Analysis and Optimization on Partition-Based Caching and Delivery in Satellite-Terrestrial Edge Computing Networks

As a viable component of 6G wireless communication architecture,satellite-terrestrial networks support efficient file delivery by leveraging the innate broadcast ability of satellite and the enhanced powerful file transmission approaches of multi-tier terrestrial *** the paper,we introduce edge computing technology into the satellite-terrestrial network and propose a partition-based cache and delivery strategy to make full use of the integrated resources and reducing the backhaul *** on the interference effect from varied nodes in different geographical distances,we derive the file successful transmission probability of the typical user and by utilizing the tool of stochastic *** the constraint of nodes cache space and file sets parameters,we propose a near-optimal partition-based cache and delivery strategy by optimizing the asymptotic successful transmission probability of the typical *** complex nonlinear programming problem is settled by jointly utilizing standard particle-based swarm optimization(PSO)method and greedy based multiple knapsack choice problem(MKCP)optimization *** results show that compared with the terrestrial only cache strategy,Ground Popular Strategy,Satellite Popular Strategy,and Independent and identically distributed popularity strategy,the performance of the proposed scheme improve by 30.5%,9.3%,12.5%and 13.7%.

A Gray code based gradient-free optimization(GCO)algorithm is proposed to update the parameters of parameterized quantum circuits(PQCs)in this *** parameter of PQCs is encoded as a binary string,named as a gene,and a genetic-based method is adopted to select the *** individuals in the offspring are decoded in Gray code way to keep Hamming distance,and then are evaluated to obtain the best one with the lowest cost value in each *** algorithm is performed iteratively for all parameters one by one until the cost value satisfies the stop condition or the number of iterations is *** GCO algorithm is demonstrated for classification tasks in Iris and MNIST datasets,and their performance are compared by those with the Bayesian optimization algorithm and binary code based optimization *** simulation results show that the GCO algorithm can reach high accuracies steadily for quantum classification ***,the GCO algorithm has a robust performance in the noise environment.

The existing direction-of-arrival(DOA)estimation methods only utilize the current received signals,which are susceptible to *** this paper,a method for DOA estimation based on a motion platform is proposed to achieve high-precision DOA estimation by utilizing past and present *** concept of synthetic aperture is introduced to construct a linear DOA estima-tion model.A DOA fine-tuning method based on the linear model is proposed to eliminate the lin-ear DOA variation,achieving a non-coherent accumulation of DOA ***,the baseband modulation and the phase modulation caused by the range history are compensated to achieve the coherent accumulation of all the DOA *** results show that the proposed method can significantly improve the DOA estimated accuracy at low signal-to-noise ratios(SNR).

Single-qubit quantum classifier based on gradient-free optimization algorithm

A single-qubit quantum classifier(SQC)based on a gradient-free optimization(GFO)algorithm,named the GFO-based SQC,is proposed to overcome the effects of barren plateaus caused by quantum ***,a rotation gate R_(X)(φ)is applied on the single-qubit binary quantum classifier,and the training data and parameters are loaded intoφin the form of vector *** cost function is decreased by finding the value of each parameter that yields the minimum expectation value of measuring the quantum *** algorithm is performed iteratively for all parameters one by one until the cost function satisfies the stop *** proposed GFO-based SQC is demonstrated for classification tasks in Iris and MNIST datasets and compared with the Adam-based SQC and the quantum support vector machine(QSVM).Furthermore,the performance of the GFO-based SQC is discussed when the rotation gate in the quantum device is under different types of *** simulation results show that the GFO-based SQC can reach a high accuracy in reduced ***,the proposed GFO algorithm can quickly complete the training process of the ***,the GFO-based SQC has a good performance in noisy environments.

Nowadays, with the rapid development of Internet technology and the emergence of converged media, the rapid transmission of news and information and the ways of transmission are increasingly diversified, and the transmission of video information is gradually developing forward and entering the mainstream of society. Video communication has become an integral part of the new era. This paper proposes a conference mode, which is convenient for the video conference terminal to connect to the video conference software, and also convenient for later operation and maintenance. Our video conference terminal uses Polycom's hardware equipment, our software client uses Huawei cloud conference, and our management platform is managed by the intelligent edge platform of the Internet of Things. The conference system, which supports HD real-time video transmission, has lower delay when resharing the screen than the conference system developed by Tencent Conference. This system maintains stable transmission even in the case of serious renetwork packet loss. © 2023 SPIE.

Two-Hop Partial Task Offloading and Resource Allocation in Air-Ground Integrated Mobile Edge Computing Network: A DRL-based Method

The integration of mobile edge computing (MEC) and air-ground integrated network is viewed as a crucial technology for Internet of remote things (IoRT) devices. It provides widespread service coverage and allows the tasks of IoRT devices to be executed by the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the high altitude platforms (HAPs). In this paper, we investigate a joint partial task offloading, resource allocation, and UAV trajectory design problem to minimize the total task offloading delay of all IoRT devices in the air-ground integrated MEC network. Given that the problem is non-convex and hard to solve by the traditional methods, we convert it into a Markov decision process (MDP) and leverage the deep reinforcement learning method to address it. Considering the complexity of the MDP grows with the number of the IoRT devices and the UAVs increasing, the primal problem is decomposed into two subproblems: the UAV trajectory design and IoRT device power control subproblem, and the partial task offloading and resource allocation subproblem. To address these two subproblems, we apply the basic concepts of the multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG) and the independent proximal policy optimization (IPPO) methods, respectively. Additionally, we introduce the enhanced prioritized experience replay and noise value to improve both the convergence performance and rate. This leads to the development of the MADDPG-improved prioritized experience replay (MADDPG-IPER) algorithm and noise value-IPPO (NV-IPPO) algorithm. Based on the solution of these two subproblems, a joint partial task offloading, resource allocation, and UAV trajectory design (JPTORAUTD) algorithm is proposed. Simulation results present that the proposed JPTORAUTD algorithm outperforms other benchmark algorithms in terms of reducing the total task offloading delay. © 2025 IEEE.

Bessel–Gaussian beam-based orbital angular momentum holography

Orbital angular momentum(OAM), as a new degree of freedom, has recently been applied in holography *** to the infinite helical mode index of OAM mode, a large number of holographic images can be reconstructed from an OAM-multiplexing hologram. However, the traditional design of an OAM hologram is constrained by the helical mode index of the selected OAM mode, for a larger helical mode index OAM mode has a bigger sampling distance, and the crosstalk is produced for different sampling distances for different OAM modes. In this paper, we present the design of the OAM hologram based on a Bessel–Gaussian beam, which is non-diffractive and has a self-healing property during its propagation. The Fourier transform of the Bessel–Gaussian beam is the perfect vortex mode that has the fixed ring radius for different OAM modes. The results of simulation and experiment have demonstrated the feasibility of the generation of the OAM hologram with the Bessel–Gaussian beam. The quality of the reconstructed holographic image is increased, and the security is enhanced. Additionally, the anti-interference property is improved owing to its self-healing property of the Bessel-OAM holography.

This paper introduces a self-calibrating circuit for multi-phase signals that enables autonomous phase offset calibration in a multi-phase delay-locked loop (MDLL). This paper refines multi-phase signals mismatches using an adjacent phase spacing error extraction technique and a high-precision phase detection circuit. The calibration algorithm addresses the static phase mismatch in the MDLL and mitigates voltage controlled delay line (VCDL) mismatches. The adjacent phase spacing difference extraction technique, by eliminating the need for an actual phase spacing quantization, the adjacent phase spacing difference extraction technique reduces the digital time converter's (DTC) required dynamic range. Utilizing a 40nm CMOS process with a core layout area of 0.02856 mm2, the design simulation results demonstrate a reduction in maximum phase error from 5.96° pre-calibration to 0.718° post-calibration within an input frequency range of 14GHz. © 2024 IEEE.
