Poverty has always been a global concern that has restricted human *** first goal(SDG 1)of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)is to eliminate all forms of poverty all over the *** establishment of a scientific and effective localized SDG 1 evaluation and monitoring method is the key to achieving SDG *** paper proposes SDG 1 China district and county-level localization evaluation method based on multi-source remote sensing data for the United Nations Sustainable Development *** temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of China's poverty areas and their SDG 1 evaluation values in 2012,2014,2016,and 2018 have been *** on the SDGs global indicator framework,this paper first constructed SDG 1 China's district and county localization indicator system and then extracted multidimensional feature factors from nighttime light images,land cover data,and digital elevation model ***,we establish SDG 1 China's localized partial least squares estimation model and SDG 1 China's localized machine learning estimation ***,we analyze and verify the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of China's poverty areas and counties and their SDG 1 evaluation *** results show that SDG 1 China's district and county localization indicator system proposed in this study and SDG 1 China's localized partial least squares estimation model can better reflect the poverty level of China's districts and *** estimated model R2 is 0.65,which can identify 72.77%of China's national poverty *** 2012 to 2018,the spatial distribution pattern of SDG evaluation values in China's districts and counties is that the SDG evaluation values gradually increase from western China to eastern *** addition,the average SDG 1 evaluation value of China's districts and counties increased by 23%from 2012 to *** paper is oriented to the United Nations SDGs frame-work,explores the SDG 1 localized evalu

Hybrid IT? Algorithm for Large-Scale Colored Traveling Salesman Problem

In the fields of intelligent transportation and multi-task cooperation, many practical problems can be modeled by colored traveling salesman problem(CTSP). When solving large-scale CTSP with a scale of more than 1000dimensions, their convergence speed and the quality of their solutions are limited. This paper proposes a new hybrid IT?(HIT?) algorithm, which integrates two new strategies, crossover operator and mutation strategy, into the standard IT?. In the iteration process of HIT?, the feasible solution of CTSP is represented by the double chromosome coding, and the random drift and wave operators are used to explore and develop new unknown regions. In this process, the drift operator is executed by the improved crossover operator, and the wave operator is performed by the optimized mutation strategy. Experiments show that HIT? is superior to the known comparison algorithms in terms of the quality solution.

All-optical anti-interference light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy gas sensor based on normalized harmonic demodulation

An all-optical anti-interference light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy (LITES) gas sensor is proposed for the first time. In this all-optical LITES gas sensor, the Fabry-Perot (F-P) sensing technology was applied to demodulate the vibration of quartz tuning fork (QTF), replacing the measurement of piezoelectric signal in traditional LITES sensors. To overcome the F-P detection instability caused by the environmental interference, the wavelength modulation spectroscopy with the second harmonic normalized by the first harmonic (WMS-2f/1f) demodulation method was adopted for F-P sensing. Acetylene (C2H2) was chosen as the target gas to verify the performance of the proposed sensor. Theoretical analyses and experimental validations demonstrated that this novel F-P-based WMS-2f/1f demodulation method is immune to the disturbance of excitation laser, probe laser, and F-P cavity length. Moreover, it exhibits excellent long-term stability with an improvement of over 60 times compared to traditional 2f demodulation. This all-optical anti-interference LITES gas sensor is expected to play an important role in remote and non-contact gas sensing. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Photoacoustic spectroscopy(PAS)as a highly sensitive and selective trace gas detection technique has extremely broad application in many ***,the laser sources currently used in PAS limit the sensing *** to diode laser and quantum cascade laser,the solid-state laser has the merits of high optical power,excellent beam quality,and wide tuning *** we present a long-wave,high-power,wide-tunable,singlelongitudinal-mode solid-state laser used as light source in a PAS sensor for trace gas *** self-built solid-state laser had an emission wavelength of~2μm with Tm:YAP crystal as the gain material,with an excellent wavelength and optical power stability as well as a high beam *** wide wavelength tuning range of 9.44 nm covers the absorption spectra of water and ammonia,with a maximum optical power of~130 mW,allowing dual gas detection with a single laser *** solid-state laser was used as light source in three different photoacoustic detection techniques:standard PAS with microphone,and external-and intra-cavity quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy(QEPAS),proving that solid-state laser is an attractive excitation source in photoacoustic spectroscopy.

Karst areas are usually dry due to the thin thickness of the soil, posing challenges to the local vegetation ecology such as soil erosion and water scarcity, resulting in sparser vegetation than in other areas, further contributing to ecological imbalances and affecting human societies. This paper investigates the changes of vegetation cover over 22 years for Guangxi, which has been biggest karst area in global. Based on MOD13Q1 remote sensing imagery data, we conducted an analysis of the spatiotemporal patterns of vegetation dynamics in Guangxi using NDVI index. Additionally, this study employed residual analysis to investigate the contributions of anthropogenic and natural factors on vegetation NDVI. The results indicate that, (1) from 2001 to 2022, the vegetation NDVI fluctuations have increased, with a gradual decrease in spatial distribution from the periphery to the center. (2) In most areas, vegetation NDVI has shown significantly improved conditions, accounting for 59% and 20% of the total area, respectively, while degraded areas constitute only 6%. (3) Residual analysis indicates that 88.5% of the regions are influenced jointly by climate and anthropogenic factors, with the latter's contribution predominating over the former, primarily concentrated in the southern regions of Guangxi. (4) Interaction detection revealed that the strongest effects were produced by interactions centered on land use, while the influence of interactions between temperature, precipitation, and slope is relatively small. These findings can provide data support for the green low-carbon transformation and the development of green productivity in Guangxi. © 2024 SPIE.

Conventional clustering algorithms suffer from misclassification problems caused by uneven density and poor initial parameter choices. This paper introduces an adaptive denoising algorithm called OriFlexClust, based on directional angle continuity. Experimental results demonstrate that the OriFlexClust algorithm outperforms other clustering algorithms, effectively addressing the issues of parameter selection and uneven data density. It enhances denoising accuracy and processing speed. Therefore, the OriFlexClust algorithm proposed in this paper is more superior. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this study,a ray tracing model based on the law of reflection in vector form was developed to obtain the design parameters of multipass cells(MPC)with dense spot *** MPCs with distinct patterns were obtained using an established mathematical *** MPC with a four-concentric-circle pattern exhibited the longest optical path length(OPL)of approximately 38 m and an optimal ratio of optical path length to volume(RLV)of 13.8 cm-2.A light-induced thermoelastic spectroscopy(LITES)-based methane(CH4)sensor was constructed for the first time using the developed optimal MPC and Raman fiber amplifier(RFA).A novel trapezoidal-tip quartz tuning fork(QTF)was used as the detector to further improve the sensing *** CH4-LITES sensor exhibited an excellent linear response to optical power and CH4 *** minimum detection limit(MDL)of the CH4-LITES sensor reached 322 ppb when the output optical power of the RFA was 350 *** Allan deviation of the system indicated that the MDL decreased to 59.5 ppb when the average time was increased to 100 s.

The Ice, Cloud, and Land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2), a satellite focused on changes in the heights of ice caps, clouds, and the land surface, provides valuable data resources for global Earth science research through its advanced laser altimetry technology. Since the ICESat-2 satellite transmits weak pulses that are susceptible to solar radiation and other factors, there is a large amount of noise in the data. In this paper, a new denoising model (ConvDS) is proposed. We use a combination of discrete convolution algorithms and cluster analysis algorithms to reduce the noise photon points under the ground to some extent. Comparing the ConvDS model with the other two methods, in steep terrain, the ConvDS model is 2.76% better than the improved DBSCAN algorithm and 1.48% better than the improved OPTICS algorithm. In hilly terrain, the denoising accuracy of the ConvDS model is 2.09% higher than the improved DBSCAN algorithm and 0.48% higher than the improved OPTICS algorithm. It can be concluded that the denoising effect of the ConvDS model is superior. © 2024 SPIE. All rights reserved.

Characterizing large deformation of soft rock tunnel using microseismic monitoring and numerical simulation

Surrounding rock deterioration and large deformation have always been a significant difficulty in designing and constructing tunnels in soft *** key lies in real-time perception and quantitative assessment of the damaged area around the *** in situ microseismic(MS)monitoring system is established in the plateau soft tock *** technique facilitates spatiotemporal monitoring of the rock mass's fracturing expansion and squeezing deformation,which agree well with field convergence deformation *** formation mechanisms of progressive failure evolution of soft rock tunnels were discussed and analyzed with MS data and numerical *** results demonstrate that:(1)Localized stress concentration and layered rock result in significant asymmetry in micro-fractures propagation in the tunnel radial *** excavation continues,the fracture extension area extends into the deep surrounding rockmass on the east side affected by the weak bedding;(2)Tunnel excavation and long-term deformation can induce tensile shear action on the rock mass,vertical tension fractures(account for 45%)exist in deep rockmass,which play a crucial role in controlling the macroscopic failure of surrounding rock;and(3)Based on the radiated MS energy,a three-dimensional model was created to visualize the damage zone of the tunnel surrounding *** model depicted varying degrees of damage,and three high damage zones were ***,the depth of high damage zone ranged from 4 m to 12 *** study may be a valuable reference for the warning and controlling of large deformations in similar projects.
