing electrolysis processes and advancing molybdenum-based material production. © 2025

Cross-modal retrieval is crucial in understanding latent correspondences across modalities. However, existing methods implicitly assume well-matched training data, which is impractical as real-world data inevitably involves imperfect alignments, i.e., noisy correspondences. Although some works explore similarity-based strategies to address such noise, they suffer from sub-optimal similarity predictions influenced by modality-exclusive information (MEI), e.g., background noise in images and abstract definitions in texts. This issue arises as MEI is not shared across modalities, thus aligning it in training can markedly mislead similarity predictions. Moreover, although intuitive, directly applying previous cross-modal disentanglement methods suffers from limited noise tolerance and disentanglement efficacy. Inspired by the robustness of information bottlenecks against noise, we introduce DisNCL, a novel information-theoretic framework for feature Disentanglement in Noisy Correspondence Learning, to adaptively balance the extraction of modality-invariant information (MII) and MEI with certifiable optimal cross-modal disentanglement efficacy. DisNCL then enhances similarity predictions in modality-invariant subspace, thereby greatly boosting similarity-based alleviation strategy for noisy correspondences. Furthermore, DisNCL introduces soft matching targets to model noisy many-to-many relationships inherent in multi-modal inputs for noise-robust and accurate cross-modal alignment. Extensive experiments confirm DisNCL’s efficacy by 2% average recall improvement. Mutual information estimation and visualization results show that DisNCL learns meaningful MII/MEI subspaces, validating our theoretical analyses. © 1992-2012 IEEE.

ETFIDS: An Entropy-Driven, Time-Frequency Analysis Framework for In-Vehicle CAN Signal Intrusion Detection

In recent years, cyberattacks against automobiles have exposed significant security threats to in-vehicle networks. The vulnerability of communication signals to malicious interference and manipulation can lead to serious system failures or abnormal behavior. The existing in-vehicle network intrusion detection methods do not fully exploit the time-frequency characteristics of Controller Area Network (CAN) signals. This limitation reduces their effectiveness in capturing subtle changes and signal complexity. Based on the above motivation, from the perspective of signal perception, we propose an entropy-driven, time-frequency analysis framework for in-vehicle network intrusion detection. The framework integrates a signal sampler, a frequency-domain detector, and a time-domain detector. The signal sampler, as the system's front-end module, extracts real-time physical signal data streams from CAN messages. The frequency-domain detector identifies frequency components, detecting high-frequency disturbances and cyclic variations. Meanwhile, the time-domain detector captures instantaneous changes and sudden anomalies. It analyzes signal complexity and anomalies through both stream and block detection. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs well under various attack scenarios, offering superior detection and real-time performance. It effectively senses multiple signal anomalies, providing a robust intrusion detection solution for modern in-vehicle networks. © 2025 IEEE.

Aspect Sentiment Quad Prediction (ASQP) aims to extract all sentiment elements in quads for a given review to explain the reason for the sentiment. Previous table-filling based methods have achieved promising results by modeling word-pair relations. However, these methods decompose the ASQP task into several subtasks without considering the association between sentiment elements. Most importantly, they fail to tackle the situation where a sentence contains multiple implicit expressions. To address these limitations, we propose a simple yet effective Unified Grid Tagging Scheme (UGTS) to extract sentiment quadruplets in one shot, with two additional special tokens from pre-trained models to represent potential implicit aspect and opinion terms. Based on this, we first introduce the adaptive graph diffusion convolution network to construct the direct connection between explicit and implicit sentiment elements from syntactic and semantic views. Next, we utilize conditional layer normalization to refine the mutual indication effect between words for matching valid aspect-opinion pairs. Finally, we employ the triaffine mechanism to integrate heterogeneous word-pair relations to capture higher-order interactions between sentiment elements. Experimental results on four benchmark datasets show the effectiveness and robustness of our model, which achieves state-of-the-art performance. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.

An Area Optimization Approach for Large-Scale RM-TB Dual Logic Circuits Based on a Multitasking Optimization Algorithm

Logic synthesis is a crucial step in integrated circuit design, and area optimization is an indispensable part of this process. However, the area optimization problem for large-scale Fixed Polarity Reed-Muller (FPRM) circuits is an NP-hard problem. To address this problem, we divide Boolean circuits into small-scale circuits based on the idea of divide-and-conquer using the proposed grouping decomposition mechanism. Each small-scale Boolean circuit is transformed into an FPRM circuit by a polarity transformation algorithm. To ensure the circuit’s functionality remains unaffected, we integrate FPRM circuits into an FPRM and Boolean (RM-TB) dual logic circuit based on the proposed gate-level integration. However, the area optimization problem of RM-TB dual logic circuits is a multi-task, high-dimensional, and multi-extremal combinatorial optimization problem. Therefore, we propose a Multipopulation Multitasking Optimization Algorithm (MMuOA) that integrates self-evolution with a multitasking equilibrium optimizer and cross-task evolution through knowledge sharing and transfer. This forms a dynamic optimization framework for simultaneously searching for the optimal polarity corresponding to the minimal area of RM-TB dual logic circuits. Moreover, we propose an Area Optimization Approach (AOA) for an RM-TB dual logic circuit with the minimum area using the MMuOA. Experimental results based on the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina (MCNC) Benchmark test circuits demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the AOA compared to the state-of-the-art area optimization approach. © 1968-2012 IEEE.

Joint Double Auction-Based Channel Selection in Wireless Monitoring Networks

In wireless networks, utilizing sniffers for fault analysis, traffic traceback, and resource optimization is a crucial task. However, existing centralized algorithms cannot be applied to high-density wireless networks. Therefore, distributed optimization of channel selection to maximize the monitoring rate of sensors in Wireless Monitoring Networks (WMNs) is a challenge. This paper proposes a joint double auction-based distributed channel selection algorithm (J2A-CS) to maximize overall quality of monitoring (QoM). First, sniffers are redundantly deployed in WMNs, and an initial channel allocation strategy is formulated. Subsequently, sniffers collectively act as buyers and sellers at different stages. Finally, buyers bid asynchronously, and sellers settle synchronously to maximize the seller's marginal revenue and update the channel selection scheme. As a distributed channel selection algorithm, J2A-CS addresses the highest overall QoM issue in WMNs, demonstrating high scalability and fault tolerance. Simulation results show that J2A-CS significantly improves QoM compared to existing distributed algorithms and outperforms centralized algorithms in high-density scenarios. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

The time-varying periodic variations in Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)stations affect the reliable time series analysis and appropriate geophysical *** this study,we apply the singular spectrum analysis(SSA)method to characterize and interpret the periodic patterns of GNSS deformations in China using multiple geodetic *** include 23-year observations from the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC),displacements inferred from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment(GRACE),and loadings derived from Geophysical models(GM).The results reveal that all CMONOC time series exhibit seasonal signals characterized by amplitude and phase modulations,and the SSA method outperforms the traditional least squares fitting(LSF)method in extracting and interpreting the time-varying seasonal signals from the original time *** decrease in the root mean square(RMS)correlates well with the annual cycle variance estimated by the SSA method,and the average reduction in noise amplitudes is nearly twice as much for SSA filtered results compared with those from the LSF *** SSA analysis,the time-varying seasonal signals for all the selected stations can be identified in the reconstructed components corresponding to the first ten ***,both RMS reduction and correlation analysis imply the advantages of GRACE solutions in explaining the GNSS periodic variations,and the geophysical effects can account for 71%of the GNSS annual amplitudes,and the average RMS reduction is 15%.The SSA method has proved to be useful for investigating the GNSS timevarying seasonal *** could be applicable as an auxiliary tool in the improvement of nonlinear variations investigations.

ApriDS: An evidence linkage network construction model for judgment documents

Evidence serves as the basis for determining facts in the judicial trial process, and exploring the correlation between evidence has become an essential task. However, there is uncertainty and unreliability of evidence. In this paper, we propose an ApriDS model that can mine correlations between evidence and construct evidence linkage networks. Specifically, we use the association rule algorithm to mining for the correlations between evidence in order to initially construct an evidence linkage network. Moreover, we also combine the imprecise reasoning theory to alleviate unreliability among evidence. Finally, combining the above effectively mitigates uncertainty and unreliability in the evidence linkage network. We conduct extensive experiments and present analyses on five case datasets, including marriages, thefts, homicides, contract disputes and unlawful detention. Compared to the baseline model, our method’s accuracy improves by 12.75%, 14.16%, 14.80%, 21.64% and 26.15% on the five datasets, respectively. © The Author(s) 2025.

Adaptive Intention Learning for Session-Based Recommendation

In recent years, session-based recommender systems (SRSs) have emerged as a significant research focus within the recommendation field. Capturing user intentions to infer user interest accordingly has proven to be effective in enhancing the accuracy of SRSs. However, existing techniques assume that all sessions have the same number of intentions or that the items in one category belonging to the same session reflect the same intention. In real applications, such as e-commerce, sessions may have different numbers of intentions, and the same type of items in a session may correspond to different intentions. As a result, existing techniques cannot guarantee high-quality user interest prediction. In this article, we propose a novel Adaptive Intention Learning Network (AILN) to capture an adaptive number of intentions for each session, thereby enhancing the accuracy of user interest inference. Specifically, we design an intention evaluation network (IEN) to evaluate whether a subsequence of a session corresponds to a valid intention, and an intention generation network (IGN) to learn the representation of a valid intention. By checking each subsequence of a session, IEN and IGN enable the incremental learning of a session-specific intention hierarchy (IH) to store valid intentions of the session. To reduce the cost of building the IH, we propose a pruning strategy that exploits the intention validity to avoid unnecessary evaluation. The representative intentions are selected from IH and input into a designed interest predictor to infer the user interest. Skeleton-based action recognition has long been a fundamental and intriguing problem in machine intelligence. This task is challenging due to pose occlusion and rapid motion, which typically results in incomplete or noisy skeleton data. State-of-the-art methods tend to learn human motion directly from these corrupted skeletons as if they were reliable. Unfortunately, this might lead to unsatisfactory results when key regions of the skeleton are occluded or disturbed. To tackle the problem, we propose a novel framework that integrates auxiliary tasks into a motion modeling network. These auxiliary tasks corrupt partial human skeletons with masking or noise and then force the network to recover the corrupted data, explicitly facilitating robust feature representation learning. We further propose supervising the auxiliary tasks with mutual information losses, mathematically ensuring feature consistency and spatial alignment between the recovered and original skeleton data. Empirically, our approach sets the new state-of-the-art performance on three benchmark datasets.
