With the high mortality rate for the cases of malignant tumors, the discovery and early treatment of cancer is critical to improving the 5-year survival rate of cancer. The biggest challenge in control and prevention is how to detect tumors as early as possible, so that the most effective means can be used for treatment. With the help of the WOS database, researchers found that liquid biopsy, genetic material/protein expression and computer imaging play an important role in cancer detection. Through analysis of the history and current status of cancer detection technology development, this paper also aims to provide guidance for the clinical practice of current cancer screening and provide inspiration for future technological development. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.

A Part-of-speech Tagging Model Employing Word Clustering and Syntactic Parsing

Part-Of-Speech tagging is a basic task in the field of natural language processing. This paper builds a POS tagger based on improved Hidden Markov model,by employing word clustering and syntactic parsing ***, In order to overcome the defects of the classical HMM, Markov family model(MFM), a new statistical model was introduced. Secondly, to solve the problem of data sparseness, we propose a bottom-to-up hierarchical word clustering algorithm. Then we combine syntactic parsing with part-of-speech tagging. The Part-ofSpeech tagging experiments show that the improved PartOf-Speech tagging model has higher performance than Hidden Markov models(HMMs) under the same testing conditions, the precision is enhanced from 94.642% to97.235%.

In West Africa, particularly in Senegalese waters, small tuna species like Atlantic bonito play a central role in marine ecosystems and contribute to food security and livelihoods. However, climate change, illegal fishing, and overfishing have put most of these stocks under pressure, necessitating assessment studies to gauge their exploitation. The research focused on an assessment of the biological parameters of Atlantic bonito (Sarda sarda) and its exploitation conditions in the Senegalese littoral zone. We made a significant effort to collect and analyze approximately 44,700 specimens to gain insights into this species’ key life history and current population state in this western African region. The outcomes, including growth factors such as a = 0.0062 per year, b = 3.2346, and L_∞ = 73.01 cm, provided vital details required by the Length-Based Spawning Potential Ratio model to predict stock level. Moreover, the findings revealed that the size at 50 % and 95 % maturity was 40.75 cm and 56.05 cm, respectively, with ages ranging from 1.5 to 4.6 years, or roughly five years. Meanwhile, the assessment model evaluated the present spawning potential ratio at 0.43, slightly over 40 percent but significantly greater than 20 %, the basic reference points. These results point out that the Sarda sarda stock along the Senegalese fishing coastline is in a sound state, highlighting the possibility of providing significant scientific guidance to inform temporary management measures and ensure its long-term sustainability. © 2025 The Authors

Study on the Characteristics of Cross-Domain knowledge Diffusion from Science to Policy: Evidence from Overton data

The cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy is a prevalent phenomenon that demands academic attention. To investigate the characteristics of cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy, this study suggests using the citation of policies to scientific articles as a basis for quantifying the diffusion strength, breadth, and speed. The study reveals that the strength and breadth of cross-domain knowledge diffusion from scientific papers to policies conform to a power-law distribution, while the speed follows a logarithmic normal distribution. Moreover, the papers with the highest diffusion strength, breadth, and fastest diffusion speed are predominantly from world-renowned universities, scholars, and top journals. The papers with the highest diffusion strength and breadth are mostly from social sciences, especially economics, those with the fastest diffusion speed are mainly from medical and life sciences, followed by social sciences. The findings indicate that cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy follows the Matthew effect, whereby individuals or institutions with high academic achievements are more likely to achieve successful cross-domain knowledge diffusion. The low-altitude economy (LAE), as a new economic paradigm, plays an indispensable role in cargo transportation, healthcare, infrastructure inspection, and especially post-disaster communication. Specifically, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as one of the core technologies of the LAE, can be deployed to provide communication coverage, facilitate data collection, and relay data for trapped users, thereby significantly enhancing the efficiency of post-disaster response efforts. However, conventional UAV self-organizing networks exhibit low reliability in long-range cases due to their limited onboard energy and transmit ability. Therefore, in this paper, we design an efficient and robust UAV-swarm enabled collaborative self-organizing network to facilitate post-disaster communications. Specifically, a ground device transmits data to UAV swarms, which then use collaborative beamforming (CB) technique to form virtual antenna arrays and relay the data to a remote access point (AP) efficiently. Then, we formulate a rescue-oriented post-disaster transmission rate maximization optimization problem (RPTRMOP), aimed at maximizing the transmission rate of the whole network. Given the challenges of solving the formulated RPTRMOP by using traditional algorithms, we propose a two-stage optimization approach to address it. In the first stage, the optimal traffic routing and the theoretical upper bound on the transmission rate of the network are derived. In the second stage, we transform the formulated RPTRMOP into a variant named V-RPTRMOP based on the obtained optimal traffic routing, aimed at rendering the actual transmission rate closely approaches its theoretical upper bound by optimizing the excitation current weight and the placement of each participating UAV via a diffusion model-enabled particle swarm optimization (DM-PSO) algorithm. Implementing runtime integrity measurement in an acceptable way is a big challenge. We tackle this challenge by developing a framework called Patos. This paper discusses the design and implementation concepts of our operating system mechanisms for runtime process integrity measurement, which is an important part of the Patos framework and is named Patos-RIP. Patos-RIP is developed into the mainstream Linux operating system and utilizes TPM as hardware support for tamper-resistance. From the beginning a process is created to the moment the process dies, Patos-RIP conducts integrity measurement at appropriate points of time when the process runs, so as to ensure that the integrity of a process is not compromised during its whole lifetime. This way, Patos-RIP can improve trustworthiness of processes by effectively detecting runtime tampering attacks on processes' integrity. ©2009 IEEE.
