Parameters selection of support vector machine is the key issue that impacts its accurate performance. A method for support vector regression machine with standard particle swarm optimization (SPSO) algorithm is proposed in this paper. Furthermore, in order to improve the performance of the SPSO algorithm, the concept of the particles' average distance and fitness variance is proposed to make the efficiency of algorithm better. So, the improve algorithm was also applied in this paper. The two different models using SPSO and IPSO respectively were used to forecast the density of the acid-lead battery electrolyte. The experimental results indicate that both SPSO and IPSO have high prediction accuracy and efficiency. The time of the parametric searching by IPSO is obviously decreased to that of SPSO. The mean squared error (MSE) of the prediction model using SPSO is about 2.02056×10-4, Meanwhile, the MSE of the model using IPSO is only about 1.9324×10-4. So, the IPSO algorithm has more superior performance on convergence speed and global optimization. © 2012 Huazhong Univ of Sci & Tec.

DNA tile self-assembly has been proved to enable programmable manipulation of biological systems as a tool of molecular computation. It is mainly based on the property that is the spontaneous self-ordering of substructure into superstructure driven by annealing of Watson-Crick base-pairing DNA sequences. We take full advantage of the superiority of DNA tile self-assembly to construct a molecular computing system that implements a solution for the 0-1 planning problem. This algorithm can independently and simultaneously yield the data pool, containing all possible solutions when all basic operation tiles are designed beforehand. Then we can use some advanced bio-chemistry techniques to select the optimization solutions of the 0-1 planning problem. Our work has shown that it is possible to work with an exponential number of components to solve NP-complete problems. The method proposed here also can reduce the number of laboratory steps required for computation so that it can improve the computation speed. Copyright © 2010 American Scientific Publishers. As we know, a novel adaptive visual servoing strategy has been proposed for the control of robot manipulators with an eye-in-hand configuration, where an adaptive law is used to estimate the unknown parameters determined by the products of the unknown 3D coordinates and the unknown camera parameters. From a practical point of view, in this paper, we propose a novel strategy for the estimation of these two types of unknown parameters. The new strategy is very useful in that it can reduce the number of the unknown parameters to be estimated. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method, preliminary simulation results based on a two-link planar robot manipulator are presented in this paper. © 2011 IEEE.

Traditional recurrent neural networks are composed of capacitors, inductors, resistors, and operational *** neural networks are constructed by replacing resistors with memristors. This paper focuses on the memory analysis,i.e. the initial value computation, of memristors. Firstly, we present the memory analysis for a single memristor based on memristors’ mathematical models with linear and nonlinear ***, we present the memory analysis for two memristors in series and parallel. Thirdly, we point out the difference between traditional neural networks and those that are memristive. Based on the current and voltage relationship of memristors, we use mathematical analysis and SPICE simulations to demonstrate the validity of our methods.

Semisupervised Transfer Boosting (SS-TrBoosting)

Semisupervised domain adaptation (SSDA) aims at training a high-performance model for a target domain using few labeled target data, many unlabeled target data, and plenty of auxiliary data from a source domain. Previous works in SSDA mainly focused on learning transferable representations across domains. However, it is difficult to find a feature space where the source and target domains share the same conditional probability distribution. Additionally, there is no flexible and effective strategy extending existing unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) approaches to SSDA settings. In order to solve the above two challenges, we propose a novel fine-tuning framework, semisupervised transfer boosting (SS-TrBoosting). Given a well-trained deep learning-based UDA or SSDA model, we use it as the initial model, generate additional base learners by boosting, and then use all of them as an ensemble. More specifically, half of the base learners are generated by supervised domain adaptation, and half by semisupervised learning. Furthermore, for more efficient data transmission and better data privacy protection, we propose a source data generation approach to extend SS-TrBoosting to semisupervised source-free domain adaptation (SS-SFDA). Extensive experiments showed that SS-TrBoosting can be applied to a variety of existing UDA, SSDA, and SFDA approaches to further improve their performance. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper considers the problem that the virtual mobile operator (VMO) buys services from the wireless service provider (WSP) to serve its users. When faced with poor indoor coverage or at the edge of marcocell, the WSP would ask nearby femto base stations (FBSs) to help serve the VMO. We focus on the interesting questions when the WSP prefers to ask help from FBSs and how WSP, VMO and FBSs adjust their strategies to maximize their profits. A two-stage Stackelberg game is built for the situation when the WSP serve the VMO by itself and a four-stage Stackelberg game is considered when the WSP rents FBSs by offering spectrum bands to FBSs. We firstly define the utility functions of VMO, WSP and FBSs to reflect their satisfaction and cost in participating into the game and then give the analysis based on the backward induction method. Meanwhile, the competition among FBSs when the WSP allocates spectrum bands for FBSs' help is formulated as a non-cooperative spectrum competition game (NSCG) and the existence and uniqueness of the Nash equilibrium in NSCG is proved. Simulation results of the two service modes show the WSP can obtain more profits through renting FBSs in poor coverage areas. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Fuzzy enhancement is applied in computer aided diagnosis of liver cancer from B mode ultrasound images as a pre-processing procedure in this paper. It was evaluated with three classifiers including K means, back propagation neural network and support vector machine using 25 features from first order statistic (FOS), gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), gray-level run-length matrix (GLRLM), Grey level dependant matrix (GLDM) and LAWS. In the analysis of 166 normal liver tissue, 30 hemangioma and 60 malignant tumor, our method improved the classification accuracy of three classifiers (K means, BP neural network and support machine vector) in distinguishing liver cancer, hemangioma and normal liver cancer from B mode ultrasound images. It is proved that fuzzy enhancement as an efficient preprocessing procedure could be used in the computer aided diagnosis system of liver cancer. © 2011 IEEE.

Solving nonlinear equation systems (NESs) is a challenging problems in numerical computation. Two goals should be considered for solving NESs. One is to locate as many roots as possible and the other is to improve the solving precision. In this work, in order to achieve these two goals, a two-phase niching differential evolution (TPNDE) is proposed. The innovation of TPNDE is mainly reflected in the following three aspects. First, a probabilistic mutation mechanism is designed to increase the diversity of the population. Second, a novel reinitialization procedure is proposed to detect converged individuals and explore more new regions that may contain global optima. Third, distribution adjustment local search (DALS) is proposed to deal with the isolated solution and enhance the convergence of the algorithm. To evaluate the performance of TPNDE, we test our TPNDE and 5 state-of-the-art algorithms on 20 NESs with diverse features. The experimental results show that the proposed TPNDE algorithm is better than the other methods. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A new digital image scrambling method based on DCT and chaos maps is presented in this *** the chaotic system in semi-frequency domain,all the pixels of the original image are rearranged and *** procedure of the algorithm is roughly divided into three steps:first,an original image is decomposed for its first variable by 1-D DCT, then modulated by chaos system,a primary scrambling result is achieved,at last,after by inverse 1-D DCT for the scrambling result,repeating the same procedure for the second variable,a final scrambling result is obtained for the original *** confirm the robustness of the novel method,some robustness testing experiments are carried out on the scrambling *** experimental results shows that the method succeeds in enduring several kinds of common image attacks,such as cropping,noise and rotation.

With the development of human-computer interaction systems, emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) has attracted increasing interest in recent years. Motivated by recent studies which have proven that generating emotional conversation responses can effectively improve the performance of the ERC model. However, accurate emotional response is complicated due to the limited number of dialogue samples. Therefore, we propose a simple and effective framework for emotion prediction in conversation based on relationship extraction (DiaRP), consisting of two curricula: (1) Dialogue Relationship Capture (DRC);and (2) Next Emotion Prediction (NEP). In DRC, we capture the current emotional self-dependence and interpersonal dependence according to the influence of self and others on the current moment emotion in the conversation. We integrate self-dependence and interpersonal dependence for NEP to predict their emotional state without current utterance. We also measure the similarity between recognized emotion distribution and predicted emotion distribution by the KL divergence. With the proposed model-agnostic DiaRP strategy, we observe a significant performance improvement over a wide range of existing ERC models and achieve new state-of-the-art results on three public ERC datasets. © 2023 IEEE.
