Current sketch extraction methods either require extensive training or fail to capture a wide range of artistic styles, limiting their practical applicability and versatility. We introduce Mixture-of-Self-Attention (MixSA), a training-free sketch extraction method that leverages strong diffusion priors for enhanced sketch perception. At its core, MixSA employs a mixture-of-self-attention technique, which manipulates self-attention layers by substituting the keys and values with those from reference sketches. This allows for the seamless integration of brushstroke elements into initial outline images, offering precise control over texture density and enabling interpolation between styles to create novel, unseen styles. By aligning brushstroke styles with the texture and contours of colored images, particularly in late decoder layers handling local textures, MixSA addresses the common issue of color averaging by adjusting initial outlines. Evaluated with various perceptual metrics, MixSA demonstrates superior performance in sketch quality, flexibility, and applicability. This approach not only overcomes the limitations of existing methods but also empowers users to generate diverse, high-fidelity sketches that more accurately reflect a wide range of artistic expressions. Large-scale human mobility data contains rich spatial and temporal information for urban sensing, crowd flow modeling, and urban planning. However, it is usually difficult to access wide-coverage, long-term, and consistent-time human mobility data. Most of the publicly available datasets are actually only records of discontinuous trajectories of a very small portion of urban citizens in asynchronous time due to the limited usage of apps for location data collection or the limited number of volunteers. To address this problem and empower open urban research, this paper constructs a high-quality human mobility dataset by generating large-scale citizen trajectories based on massive cellular signaling data. Particularly, we first propose a heatmap diffusion module to generate a probability heatmap that produces plausible trajectories at both the individual and city scales. Then, we propose a masked trajectory AutoEncoder, which can generate individual trajectory embeddings from partially given or empty trajectories. Third, a flexible framework is provided to incorporate the heatmap diffusion module with the masked trajectory embeddings, demonstrating significant flexibility in handling both fully masked trajectories for city-wide analysis and partially masked trajectories for specific locations. We have conducted extensive experiments to validate the utility of the regenerated trajectories at both individual and region levels for various applications. Numerous case studies further illustrate that our model learns not only the distribution of the trajectories but also the semantics of different urban *** summary, this paper provides a Heatmap Diffusion framework based on a Masked Trajectory AutoEncoder to regenerate flexible trajectories for open urban research. Visual Place Recognition (VPR) is aimed at predicting the location of a query image by referencing a database of geotagged images. For VPR task, often fewer discriminative local regions in an image produce important effects while mundane background regions do not contribute or even cause perceptual aliasing because of easy overlap. However, existing methods lack precisely modeling and full exploitation of these discriminative regions. In this paper, we propose the Focus on Local (FoL) approach to stimulate the performance of image retrieval and re-ranking in VPR simultaneously by mining and exploiting reliable discriminative local regions in images and introducing pseudo-correlation supervision. First, we design two losses, Extraction-Aggregation Spatial Alignment Loss (SAL) and Foreground-Background Contrast Enhancement Loss (CEL), to explicitly model reliable discriminative local regions and use them to guide the generation of global representations and efficient re-ranking. Second, we introduce a weakly-supervised local feature training strategy based on pseudo-correspondences obtained from aggregating global features to alleviate the lack of local correspondences ground truth for the VPR task. Third, we suggest an efficient re-ranking pipeline that is efficiently and precisely based on discriminative region guidance. Finally, experimental results show that our FoL achieves the state-of-the-art on multiple VPR benchmarks in both image retrieval and re-ranking stages and also significantly outperforms existing two-stage VPR methods in terms of computational efficiency. Multimodal Sentiment Analysis (MSA) is an attractive research that aims to integrate sentiment expressed in textual, visual, and acoustic signals. There are two main problems in the existing methods: 1) the dominant role of the text is underutilization in unaligned multimodal data, and 2) the modality under uncertain missing feature is not sufficiently explored. This paper proposes a Text-guided Reconstruction Network (TgRN) for MSA with uncertain missing modalities in non-aligned sequences. The TgRN network includes three primary modules: Text-guided Extraction Module (TEM), Reconstruction Module (RM) and Text-guided Fusion Module (TFM). First, the TEM consists of the text-guided cross attention units and self-attention units to capture inter-modal features and intra-modal features, respectively. Second, leveraging enhanced attention units and a three-way squeeze-and-excitation block, the RM is designed to learn semantic information from incomplete data and reconstruct missing modality features. Third, the TFM utilizes a progressive modality-mixing adaptation gate to explore the dynamic correlations between nonverbal and verbal modalities, effectively addressing the modality gap issue. Finally, under the supervision of sentiment prediction loss and reconstruction loss, the TgRN effectively processes both uncertain missing-modality conditions and ideal complete modality conditions. Extensive experiments on CMU-MOSI and CH-SIMS demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches. © 2010-2012 IEEE.

In order to effectively utilize the consensus and complementary information in multi-view data to achieve better clustering performance, a large number of multi-view clustering algorithms have been proposed. A common multi-view subspace clustering method for mining consensus information is to learn a uniform consensus representation matrix for multiple views. But there are currently studies questioning the rationality of this method. To address this issue, the research in this paper establishes a link between view-specific representation matrices and consensus representation matrices, making the learning of consensus representation matrices more reasonable. Specifically, this paper considers the vectors formed by the representation coefficients of the samples as embeddings of the sample features in the Rm linear space, after which a mapping relationship will be established between the view-specific representation matrices and the consensus representation matrices to learn reasonable consensus representation matrices. Extensive experiments on eight benchmark datasets show that the proposed algorithm is effective and competitive. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) is a crucial non-invasive technique for exploring the microstructure of the living human brain. Traditional hand-crafted and model-based tissue microstructure reconstruction methods often require extensive diffusion gradient sampling, which can be time-consuming and limits the clinical applicability of tissue microstructure information. Recent advances in deep learning have shown promise in microstructure estimation; however, accurately estimating tissue microstructure from clinically feasible dMRI scans remains challenging without appropriate constraints. This paper introduces a novel framework that achieves high-fidelity and rapid diffusion microstructure imaging by simultaneously leveraging anatomical information from macro-level priors and mutual information across parameters. This approach enhances time efficiency while maintaining accuracy in microstructure estimation. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms four state-of-the-art techniques, achieving a peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of 30.51±0.58 and a structural similarity index measure (SSIM) of 0.97±0.004 in estimating parametric maps of multiple diffusion models. Notably, our method achieves a 15× acceleration compared to the dense sampling approach, which typically utilizes 270 diffusion gradients.

Surface reconstruction of dynamic scenes from single view videos is a challenging task due to the highly ill-posed and under-constrained nature. Existing single view reconstruction methods suffer from severe quality issues, such as surface distortion and mesh adherison. In this paper, we propose an efficient dynamic representation network, PD-SDF, which consists of a 4D motion field and a 3D geometry field. The explicit disentanglement of motion and geometry based on planar factorization guarantees the mesh consistency across frames. Specifically, to address the mesh adhesion problem, we design a depth-guided sampling strategy to focus on optimizing the SDF field near the object surface. Due to insufficient geometric cues, we design various regularization strategies to constrain smoothness and topological correcness of the scene geometry. Extensive experiments show that our method outperforms existing methods in both appearance and geometry reconstruction. The project page: https://***/

QoS-Based Beamforming and Compression Design for Cooperative Cellular Networks via Lagrangian Duality

This paper considers the quality-of-service (QoS)-based joint beamforming and compression design problem in the downlink cooperative cellular network, where multiple relay-like base stations (BSs), connected to the central processor via ratelimited fronthaul links, cooperatively transmit messages to the users. The problem of interest is formulated as the minimization of the total transmit power of the BSs, subject to all users' signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) constraints and all BSs' fronthaul rate constraints. In this paper, we first show that there is no duality gap between the considered joint optimization problem and its Lagrangian dual by showing the tightness of its semidefinite relaxation (SDR). Then, we propose an efficient algorithm based on the above duality result for solving the considered problem. The proposed algorithm judiciously exploits the special structure of an enhanced Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions of the considered problem and approaches the solution that satisfies the enhanced KKT conditions via two fixed point iterations. Two key features of the proposed algorithm are: (1) it is able to detect whether the considered problem is feasible or not and find its globally optimal solution when it is feasible;(2) it is highly efficient because both of the fixed point iterations in the proposed algorithm are linearly convergent and function evaluations in the fixed point iterations are computationally cheap. Numerical results show the global optimality and efficiency of the proposed algorithm. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

A Causal Adversarial Graph Neural Network for Multi-Center Autism Spectrum Disorder Identification

Due to the heterogeneous distributions of multi-center rs-fMRI data, currently it is still challenging to identify accurately autism spectrum disorder (ASD) patients from these heterogenous data. To deal with the influence of heterogeneous distributions on multi-center ASD diagnosis, a novel causal adversarial graph neural network (CAG) for multi-center ASD prediction is proposed in this work. CAG mainly consists of a graph filtering (GF) module and a learnable causal graph predictor (CGP). Specifically, the brain connection graph is first constructed from rs-fMRI data, after passing a GF module, the filtered graph is further divided by a causal subgraph and causally irrelevant subgraph. The ground-truth environmental labels and ASD labels are predicted from causal subgraph by a clustering method and a classification block, respectively. In addition, from the filtered graph and causally irrelevant subgraph, the environmental labels are predicted, while from the causally irrelevant subgraph the ASD labels are predicted. Assuming that the predicted environmental labels are independent to causal subgraph, while the predicted ASD labels are independent to causally irrelevant subgraph, accordingly, several adversarial losses are implemented by reversing the gradient. Through this adversarial learning strategy, the derived causal graph can predict multi-center ASD. The comparison experiments on both ABIDE-I and ABIDE-II datasets demonstrate that, the ACC and AUC of CAG has been improved by 3.78\% and 7.38\% at least comparing against the existing methods. Moreover, some abnormal functional connectivities in ASD group are identified from the causal subgraph which may provide useful imaging biomarkers for the early diagnosis of ASD. © 2025, The Authors.
