In this paper, we investigate the cluster synchronization problem with unbounded time-varying delays for complex networks by adding some external controllers. Previous related works mainly focused on bounded time-varying or constant time delays, which may not be consistent with the real world. Therefore, unbounded time-varying delays is considered in this paper,which can be regarded as the main difference between this paper and previous related works. We discuss the necessary condition for cluster synchronization with external controllers, which can be used to guide the design of external controllers. Then, by using the Lyapunov function method, we prove that cluster synchronization could be achieved under some sufficient ***, the effects of time delays for the convergence of cluster synchronization are also discussed, which are named as theμ-cluster synchronization. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to show the validity of the obtained criteria.

In this paper, we investigate the synchronization problem for nonlinearly coupled networks under periodically intermittent pinning control, where the coupling matrix denoting network topology is assumed to be symmetric. A sufficient condition to guarantee global synchronization is presented. Moreover, a centralized adaptive intermittent control is designed and its validity is rigorously proved. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the correctness of obtained theoretical results.

For this network model, we investigate its finite-time synchronization by designing some general static and adaptive controllers respectively. Using the finite-time stability theory, some useful finite-time synchronization criteria are derived. The evolution of social network and multimedia technologies encourage more and more people to generate and upload visual information, which leads to the generation of large-scale video data. Therefore, preeminent compression technologies are highly desired to facilitate the storage and transmission of these tremendous video data for a wide variety of applications. In this paper, a systematic review of the recent advances for large-scale video compression (LSVC) is presented. Specifically, fast video coding algorithms and effective models to improve video compression efficiency are introduced in detail, since coding complexity and compression efficiency are two important factors to evaluate video coding approaches. Finally, the challenges and fu- ture research trends for LSVC are discussed.

A mobile robot is one of the well-known nonholonomic systems. The genetic fuzzy + PI path tracking control applied to a mobile robot is presented. The proposed controller composes of two fuzzy + PI controllers which are employed to control the angular velocity together, and one fuzzy + PI controller that is utilized to adjust the speed of mobile robot solely. Moreover, the fuzzy controller is designed to track reference path in approaching phase and PI controller is operated to diminish the tracking error in stable phase. In order to obtain better tracking performance, Genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize controller parameters. Finally, computer simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
