The construction of Generalized knowledge Graph (GKG), including knowledge graph, event knowledge graph and commonsense knowledge graph, is fundamental for various natural language processing tasks. Current studies typically construct these types of graph separately, overlooking holistic insights and potential unification that could be beneficial in computing resources and usage perspectives. However, a key challenge in developing a unified framework for GKG is obstacles arising from task-specific differences. In this study, we propose a unified framework for constructing generalized knowledge graphs to address this challenge. First, we collect data from 15 sub-tasks in 29 datasets across the three types of graphs, categorizing them into in-sample, counter-task, and out-of-distribution (OOD) data. Then, we propose a three-stage curriculum learning fine-tuning framework, by iteratively injecting knowledge from the three types of graphs into the Large Language Models. Extensive experiments show that our proposed model improves the construction of all three graph types across in-domain, OOD and counter-task data. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

MapColorAI: Designing Contextually Relevant Choropleth Map Color Schemes Using a Large Language Model

Choropleth maps, which utilize color schemes to visualize spatial patterns and trends, are simple yet effective tools for geographic data analysis. As such, color scheme design is a critical aspect of choropleth map creation. The traditional coloring methods offered by GIS tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS are not user-friendly for nonprofessionals. On the one hand, these tools provide numerous color schemes, making it hard to decide which one best matches the theme. On the other hand, it is difficult to fulfill some ambiguous and personalized coloring needs of users, such as requests for ‘summer-like’ map colors. To address these shortcomings, we develop a novel system that leverages a large language model and map color design principles to generate contextually relevant and user-aligned choropleth map color schemes. The system follows a three-stage process: data processing, which provides an overview of the data and classifies the data into meaningful classes;Color Concept Design, where the color theme and color mode are conceptualized based on data characteristics and user intentions;and Color Scheme Design, where specific colors are assigned to classes based on generated color theme, color mode, and user requirements. Our system incorporates an interactive interface, providing necessary visualization for choropleth map color design and allowing users to customize and refine color choices flexibly. Through user studies and evaluations, the system demonstrates acceptable usability, accuracy, and flexibility, with users highlighting the tool’s efficiency and ease of use. Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims at accurately identifying emotional states expressed in conversational content. Existing ERC methods, although relying on semantic understanding, often encounter challenges when confronted with incomplete or misleading semantic information. In addition, when dealing with the interaction between emotional and semantic information, existing methods are often difficult to effectively distinguish the complex relationship between the two, which affects the accuracy of emotion recognition. To address the problems of semantic misdirection and emotional cross-talk encountered by traditional models when confronted with complex conversational data, we propose a semantic and emotional dual channel (SEDC) strategy for emotion recognition in conversations to process emotional and semantic information independently. Under this strategy, emotion information provides an auxiliary recognition function when the semantics are unclear or lacking, enhancing the accuracy of the model. Our model consists of two modules: the emotion processing module accurately captures the emotional features of each utterance through contrastive learning, and then constructs a dialogue emotion propagation map to simulate the emotional information conveyed in the dialogue;the semantic processing module combines an external knowledge base to enhance the semantic expression of the dialogue through knowledge enhancement strategies. This divide-and-conquer approach allows us to more deeply analyze the emotional and semantic dimensions of complex dialogues. Experimental results on the IEMOCAP, EmoryNLP, MELD, and DailyDialog datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms existing techniques and effectively improves the accuracy of dialogue emotion recognition. Information content and sentiment: the role of environmental disclosure in stock price crash risk

Environmental disclosure is a topic of global importance. When negative environmental news emerges and is eventually revealed, it can influence investor decisions and lead to significant stock price movements, potentially resulting in stock price crashes. Therefore, using a sample of A-share listed companies on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2017 to 2022, we construct an environmental sentiment dictionary, establish an environmental disclosure content index system, and explore the influence mechanism of environmental disclosure on stock price crash risk. Findings show that increased environmental disclosure sentiment intensity can boost stock price crash risk, whereas greater environmental disclosure content can significantly reduce it. Furthermore, we identify a significant threshold effect related to the sentiment intensity of environmental disclosure. Notably, in environmental disclosure, sentiment tends to have a stronger impact than content. Mechanism analysis reveals that environmental disclosure content is influenced by external disclosure sources, the tone of internal annual reports, and internal control mechanisms. Meanwhile, environmental disclosure sentiment intensity is driven by earnings management and investor risk perception. This study develops a more comprehensive method for measuring environmental information disclosure and offers important insights for improving environmental management among listed companies. © 2025

GeoMinLM: A Large Language Model in Geology and Mineral Survey in Yunnan Province

In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence and big data technologies has led to the advancement of tools and solutions for transforming the geological and mineral survey paradigm, which requires a large amount of geological knowledge in a complex and arduous working environment. The large language model (LLM) has a significant advantage in answering generative intelligent questions. However, LLMs for general fields have limitations in answering professional questions in a vertical domain like geology. To overcome this challenge, we proposed and developed GeoMinLM, an LLM for geological and mineral exploration scenarios in Yunnan Province, and explored its applications in intelligent Q&A. Leveraging a proprietary dataset of 5.16 million words in geology and mineral exploration, we trained GeoMinLM based on Baichuan-2, achieving superior performance through fine-tuning and hyperparameter optimization. By integrating expert knowledge via a knowledge graph, we significantly reduced hallucinations and enhanced professionalism. This study proves that GeoMinLM is helpful for accurate information retrieval and knowledge dissemination, thereby supporting the intelligent advancement of geological and mineral fields. © 2025 The Author(s)

This paper presents a trajectory tracking algorithm designed for autonomous quadrotors to navigate complex dy-namic environments that is resilient to collision disturbances. Since it combines Model Predictive Contouring Control (MPCC) with the capabilities of neural networks, our method is named MPCC Integrated with Neural Augmentation (MINA). By equip-ping the quadrotor with PVDF piezoelectric sensors, we achieve real-time perception of collision forces and utilize S4D-Conv Adaptive Net Architecture (SANA) for state computation, a network that integrates the advantages of S4D and convolutional kernels to enhance the accuracy of state predictions. We incorporate the predicted results into the MPCC framework to optimize the thrust output of the quadrotor for the next time step, ensuring precise trajectory tracking. Experimental validation demonstrates the reliability and effectiveness of our algorithm, providing an innovative solution for autonomous flight and trajectory tracking of quadrotors in complex dynamic environments.

A Novel Spatiotemporal Correlation Anomaly Detection Method Based on Time-Frequency-Domain Feature Fusion and a Dynamic Graph Neural Network in Wireless Sensor Network

Attention-based transformers have played an important role in wireless sensor network (WSN) timing anomaly detection due to their ability to capture long-term dependencies. However, there are several issues that must be addressed, such as the fact that their ability to capture long-term dependencies is not completely reliable, their computational complexity levels are high, and the spatiotemporal features of WSN timing data are not sufficiently extracted for detecting the correlation anomalies of multinode WSN timing data. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a WSN anomaly detection method that integrates frequency-domain features with dynamic graph neural networks (GNN) under a designed self-encoder reconstruction framework. First, the discrete wavelet transform effectively decomposes trend and seasonal components of time series to solve the poor long-term reliability of transformers. Second, a frequency-domain attention mechanism is designed to make full use of the difference between the amplitude distributions of normal data and anomalous data in this domain. Finally, a multimodal fusion-based dynamic graph convolutional network (MFDGCN) is designed by combining an attention mechanism and a graph convolutional network (GCN) to adaptively extract spatial correlation features. A series of experiments conducted on public datasets and their results demonstrate that the anomaly detection method designed in this paper exhibits superior precision and recall than the existing methods do, with an F1 score of 93.5%, representing an improvement of 2.9% over that of the existing models. Fuzzy Preference Completion with Ranked and Unranked Preferences

As for social choice, all alternatives are ranked by agents to form preferences as linear orders. However, in applications, sometimes some alternatives cannot be ranked, or it is unnecessary to rank them, which leads to unranked alternatives. Hence, without loss of generality, by dividing the set of alternatives into three ranked and unranked subsets, including top-k alternatives, intermediate-r alternatives, and last-l alternatives, the Mallows model on ranked and unranked preferences can be analyzed systematically. Technically, a repeated insertion model is adopted during sampling, and probability distributions are derived for ranked and unranked preferences of alternatives. Experimental results verify the accuracy of the probability distributions for different ranked and unranked preferences of alternatives. Furthermore, in order to solve the preference completion problem where agents have multiple partial rankings, a fuzzy preference completion algorithm, Fuzzy-Multi-Rankings, is proposed, which introduces a fuzzy ranking to complete the target agent’s preference in addition to the traditional nearest-neighbor-based methods. Based on the three ranked and unranked preferences, seven cases can be classified and analyzed for fuzzy preference completion. Experiments on the synthetic datasets and MovieLens dataset confirm the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed Fuzzy-Multi-Rankings algorithm and also verify the accuracy of the evaluated probability distributions for the proposed seven cases.

Adaptive PUPM-based HEVC Video Steganography Balancing Embedding Performance and Security

For the prediction unit partition modes (PUPM)-based steganography, a mainstream branch of high efficiency video coding (HEVC) video steganography, striking a balance between embedding performance and security is very challenging. Including the 2N × 2 N PUPMs having the maximum number of PUPMs into data embedding is indeed an effective way of enlarging the embedding capacity, but it necessarily causes a significant decline in security. Therefore, a multi-factor-involved cost function (MFICF) is proposed in this paper to evaluate the embedding cost for modifying each PUPM by comprehensively considering four different aspects affecting the embedding performance and security. With the assistance of MFICF, the 7-ary notational system is combined to use all the 7 types of PUPMs containing 2N × 2N for data embedding, thus enlarging the embedding capacity as well as enhancing the embedding efficiency. The syndrome-trellis code driven by MFICF, named CFSTC, is designed to preferentially select PUPMs with low embedding costs for data embedding, so that the embedding efficiency is largely enhanced. The security is effectively guaranteed by allocating a large embedding cost for modifying 2N × 2N to another type of PUPM. Finally, a lightweight convolutional neural network in combination with gated channel transformation, called GSCNet, is proposed to replace the in-loop filter in HEVC, further optimizing the visual distortion and bitrate increase caused by data embedding. Combining these components above, we design a PUPM-based steganography algorithm, GSAPM. Experimental results show that GSAPM effectively enhances the embedding performance while maintaining high security. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

Driver drowsiness electroencephalogram (EEG) signal monitoring can promptly alert drivers of their drowsiness in edge-end Consumer Electronics (CE), thereby reducing the probability of traffic accidents. Graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have shown significant advancements in processing the non-stationary, time-varying, and non-Euclidean nature of EEG signals. However, the existing single-channel EEG adjacency graph construction process lacks interpretability, which hinders the ability of GCNs to effectively extract adjacency graph features, thus affecting the performance of drowsiness monitoring. To address this issue, we propose an edge-end Lightweight Dual Graph Convolutional Network (LDGCN). Specifically, we are the first to incorporate neurophysiological knowledge to design a Baseline Drowsiness Status Adjacency Graph (BDSAG), which characterizes driver drowsiness status. Additionally, to express more features within limited EEG data, we introduce the Augmented Graph-level Module (AGM). This module captures global and local information at the graph level, ensuring that BDSAG features remain intact while enhancing effective feature expression capability. To further enhance the application of CE, we apply Adaptive Pruning Optimization (APO) to the channels and neurons of LDGCN, which nearly halves the inference latency. Experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that LDGCN offers the best trade-off between monitoring performance and hardware resource utilization, outperforming existing state-of-the-art algorithms. © 1975-2011 IEEE.
