The maximum open-circuit voltage of a solar cell can be evaluated in terms of its ability to emit light. We herein verify the reciprocity relation between the electroluminescence spectrum and subband-gap quantum efficiency spectrum for several photovoltaic technologies at different stages of commercial development, including inorganic, organic, and a type of methyl-ammonium lead- halide CH3NH3PbI3−xClx perovskite solar cells. Based on the detailed balance theory and reciprocity relations between light emission and light absorption, voltage losses at open circuit are quantified and assigned to specific mechanisms, namely, absorption edge broadening and nonradiative recombination. The voltage loss due to nonradiative recombination is low for inorganic solar cells (0.04–0.21 V), while for organic solar cell devices it is larger but surprisingly uniform, with values of 0.34–0.44 V for a range of material combinations. We show that, in CH3NH3PbI3−xClx perovskite solar cells that exhibit hysteresis, the loss to nonradiative recombination varies substantially with voltage scan conditions. We then show that for different solar cell technologies there is a roughly linear relation between the power conversion efficiency and the voltage loss due to nonradiative recombination.

基于现有联机分析处理系统(online analytical processing,OLAP)的不足和图形处理器(graphics processing unit,GPU)的发展,研制了GOOLAP(GPU oriented OLAP)系统.GOOLAP系统利用GPU的高并行性和高存储带宽,把计算密集型运算转移到GPU端执行,加运OLAP处理性能.GOOLAP系统主要由3部分组成：1)表示层,以Excel作为用户输入前端并展示结果,加强系统的易用性;2)OLAP服务器层,负责把多维表达式(multi-dimensional expression,MDX)语句解析成SQL语句并根据自定义启发式规则向GPU传递适合计算的SQL语句,最后再将GPU返回结果与CPU原始结果合并;3)存储层,提供GPU显存和关系数据库两种存储结构.

Water scarcity is a global challenge in many emerging economies, including China. China is one of the most extensive freshwater users and has set water efficiency improvement goals for 2030 at the prefecture level. However, no systematic water use and savings comparison exists across prefectures and sectors. Here, we used datasets of water withdrawal for 10,608 industrial and 1715 agricultural sub-sectors for 343 prefectures, and explored the opportunities to reduce water use. Results show that 10% of the least water-efficient industrial sub-sectors represent a disproportionate 46% water use. 18.9 km³ (±3.2%) water saving in industry and 50.3 km³ (±2.3%) in agriculture could be achieved, equivalent to Russia’s annual demand. A minority of sectors, including cloth(ing)- and chemical-manufacturing, rice-, vegetable- and fruit-cultivation, could contribute the most to water savings. Our study is essential for identifying water use and efficiency information for individual prefectures and sectors. © The Author(s) 2025.

Link prediction is essential to both research areas and practical applications. In order to make full use of information of the network, we proposed a new method to predict links in the social network. Firstly, we extracted topological information and attributes of nodes in the social network. Secondly, we integrated them into feature vectors. Finally, we used XGB classifier to predict links using feature vectors. Through expanding information source, experiments on a co-authorship network suggest that our method can improve the accuracy of link prediction significantly.

A novel coronavirus emerged in late 2019,named as the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)by the World Health Organization(WHO).This study was originally conducted in January 2020 to estimate the potential risk and geographic range of COVID-19 spread at the early stage of the transmission.A series of connectivity and risk analyses based on domestic and international travel networks were conducted using historical aggregated mobile phone data and air passenger itinerary *** found that the cordon sanitaire of the primary city was likely to have occurred during the latter stages of peak population numbers leaving the city,with travellers departing into neighbouring cities and other megacities in *** estimated that there were 59,912 international air passengers,of which 834(95%uncertainty interval:478–1,349)had COVID-19 infection,with a strong correlation seen between the predicted risks of importation and the number of imported cases *** the limited understanding of emerging infectious diseases in the very early stages of outbreaks,our approaches and findings in assessing travel patterns and risk of transmission can help guide public health preparedness and intervention design for new COVID-19 waves caused by variants of concern and future pandemics to effectively limit transmission beyond its initial extent.

The persistence of the global climate system is critical for assuring the sustainability of the natural ecosystem and the further development of the prosperity of socio-economics. In this paper, we develop a framework and analyze the time persistence of the yearly networks of climate and carbon flux, based on cross-correlations between sites, using daily data from China (East Asia), the contiguous United States (North America), and the Europe land region during 2000-2019. There are many studies on time persistence of single nodes, e.g., climate variables at a given location, however persistence at a network level has been rarely discussed. Here we develop a framework to study time persistence of network and we apply it to climate and carbon flux. Our framework for determining the persistence is based on analyzing the similarity between the network structures, i.e., the links of climate and carbon flux in different years of systems using the Jaccard index. Our Jaccard results reveal that the similarity of climate and carbon flux networks in different years are within the range of 0.51 ± 0.09 (p − value Copyright © 2024, The Authors. The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer (CHASE), dubbed "Xihe" - Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration (CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph (HIS) is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 Å and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 Å with 0.024 Å pixel spectral resolution and 1 minute temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 Å with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 Å. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. In this paper, we present an overview of the CHASE mission including the scientific objectives, HIS instrument overview, data calibration flow, and first results of on-orbit observations.
