The information technology has been recognized as one of the most important means to improve health care and curb its ever-increasing cost. However, existing efforts mainly focus on informatization of hospitals or medical institutions within organizations, and few are directly oriented to individuals. The strong demand for various health services from customers calls for the creation of powerful individual-oriented personalized health care service systems. Web service composition (WSC) and related technologies can greatly help one build such systems. This paper aims to present a newly developed platform called a Public oriented Health care Information service Platform (PHISP) and several novel WSC techniques that are used to build it. Among them include WSC techniques that can well support branch and parallel structures.

Behavior management and performance evaluation are two significant issues in the design and operation of automated manufacturing systems (AMS). The former constrains their dynamics so as to avoid improper behavior and eliminate downtime, while the latter aims to evaluate cycle time. Although abundant research has been conducted on each issue independently, researchers rarely address both in a correlative way. Without accurate and prompt guidance to route parts, it is difficult for an AMS to manage the production process in an optimal manner. In the paradigm of Petri nets, we show that it is crucial to optimize certain local priorities for the sake of cycle time minimization or throughput maximization. Without making radical changes to the system structure, our method can well design some control parameters in order to meet system performance requirement. An algorithm of polynomial complexity is presented to derive supervisory controllers, if existing, to improve system performance. © 2013 IEEE.

Most existing approaches of learning to rank treat the effectiveness of each query equally which results in a relatively lower ratio of queries with high effectiveness (i.e. rich queries) in the produced ranking model. Such ranking models need to be further optimized to increase the number of rich queries. In this paper, queries with different effectiveness are distinguished, and the queries with higher effectiveness are given higher weights. We modify the gradient in the LambdaMART algorithm based on a new perspective of Matthew effect to highlight the optimization of the rich queries and to produce the rich ranking model, and we present a consistency theorem for the modified optimization objective. Based on the effectiveness evaluation criteria for information retrieval, we introduce the Gini coefficient, mean-variance and quantity statistics to measure the performances of the ranking models. Experimental results show that the ranking models produced by the gradient-modified LambdaMART algorithm based on Matthew effect exhibit a stronger Matthew effect compared to the original LambdaMART algorithm. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2018.

The rise of cloud computing and the Internet not only bring change on the data center, but also lead to transformation in software development, deployment, operation and maintenance. With the continuous improvement of the current cloud computing and the internet environment, how to make better use of cloud computing platform, and how to serve the users is a popular field of computer software is a big challenge. In recent years, with the further development of concepts like micro-services and containers, software will further step forward to the Cloudware. This paper discusses how to deploy Cloudware in cloud environment, and proposes a new method to construct the PaaS platform which can directly deploy software on the cloud without any modification, while achieving a new model by the browser services. By using micro-service architecture, we achieving good performance of extension, scalable deployment, faults tolerance and flexible configuration. Finally, we evaluate this method by constructing a complete framework and carrying out an interactive delay experiment that directly focuses on users' experience, which also shows the effectiveness of this method.

To promote the application of DSP, a fast and accurate toolchain generation method must be realized. Unlike the traditional manual method, in this paper, we propose a toolchain generation algorithm based on the architecture description language, and migrate the toolchain to adapt to the specified processor architecture. The algorithm uses the DSP architecture description as input to generate intermediate expressions, then uses lexical analysis and syntax analysis tools to migrate the assembly toolchain. In addition, an integrated development environment is developed based on Eclipse, which creates a friendly human-computer interface. Experiments show that this toolchain generation algorithm runs fast and accurately, which solves problems of the development and application of the DSP toolchain, and creates favorable conditions for the promotion of DSP.

Internet finance fraud is an increasingly serious social and economic problem. Online payment services (OPSs) are the typical models of Internet finance, and the fraudulent transaction in OPSs is also a typical fraud pattern. The method of identifying fraudulent transactions by constructing a fraud detection model based on machine learning has become a promising idea for online payment anti-fraud. In the process of constructing fraud detection models, the feature engineering is the most critical step. It is also one of the most time-consuming and specialized steps in the relevant area. In the study of feature engineering, the existing online payment fraud detection models are mainly carried out by experts in the form of manual construction based on business knowledge. However, there are many fraud scenarios in OPSs where the process of feature construction is so different. Artificial feature construction methods can no longer meet the increasing demand of anti-fraud. An important way to solve this problem is to automate feature engineering. In the field of Internet financial anti-fraud, the expressibility and interpretability of features play a pivotal role. It is helpful to understand the original source fields and their construction process of important features. This is useful for mining and analyzing the characteristics of fraud methods and follow-up improvement rules engines. These are of great significance for fraud detection models. Therefore, the interpretability of the model method is particularly important. Usually, the optimization of detection accuracy is carried out under the premise of ensuring interpretability. This paper proposed a lightweight, tree-structure, high efficiency and scalable automatic feature engineering method for fraud detection of online payment. This work intends to schedule a dual-arm cluster tool for the atomic layer deposition (ALD) process with wafer residency time constraints. ALD is a typical wafer revisiting process. Based on the analysis of system properties, a novel scheduling strategy called modified 1-wafer cyclic scheduling is derived. With this strategy, necessary and sufficient schedulability conditions are established. If schedulable, scheduling algorithms are presented to obtain a feasible and optimal schedule. By the proposed method, a schedule can be found by just simple calculation. An illustrative example is given to show the application of the proposed approach. © 2013 IEEE.

Combination of classifiers leads to a substantial reduction of classification errors in a wide range of applications. Among them SVM ensembles with bagging have shown better performance in classification than a single SVM. However, the training process of SVM ensembles is notably computationally intensive especially when the number of replicated training datasets is large. This paper presents MRESVM, a MapReduce based distributed SVM ensemble algorithm for image annotation which re-samples the training dataset based on bootstrapping and trains SVM on each dataset in parallel using a cluster of computers. MRESVM is evaluated in a experimental environment and the results show that the MRESVM algorithm reduces the training time significantly while achieves high level of accuracy in classifications. © 2012 IEEE.

A new clustering strategy is proposed based on interval sets, which is an alternative formulation different from the ones used in the existing studies. Instead of using a single set as the representation of a cluster, each cluster is represented by an interval set that is defined by a pair of sets called the lower and upper bounds. Elements in the lower bound are typical elements of the cluster and elements between the upper and lower bounds are fringe elements of the cluster. A cluster is therefore more realistically characterized by a set of core elements and a set of boundary elements. Two types of interval set clusterings are proposed, one is non-overlapping lower bound interval set clustering and the other is overlapping lower bound interval set clusterings, corresponding to the standard partition based and covering based clusterings. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Masked Facial Expression refers to facial expression that people deliberately make which do not correspond to their true emotions. The purpose of masked facial expression is to conceal one's genuine feelings. Precisely identifying masked facial expression aids in revealing the genuine emotions, and finds applications in diagnosis of mental illness. However, the masked facial expression sequences have redundant information, temporal modeling is difficult, and the expressive ability of AU features needs to be improved. To solve the existing problems, we first propose a key frame Selection and Data Augmentation (KS-DA) method to obtain the key frame in the sequence. In addition, we propose a Global Feature Relation Block (GFR) to aggregate global information and combine it with Temporal Convolutional Networks (TCN) to better realize temporal modeling. Finally, we propose an Adaptive Weight Generation Module (Ada-WGM) to form different weights from adaptation, allowing for better extraction of the temporal changes in AU features. Finally, the experiments have shown that the proposed method has improved the mixed expression classification task (36 task) by 15.23% and the experienced emotions classification task (6E task) by 17.77%, respectively, and obtain sort results. © 2024 IEEE.
