3D medical image segmentation is an essential task in the medical image field, which aims to segment organs or tumours into different labels. A number of issues exist with the current 3D medical image segmentation task: existing models cannot simultaneously obtain the space correlation and depth correlation of 3D slices;previous models suffer from local detail loss of positional embedding in 3D images;previous approaches often have blurring of boundaries in segmenting 3D images. To solve these shortcomings, we propose a 3D medical image segmentation model named TPM-SAM. In our model, we design a twinchannel image encoder to simultaneously capture the space correlation and depth correlation of 3D slices through a multi-head attention mechanism and improved adapters. Furthermore, we design a prompt encoding generator, which divides the volumetric image into small blocks and better captures the local detail information. In addition, we introduce a multi-layer aggregation decoder by employing U-Net with multi-level skip connection to solve the blurring of boundaries in processing 3D images. Finally, we experimented and evaluated our model on KiTS21 and LiTS17 datasets to compare with other baseline models. © 2024 IEEE.

P2P Botnet is famous for the resilience against termination. However, its dependence on Neighbor List (NL) makes it susceptible to infiltration and poison, also leading to a dearth of adequate protection of Botmaster's identity. So as to overcome these weaknesses, the novel botnet infrastructure combined with blockchain emerges. But due to some flaws such like high latency and expensive transactions fees on blockchain, these new schemes can't satisfy the need of constructing hyper large-scale botnet in practice. We propose ZombieCoin3.0, a Botnet underlying overlay leveraging IoT devices to be maintainers and integrated with Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), which is able to deploy bots fully on blockchain. And it is versatile for file transfer, data feedback and other command and control scenarios that many contemporaries are impotent to cope with. Our proposal eliminates the P2P botnets' dependence on NL and the bottlenecks that other blockchain combined botnets have. Experiments' results authenticated that the effectiveness of our proposal as well as low latency of communication and nearly zero overhead of cost other comparatives unable to attain are achieved. © 2021 IEEE.

Study of Star/Galaxy Classification Based on the XGBoost Algorithm

Machine learning has achieved great success in many areas today. The lifting algorithm has a strong ability to adapt to various scenarios with a high accuracy, and has played a great role in many fields. But in astronomy, the application of lifting algorithms is still rare. In response to the low classification accuracy of the dark star/galaxy source set in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), a new research result of machine learning, eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), has been introduced. The complete photometric data set is obtained from the SDSS-DR7, and divided into a bright source set and a dark source set according to the star magnitude. Firstly, the ten-fold cross-validation method is used for the bright source set and the dark source set respectively, and the XGBoost algorithm is used to establish the star/galaxy classification model. Then, the grid search and other methods are used to adjust the XGBoost parameters. Finally, based on the galaxy classification accuracy and other indicators, the classification results are analyzed, by comparing with the models of function tree (FT), Adaptive boosting (Adaboost), Random Forest (RF), Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT), Stacked Denoising AutoEncoders (SDAE), and Deep Belief Nets (DBN). The experimental results show that, the XGBoost improves the classification accuracy of galaxies in the dark source classification by nearly 10% as compared to the function tree algorithm, and improves the classification accuracy of sources with the darkest magnitudes in the dark source set by nearly 5% as compared to the function tree algorithm. Compared with other traditional machine learning algorithms and deep neural networks, the XGBoost also has different degrees of improvement. © 2019

Given a multi-features data set, a best preference query (BPQ) computes the maximal preference score (MPS) that the tuples in the data set can achieve with respect to a preference function. BPQs are very useful in applications where users want to efficiently check whether many individual data sets contain tuples that are of interest to them. Although a BPQ can be naïvely answered by issuing a top-1 query and computing the score from the returned tuple, doing so might require to load a larger number of tuples externally. In this paper, we address the problem of efficient processing BPQs by using lightweight cubic (3-dimensional) views. With these in-memory views, the MPSs of BPQs can be efficiently estimated with an error bound guaranteed, by paying only a small number of I/Os. Extensive experimental results over real-life data sets show that our approximate solution can achieve the efficiency of up to three orders of magnitude compared to exact solutions, with certain accuracy guaranteed. © 2012 ACM.

Federated Learning (FL) is a promising decentralized machine learning framework that enables a massive number of clients (e.g., smartphones) to collaboratively train a global model over the Internet without sacrificing their privacy. Though FL’s efficacy in non-convex problems is proven, its convergence amidst biased client participation lacks theoretical study. In this paper, we analyze the convergence of FedAvg on non-convex problems, which is the most renowned FL algorithm. We assume even data distribution but non-IID among clients, and elucidate the convergence rate of FedAvg in situations characterized by biased client participation. Our analysis reveals that biased client participation can significantly reduce the precision of the FL model. We validate this through trace-driven experiments, demonstrating that unbiased client participation results in 11% to 50% higher test accuracy compared to extremely biased client participation. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Hair editing is a critical image synthesis task that aims to edit hair color and hairstyle using text descriptions or reference images, while preserving irrelevant attributes (e.g., identity, background, cloth). Many existing methods are based on StyleGAN to address this task. However, due to the limited spatial distribution of StyleGAN, it struggles with multiple hair color editing and facial preservation. Considering the advancements in diffusion models, we utilize Latent Diffusion Models (LDMs) for hairstyle editing. Our approach introduces Multi-stage Hairstyle Blend (MHB), effectively separating control of hair color and hairstyle in diffusion latent space. Additionally, we train a warping module to align the hair color with the target region. To further enhance multi-color hairstyle editing, we fine-tuned a CLIP model using a multi-color hairstyle dataset. Our method not only tackles the complexity of multi-color hairstyles but also addresses the challenge of preserving original colors during diffusion editing. Extensive experiments showcase the superiority of our method in editing multi-color hairstyles while preserving facial attributes given textual descriptions and reference images. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Simulation study on evacuation scenarios has an important influence on public safety. Unfortunately, the traditional evacuation-drill approach for emergency situations focuses on the physiological interaction between individuals/crowds, whereas the approach ignores psychological interaction. In this paper, we present an emotion contagion model that associates components, such as physiological demand, security requirement and personality traits, with individual agents comprising a crowd, and produces emergent behaviours in the crowd as a whole. The emotion contagion model realises the interaction of physiological and psychological factors. Personality traits are associated with emotions by using the OCEAN, OCC and PAD models. To reflect the complexity of emotion contagion of crowd, we consider three processes: contagion, update, and decay. We also consider the effect of emotions on the movement. Testing results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective and realistic for simulating the movement of heterogeneous crowd in emergency situations. © 2018 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Information freshness is crucial for time-critical IoT applications, since stale information will significantly affect the reliability and accuracy of decisions. This paper investigates the dynamic power control policy for IoT networks to optimize the information freshness, in terms of age of information (AoI), where the status update arrivals at source nodes (SNs) are stochastic. To reduce signaling overheads, the BS can observe the information freshness of the update packets stored at SNs only when the packets have been successfully delivered. To this end, we first formulate the AoI optimal dynamic power control problem as a Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) with the continuous action space, where neither the instantaneous AoI at SNs nor channel power gains are known to the BS at the time of decision making. Then, we have proposed a deep recurrent deterministic policy gradient (DRDPG)-based power control (DRPC) algorithm to minimize the weighted average AoI at the BS. Finally, simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm by comparing it with baseline algorithms. ©2021 IEEE

In the past several years,remarkable achievements have been made in the field of object *** performance is generally improving,the accuracy of small object detection remains low compared with that of large object *** addition,localization misalignment issues are common for small objects,as seen in GoogLeNets and residual networks(ResNets).To address this problem,we propose an improved region-based fully convolutional network(R-FCN).The presented technique improves detection accuracy and eliminates localization misalignment by replacing positionsensitive region of interest(PS-RoI)pooling with position-sensitive precise region of interest(PS-Pr-RoI)pooling,which avoids coordinate quantization and directly calculates two-order integrals for position-sensitive score maps,thus preventing a loss of spatial precision.A validation experiment was conducted in which the Microsoft common objects in context(MS COCO)training dataset was *** showed an accuracy improvement of 3.7%for object detection tasks and an increase of 6.0%for small objects.
