Three-dimensional geonet ecological slope protection technology and its engineering application

A protective structure system for slope with combination of vegetation and 3D geonet network was established. First the mechanism and ecological effects of slope protection with vegetation technology in slope engineering were discussed. Then specific implementation steps were proposed. Taking a slope ecological restoration project as an example, herbaceous plants suitable for slope protection were compared and tested, long term monitoring shows that the slope plants grow well, the protection effect of the new branches and roots were obvious, the stability of the slope was enhanced under comprehensive protection measures.

Field Test and Inspection of Large Area Hydraulic Sand Ground Improved by Vibro-compaction

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tanks have high requirements for the bearing capacity, settlement, resistance to liquefaction, and compactness of foundation. An LNG site about 500,000 m2 in the Middle East was hydraulic filled by trailing suction hopper dredger and cutter suction dredger, and it was improved by vibro-compaction. A filed test was carried out to optimize the key process parameters and inspection scheme. Field inspection methods included standard penetration test (SPT), cone penetration test (CPT), and zone load test (ZLT). The test results showed that the comprehensive inspection could be effectively inspected by CPT and SPT, the deformation modulus were back-calculated by ZLT and therefore the long-term settlement could be accurately predicted. The research can provide reference for the design, inspection and optimization of large area ground improved by vibro-compaction.

Effect of Dry-Wet Cycle on Stability of Granite Residual Soil Slope

The dry-wet cycle has a significant effect on the shear strength of the granite residual soil, which will affect the stability of the slope. A numerical model of the road cutting slope considering the strength change of the granite residual soil under conditions of dry-wet cycle was established. The numerical model was compared with the previous research results to obtain a good agreement, indicating the validity of the model established. Then several influence factors such as the number of cycles, initial cohesion, friction angle, initial slope angle, excavation slope angle and other factors are considered, and the parameter analysis of the stability development of the road cutting slope with the strength changes of the granite residual soil under dry and wet cycling conditions is considered. The research results show that the dry-wet cycle has a great impact on the stability of the road cutting slope of granite residual soil, which reduces the slope stability by about 10-30%. The conclusions of this paper provide a certain theoretical guidance for the design and application of the roadside slope engineering of granite residual soil.

Deformation Monitoring and Simulation Analysis of Deep foundation Excavation Construction for subway station

Based on the excavation of deep foundation pit near water for subway, retaining structure of the foundation pit and its deformation monitoring program were designed; in-situ monitoring data of the retaining structure deformation in the foundation pit were analyzed. The horizontal deformation of the retaining structure changing with the excavation depth and time were carried out. 3D finite element model was built to simulate the do construction process of the station foundation pit; FEM results and in-situ monitoring results of retaining structure deformation were compared. The results showed that: the retaining form with steel support and supporting pile had good limit to the lateral deformation of the foundation pit soil. The results calculated by FEM were consistent with the in-situ monitor results; according to monitoring data and the results of numerical simulation, the next deformation law and maximum deformation of the foundation pit excavation were predicted, which showed that foundation pit retaining structure design was reasonable and safety. The simulated results provide valuable reference for these similar engineering.

Human exposure to nano- and microplastics (NMPs) has raised major societal concerns, yet no framework to assess the risks of NMPs for human health exists. A substantial proportion of plastic produced worldwide is not properly disposed and persists in the environment for decades while degrading. Plastic degradation generates a size continuum of fragments, including nano- and microplastic particles, with numerous associated environmental pollutants and plastic additives, and microbial communities colonising their surfaces. The ubiquitous presence of NMPs, their availability for uptake by organisms and their potential to act as vectors for toxicants and pathogens render risk assessment a priority on the political agenda at the global level. We provide a new, fully integrated risk assessment framework tailored to the specificities of NMPs, enabling an assessment of current and future human health risks from NMPs. The framework consists of four novel paradigms to the traditional risk assessment methodology. These paradigms deal with techniques in NMP analysis, gaps in empirical data, theoretical and modelling approaches and stakeholder engagement. Within the proposed framework, we propose how we can use research experiences gained so far to carry out the different steps of the assessment process, and we define priorities for further research. © The Author(s) 2021.

Fungal diversity notes is one of the important journal series of fungal taxonomy that provide detailed descriptions and illustrations of new fungal taxa,as well as providing new information of fungal taxa *** article is the 11th contribution to the fungal diversity notes series,in which 126 taxa distributed in two phyla,six classes,24 orders and 55 families are described and *** in this study were mainly collected from Italy by Erio Camporesi and also collected from China,India and Thailand,as well as in some other European,North American and South American *** described in the present study include two new families,12 new genera,82 new species,five new combinations and 25 new records on new hosts and new geographical distributions as well as sexual-asexual *** two new families are Eriomycetaceae(Dothideomycetes,family incertae sedis)and Fasciatisporaceae(Xylariales,Sordariomycetes).The twelve new genera comprise Bhagirathimyces(Phaeosphaeriaceae),Camporesiomyces(Tubeufiaceae),Eriocamporesia(Cryphonectriaceae),Eriomyces(Eriomycetaceae),Neomonodictys(Pleurotheciaceae),Paraloratospora(Phaeosphaeriaceae),Paramonodictys(Parabambusicolaceae),Pseudoconlarium(Diaporthomycetidae,genus incertae sedis),Pseudomurilentithecium(Lentitheciaceae),Setoapiospora(Muyocopronaceae),Srinivasanomyces(Vibrisseaceae)and Xenoanthostomella(Xylariales,genera incertae sedis).The 82 new species comprise Acremonium chiangraiense,Adustochaete nivea,Angustimassarina camporesii,Bhagirathimyces himalayensis,Brunneoclavispora camporesii,Camarosporidiella camporesii,Camporesiomyces mali,Camposporium appendiculatum,Camposporium multiseptatum,Camposporium septatum,Canalisporium aquaticium,Clonostachys eriocamporesiana,Clonostachys eriocamporesii,Colletotrichum hederiicola,Coniochaeta vineae,Conioscypha verrucosa,Cortinarius ainsworthii,Cortinarius aurae,Cortinarius britannicus,Cortinarius heatherae,Cortinarius scoticus,Cortinarius subsaniosus,Cytospora fusispor
