In this paper, the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system as the contributor of building climate management is studied on multi-zone climate dynamics modelling and control for occupancy comfort. The first-principles model together with data-driven model as the hybrid model is proposed for comprehensive multi-zone hygro-thermal dynamics. The unmodeled climate dynamics such as unknown nonlinearity and uncertainty is modeled in a linear form based on the compact form dynamic linearization (CFDL) method. Then model free adaptive control (MFAC) scheme including controller design and parameter estimation is proposed to realize multi-zone climate control and occupancy comfort. The dynamic response performance of the hybrid model-based adaptive control and the first-principles model-based adaptive control has been tested in a multi-zone building with four different zones. The results show that the proposed hybrid model-based adaptive control scheme can achieve obvious performance improvement in minimizing steady-state error. © 2022 IEEE.

The coarse pointing assembly (CPA), as the outer loop of the laser terminal, its tracking stability is the basis for ensuring laser communication. This paper presents the model of the CPA. Aiming at the disturbance factors in the low-speed operation process of the CPA, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) method for the position loop of the CPA is designed based on the generalized proportional integral observer (GPIO) to achieve disturbance compensation control. Finally, simulations are carried out on the system model. The simulation results show that compared with the PID control strategy adopted, the proposed ADRC strategy based on GPIO of the CPA can effectively improve the tracking accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Learning-based multi-view stereo (MVS) method heavily relies on feature matching, which requires distinctive and descriptive representations. An effective solution is to apply non-local feature aggregation, e.g., Transformer. Albeit useful, these techniques introduce heavy computation overheads for MVS. Each pixel densely attends to the whole image. In contrast, we propose to constrain nonlocal feature augmentation within a pair of lines: each point only attends the corresponding pair of epipolar lines. Our idea takes inspiration from the classic epipolar geometry, which shows that one point with different depth hypotheses will be projected to the epipolar line on the other view. This constraint reduces the 2D search space into the epipolar line in stereo matching. Similarly, this suggests that the matching of MVS is to distinguish a series of points lying on the same line. Inspired by this point-toline search, we devise a line-to-point non-local augmentation strategy. We first devise an optimized searching algorithm to split the 2D feature maps into epipolar line pairs. Then, an Epipolar Transformer (ET) performs non-local feature augmentation among epipolar line pairs. We incorporate the ET into a learning-based MVS baseline, named ET-MVSNet. ET-MVSNet achieves state-of-the-art reconstruction performance on both the DTU and Tanks-and-Temples benchmark with high efficiency. Code is available at https://***/TQTQliu/ET-MVSNet.

Simulation of open quantum systems is undoubtedly critical to design of quantum devices and applications of quantum technologies since dynamics of open quantum systems cannot be solved analytically in general. However, the dimension of open quantum systems grows exponentially as the number of their subsystems increases or as involving complicated environments, which reduces the computational efficiency of the simulation. In this paper, we boost numerical simulation of master equations of open quantum systems from several aspects with which the total time and the occupied memory in the simulation are significantly reduced without losing precision. Our method can be applied to the simulation of non-Markovian quantum systems described by an augmented system model as well. We conduct numerical experiments on simulation of a non-Markovian spin chain. Compared with the algorithm in a well-known toolbox, QuTiP, our method can take 26.3% time and less memory under fair conditions. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The utilization of impedance control is capable of achieving excellent force tracking performance. However, the balance between stability and flexibility is seldom considered in current methods. To address this issue, a novel adaptive variable impedance controller for contact force tracking is proposed in this study. Lyapunov theory is applied to develop an adaptive adjustment law of damping parameter in impedance control to enhance the robot's adaptability to uncertain environment and dynamic desired force. Additionally, a force compensator is designed based on direct adaptive control to expedite the response of force tracking. What sets this proposed method apart is that it does not require an accurate understanding of environmental parameters. Instead, it dynamically modifies the impedance parameters based on the force error to guarantee the stability and coordination of the system. Simulation results indicate that the proposed controller improves the flexibility and robustness of the force tracking capability of the robot system when compared to existing variable impedance control methods and effectively diminishes force overshoot. © 2023 IEEE.

Molecular representation learning is widely used in the field of drug discovery, due to its ability to accurately capture the complex features of compounds in high-dimensional space. However, existing molecular representation learning models are prone to be influenced by spurious parts during distribution shifts (also known as out-of-distribution, or OOD), which results in models mistakenly treating these spurious parts as crucial features of molecules, thereby limiting the generalization capability of the models. To tackle this issue, a novel invariant molecular representation learning model, called Causal Invariant Hierarchical Molecular Representation Graph Neural Networks (CHiMoGNN), is proposed for OOD molecular property prediction. In CHiMoGNN, a Feature Enhancement (FE) module is designed to leverage the multi-level molecular parts to enhance the expression of invariant features, thereby enhancing the model's capability to capture key molecular information. In addition, a Cartesian Product based Environmental Impact (EI) module is adopted to generate counterfactual samples with environmental diversity. Consequently, these samples are utilized to train a classifier that maintains consistent performance across various environments. Extensive experiments on seven real-world datasets demonstrate that CHiMoGNN outperforms 9 state-of-the-art models, achieving a 5.73% increase in average ROC-AUC, and the results also show that CHiMoGNN can effectively maintain generalization in various distribution shifts. The integration of renewable energy sources into the power grid has led to new challenges in maintaining the stability of the system frequency. This paper proposes a novel approach to address the Optimal Demand Side Frequency control (ODFC) problem using Multi-Agent Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (MADDPG) method. The proposed method models the ODFC problem as a Markov game, with centralized training based on multi-agent cooperative self-learning and associative storage service. In the decentralized execution stage, each agent independently outputs control actions to the controlled plant using local observations. Numerical simulations show that the proposed method effectively addresses the ODFC problem with superior performance compared to traditional methods.

Continual learning aims to learn on a sequence of new tasks while maintaining the performance on previous tasks. Source-free domain adaptation (SFDA), which adapts a pretrained source model to a target domain, is useful in protecting the source domain data privacy. Generalized SFDA (G-SFDA) combines continual learning and SFDA to achieve outstanding performance on both the source and the target domains. This paper proposes semi-supervised G-SFDA (SSG-SFDA) for domain incremental learning, where a pre-trained source model (instead of the source data), few labeled target data, and plenty of unlabeled target data, are available. The goal is to achieve good performance on all domains. To cope with domain-ID agnostic, SSG-SFDA trains a conditional variational auto-encoder (CVAE) for each domain to learn its feature distribution, and a domain discriminator using virtual shallow features generated by CVAE to estimate the domain ID. To cope with catastrophic forgetting, SSG-SFDA uses soft domain attention to improve the sparse domain attention in G-SFDA. To cope with insufficient labeled target data, SSG-SFDA uses MixMatch to augment the unlabeled target data and better exploit the few labeled target data. Experiments on three datasets demonstrated the effectiveness of SSG-SFDA.

Quantum trajectory can be viewed as a numerical simulation method for wavefunctions which consume smaller memories compared to density matrices in master equations. In this paper, we adopt quantum trajectory to simulate the evolution of a non-Markovian quantum system modeled by an augmented system and further use parallel computing to improve efficiency. Compared to the Lindblad master equation solver in QuTiP, it can run more efficiently using less memory. In the example of a 8-spin-chain non-Markovian system, it only takes about 0.57% of the memory footprint and 4.12% of the runtime of the solver for the Lindblad master equation. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

This paper focuses on the spatial registration algorithm under the earth-center earth-fixed(ECEF)coordinate system for multiple mobile *** sensor measurement biases are discussed with the attitude information of the platform into ***,the biased measurement model is ***,the maximum likelihood registration(MLR)algorithm is discussed to simultaneously estimate the measurement biases and the target ***,an improved online MLR(IMLR)algorithm is proposed through a sliding window of adaptive *** results demonstrate that the proposed IMLR algorithm effectively improves the realtime ability of the system and can approach similar estimation accuracy to the conventional MLR algorithm.
