A data center is a cluster of servers, which is typically an organic collection of tens of thousands of servers. The sheer number of servers determines how well its performance is related to how it is interconnected. Just like the topology of Ethernet determines its network capacity and communication characteristics, the network structure of the data center has a great impact on its performance and capacity. The research object ExCCC-DCN in this paper has excellent node capacity, and its construction cost and operating energy consumption are relatively low, which is very suitable for deploying large-scale data centers. However, ExCCC-DCN is deployed on a wired link, and a large number of wired links can make maintenance and upgrade of the data center more difficult. Therefore, this paper utilizes the advantages of high transmission rate, strong anti-interference and high security of 60 GHz millimeter wave to wirelessly transform ExCCC-DCN, making it more flexible in the case of maintaining communication efficiency. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2020.

In recent years, group communication has become more and more popular. In the current data center network, multicast plays an extremely important role in group communication. Traditional data center network is designed based on wires. Researchers have proposed Dcell, Bcube and other data center topologies successively. However, in the traditional data center network, the wired topology structure has the disadvantages of high overhead, complex deployment, high maintenance cost, slow heat dissipation and so on. Moreover, the existing wireless data center Flyways structure and Graphite structure have the problems of low connectivity and poor scalability. So this paper proposes and designs a new data center network topology Comb structure (Comb model is a multi-layer cellular structure model, which is a multi-layer structure composed of single-layer honeycomb-like structure interlaced with each other). The structure can effectively improve the connectivity of the data center, shorten the routing path, reduce the probability of node failure in the network, and ensure the smooth network. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2020.

In update intensive main memory database applications, huge volume of log records is generated, to maintain the ACID properties of the database system, the log records should be persistent efficiently. Delegating logging of one main memory database to another main memory database is proposed. The scheme is elaborated in detail in terms of architecture, logging & safeness levels, checkpointing, and recovery. Strict durability and relax durability are provided. When some form of non-volatile memory is used to temporarily holding log records, not only logging efficiency is improved, but also the scheme could guarantee full ACID of the system. We also propose using parallel logging to speedup log persistence by writing logs to multiple disks in parallel. Since interconnection network techniques progress by leaps and bounds, the scheme eliminates the concern about whether the system's overall performance may be slowed down by bandwidth and latency limitations. Experiment results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposal.

Scientific Value Weights more than Being Open or Toll Access:An analysis of the OA advantage in Nature and Science

Purpose:We attempt to find out whether OA or TA really affects the dissemination of scientific ***/methodology/approach:We design the indicators,hot-degree,and R-index to indicate a topic OA or TA ***,according to the OA classification of the Web of Science(WoS),we collect data from the WoS by downloading OA and TA articles,letters,and reviews published in Nature and Science during 2010–*** papers are divided into three broad disciplines,namely biomedicine,physics,and ***,taking a discipline in a journal and using the classical Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA)to cluster 100 topics of OA and TA papers respectively,we apply the Pearson correlation coefficient to match the topics of OA and TA,and calculate the hot-degree and R-index of every OA-TA topic ***,characteristics of the discipline can be *** qualitative comparison,we choose some high-quality papers which belong to Nature remarkable papers or Science breakthroughs,and analyze the relations between OA/TA and citation ***:The result shows that OA hot-degree in biomedicine is significantly greater than that of TA,but significantly less than that of TA in *** on the R-index,it is found that OA advantages exist in biomedicine and TA advantages do in ***,the dissemination of average scientific discoveries in all fields is not necessarily affected by OA or ***,OA promotes the spread of important scientific discoveries in high-quality *** limitations:We lost some citations by ignoring other open sources such as arXiv and *** limitation came from that Nature employs some strong measures for access-promoting subscription-based articles,on which the boundary between OA and TA became *** implications:It is useful to select hot topics in a set of publications by the hotdegree *** finding comprehensively reflects the differences of OA and TA in different disciplines,which is a u

An ontology automation construction scheme for Chinese e-government thesaurus optimizing

To optimize the term hierarchy in the manual e-government thesaurus, we combine the mainstream knowledge organization technology to form a complete set of ontology automation construction scheme. We build an e-government knowledge base by using subject words in the Comprehensive E-government Thesaurus as the term set and encyclopedia text as the corpus. The specific work includes the extraction of semantic features from the bag-of-words model, determination of the number of clusters by linear and nonlinear dimensionality reduction, division of terms by spectral clustering, social network analysis to determine the class label, and storing knowledge ontology via OWL. The recall rate of term hierarchy in the ontology is excellent, indicating the ontology has good knowledge extensibility, and also proving the efficiency of the scheme proposed in this work. Besides, the application model of a term hierarchy in information retrieval can show a richer semantic relation than the original thesaurus to guide the retrieval extension of government information resources. 83rd Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science & Technology October 25-29, 2020. Metrics have emerged as an important tool for quantitatively evaluating researchers from a variety of perspectives,including research impact,research quality,interdisciplinarity,and *** in the field of library and information science,many previous studies have highlighted the characteristics of researchers in this ***,only a minority of the studies address the aspect of diversity in research *** purpose of this study is to(1)evaluate the topic diversity of researchers in library and information science and(2)examine the relationships between the researcher topic diversity and research *** propose an indicator to quantify author topic diversity,which we refer to as author topic diversity(ATD).Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA)is used to detect topics in the field,while cosine similarity is used to calculate the diversity of research topics in a given researcher’s *** results show that topic diversity in the field of library and information science varies greatly from author to *** addition,weak positive correlations are found between the ATD and citation indicators,suggesting that engaging in diversified topics may lead to higher research impact.

This study aims to clarify the contours of artificial intelligence (AI) and present how it has evolved in different publication venues in the different stages of its development. Based on the noun phrases extracted from scientific papers of AI, the authors constructed the co-occurrence network of noun phrases to visualize the context of AI. There exists a tension between the original descriptive concept of AI as defined initially in the workshop at Dartmouth College and the relatively recent, vague, and extensible concept of AI. AI is used as a technique or boundary object by different scientific publication venues. This paper creatively applies the boundary object theory to clarify the contours of the concept of AI. Besides, the results will bridge the gap between different stakeholders (e.g., AI researchers, government policy makers, and business entities) in different communities together and promote the efficient and effective discussion and communication about AI. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

With the high mortality rate for the cases of malignant tumors, the discovery and early treatment of cancer is critical to improving the 5-year survival rate of cancer. The biggest challenge in control and prevention is how to detect tumors as early as possible, so that the most effective means can be used for treatment. With the help of the WOS database, researchers found that liquid biopsy, genetic material/protein expression and computer imaging play an important role in cancer detection. Through analysis of the history and current status of cancer detection technology development, this paper also aims to provide guidance for the clinical practice of current cancer screening and provide inspiration for future technological development.

In recent years, data center network is used for transmission, storage and processing of big data, which plays an important role for applications in cloud computing and CDN distribution. Network topology and routing algorithm are its core research content and key technical issues. The traditional network topology is difficult to guarantee the quality of service in scalability and fault tolerance. The server-centric data center network topology can ensure the scale of the data center network by recursively increasing the number of network nodes and links. relative to the Dcell, BCube, and BCCC typical network topology, PTNet network as a typical representative of a new type of the server-centric data center network topology, which has more advantages in scalability, fault tolerance and so on. Multicast and broadcast in data center network have more application scenarios and use value. For example, the video conference online, multimedia remote education and other development are inseparable from the application and promotion of network multicast and broadcast. So it is necessary to research the routing algorithms of multicast and broadcast in the network. Due to the lack of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, the university students have many deficiencies in contribution. We conducted semi-structured interviews with 28 undergraduate and postgraduate students of Nanjing Agricultural University. At the same time, we used descriptive statistics and cross-analysis methods to analyse the motivations of college students' initial contribution and the influencing factor of their choice. Based on this, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the initial submission of college students, and the journals are also provided for reference in the selection of manuscripts.
