Location based services are the hottest applications on mobile device nowadays. Indoor wireless position is the key technology to enable location based service to work well indoors, where Global Position System normally couldn't work. The main tendency of indoor wireless position is based on Bluetooth and RSSI (radio signal strength indicator). RSSI is the key parameter for wireless position. But values of RSSI are affected by environment factors easily. Because of this reason, results got from the indoor location technology are usually imprecise and unacceptable. In this paper, an adaptive algorithm based on Distance-Loss model in complex environment is introduced to deal with such problems. The algorithm makes the model adapt to the environment by several parameters which are not influenced by environment. The stability and the accuracy of the algorithm is evidenced by a series of strict experiences.

Facial expression has made significant progress in recent years with many commercial systems are available for real-world applications. It gains strong interest to implement a facial expression system on a portable device such as tablet and smart phone device using the camera already integrated in the devices. It is very common to see face recognition phone unlocking app in new smart phones which are proven to be hassle free way to unlock a phone. Implementation a facial expression system in a smart phone would provide fun applications that can be used to measure the mood of the user in their daily life or as a tool for their daily monitoring of the motion in phycology studies. However, traditional facial expression algorithms are normally computing extensive and can only be implemented offline at a computer. In this paper, a novel automatic system has been proposed to recognize emotions from face images on a smart phone in real-time. In our system, the camera of the smart phone is used to capture the face image, BRIEF features are extracted and k-nearest neighbor algorithm is implemented for the classification. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed facial expression recognition on mobile phone is successful and it gives up to 89.5% recognition accuracy.

With the rapid expansion of data scale, big data mining and analysis have attracted increasing attention. Outlier detection as an important task of data mining is widely used in many applications. However, conventional outlier detection methods have difficulty handling large-scale datasets. In addition, most of them typically can only identify global outliers and are over sensitive to parameters variation. In this paper, we propose a novel method for robust local outlier detection with statistical parameters, which incorporates the clustering-based ideas in dealing with big data. Firstly, this method finds some density peaks of dataset by 3σ standard. Secondly, each remaining data object in the dataset is assigned to the same cluster as its nearest neighbor of higher density. Finally, we use Chebyshev's inequality and density peak reachability to identify local outliers of each group. The experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method in identifying both global and local outliers. Moreover, the method is also proved to be more stability analysis than typical outlier detection methods, such as LOF (Local Outlier Factor) and DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise).

Chronic pain is a disease that the patients suffers a lot in their daily life and it is difficult to be released completely. It is difficult to manage because pain can come anytime and it is unpredictable. However, the pain can be represented by the pain related behaviors such as guiding and abrupt actions. In this paper, we will develop a machine learning based system that can detect the pain related behaviors from patient's Electromyography (EMG) signals and body movements continuously. The system includes data collection, feature extraction, modeling and classification. The data were collected using biosensor sensor for EMG and motion capture for body movement. Specific features are extracted from the body movement data. Then Random Forest and a Two Stage Classification (TSC) scheme (KNN coupled with Hidden Markov Model (HMM)) were used for pain related behavior detection in a continuous manner. The proposed method was tested on Emo-Pain corpus dataset provided by UCL and experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) is a reliable and scalable data storage solution. However, it has great weakness in storage of the numerous small files. A merging method of small video files containing traffic incidents is proposed to improve the HDFS storage efficiency of small files. As traffic incident videos can be classified in terms of time and the crossroad where the incident happens, the proposed method merges video files together by time and region (usually adjacent crossroads). Indexing mechanism has been improved in later searching for small video files. The whole HDFS file block related to specific incidents will be read out to local cache. The experimental results show that when accessing for traffic incidents by region in certain period, the average search time and the memory load of HDFS NameNode will be effectively reduced. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

With the explosive growth of data information, the object-oriented storage system has been widely used. This paper proposed a metadata management strategy based on Distributed File System-Ceph in terms of event classification, taking advantage of the characteristics of data in urban traffic system. The large amount of data with a wide variety of sources and data types was first classified by machine learning, and a classification model was established. Then, improvements on load balancing were made to the existing Ceph Load Balancing Strategy of metadata partition. The metadata partitioning is to assign and migrate metadata obtained from the event classification model to the target server chosen by the fuzzy optimum method. Experimental results show that the proposed load balancing strategy based on event classification can not only make the overall load of the metadata servers in a relatively stable state but also make the migration times less than that of other algorithms. The extra overhead of the system is also reduced. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

With the rising of Cloud computing, evolution have occurred not only in datacenter, but also in software development, deployment, maintain and usage. How to build cloud platform for traditional software, and how to deliver cloud service to users are central research fields which will have a huge impact. In recent years, the development of microservice and container technology make software paradigm evolve towards Cloudware in cloud environment. Cloudware, which is based on service and supported by cloud platform, is an important method to cloudalize traditional software. It is also a significant way for software development, deployment, maintenance and usage in future cloud environment. Furthermore, it creates a completely new thought for software in cloud platform. In this paper, we proposed a new Cloudware PaaS platform based on microservice architecture and light weighted container technology. We can directly deploy traditional software which provides services to users by browser in this platform without any modification. By utilizing the microservice architecture, this platform has the characteristics of scalability, auto-deployment, disaster recovery and elastic configuration.

The rise of cloud computing and the Internet not only bring change on the data center, but also lead to transformation in software development, deployment, operation and maintenance. With the continuous improvement of the current cloud computing and the internet environment, how to make better use of cloud computing platform, and how to serve the users is a popular field of computer software is a big challenge. In recent years, with the further development of concepts like micro-services and containers, software will further step forward to the Cloudware. This paper discusses how to deploy Cloudware in cloud environment, and proposes a new method to construct the PaaS platform which can directly deploy software on the cloud without any modification, while achieving a new model by the browser services. By using micro-service architecture, we achieving good performance of extension, scalable deployment, faults tolerance and flexible configuration. Finally, we evaluate this method by constructing a complete framework and carrying out an interactive delay experiment that directly focuses on users' experience, which also shows the effectiveness of this method.

Web services are basic components constructing a flexible business process software. By composing multiple Web services, a complicated business process across organization and departments can be formed. This paper present a formal model of composable Web services: composed service process nets (CSPNs). Properties of Composable Web services are analyzed based on CSPNs. The relation between a CSPN and its corresponding Web service process subnets are discussed. The property analysis methods of CSPNs are come up with. A dynamic property of CSPNs can be determined based on static net structures by means of the proposed methods. © 2016 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.
