Scene flow represents the 3D motion of each point in the scene, which explicitly describes the distance and the direction of each point’s movement. Scene flow estimation is used in various applications such as autonomous driving fields, activity recognition, and virtual reality fields. As it is challenging to annotate scene flow with ground truth for real-world data, this leaves no real-world dataset available to provide a large amount of data with ground truth for scene flow estimation. Therefore, many works use synthesized data to pre-train their network and real-world LiDAR data to finetune. Unlike the previous unsupervised learning of scene flow in point clouds, we propose to use odometry information to assist the unsupervised learning of scene flow and use real-world LiDAR data to train our network. Supervised odometry provides more accurate shared cost volume for scene flow. In addition, the proposed network has mask-weighted warp layers to get a more accurate predicted point cloud. The warp operation means applying an estimated pose transformation or scene flow to a source point cloud to obtain a predicted point cloud and is the key to refining scene flow from coarse to fine. When performing warp operations, the points in different states use different weights for the pose transformation and scene flow transformation. We classify the states of points as static, dynamic, and occluded, where the static masks are used to divide static and dynamic points, and the occlusion masks are used to divide occluded points. The mask-weighted warp layer indicates that static masks and occlusion masks are used as weights when performing warp operations. Our designs are proved to be effective in ablation experiments. The experiment results show the promising prospect of an odometry-assisted unsupervised learning method for 3D scene flow in real-world data. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Learning from Untrimmed Videos: Self-Supervised Video Representation Learning with Hierarchical Consistency

Natural videos provide rich visual contents for self-supervised learning. Yet most existing approaches for learning spatio-temporal representations rely on manually trimmed videos, leading to limited diversity in visual patterns and limited performance gain. In this work, we aim to learn representations by leveraging more abundant information in untrimmed videos. To this end, we propose to learn a hierarchy of consistencies in videos, i.e., visual consistency and topical consistency, corresponding respectively to clip pairs that tend to be visually similar when separated by a short time span and share similar topics when separated by a long time span. Specifically, a hierarchical consistency learning framework HiCo is presented, where the visually consistent pairs are encouraged to have the same representation through contrastive learning, while the topically consistent pairs are coupled through a topical classifier that distinguishes whether they are topic-related. Further, we impose a gradual sampling algorithm for proposed hierarchical consistency learning, and demonstrate its theoretical superiority. Empirically, we show that not only HiCo can generate stronger representations on untrimmed videos, it also improves the representation quality when applied to trimmed videos. Digital creativity is creative expression derived from cultural creativity and information technology. In order to overcome the problem in the creative generation in the condition of fuzzy and uncertain ideas, an automatic generation method of cross-modal fuzzy creativity (AGMCFC) is proposed. In this subject, fuzzy creative data sets and learning retrieval network are constructed for the sake of extracting original creative data effectively. And the logical correlations between creative objects are acquired dynamically based on the graph neural network. Creative objects and creative styles are generated by using generative adversarial nets technology and style transfer technology, respectively. Then, the projectiles, boundary markers and location words of the creative scene objects are generated by analyzing related attributes of each entity. After adjusting the layout, creative works are automatically generated. A fuzzy creative generating environment is implemented. Experimental results show that the screened number of AGMCFC method is about twice as much as that of manual method, and the accuracy rate of AGMCFC method is improved compared with the manual method. This paper investigates the adaptive tracking control problem for active suspension system(ASS) with time-varying constraints via the neural network(NN) *** nonlinear terms in the spring and damper coefficients,input time delay of the actuator and the suspension performances are also considered *** NNs are used to approximate the unknown function caused by the uncertain car-body *** is known to all that ensuring the vertical displacement and speed states in the constraint regions can guarantee the stability and safety of the ***,by introducing the symmetric barrier lyapunov function from the time-varying constraints,an adaptive controller based on the NNs and nonlinear backstepping technique is developed to guarantee the states within *** the stability of the whole system,including the semi-global ultimately uniformly boundedness of the all signals of the ASSs,is analyzed by the Lyapunov stability ***,simulation results are provided to verify the feasibility of the adaptive learning controller.

Drug-disease association depicts the accessibility landscape of the association at the molecular level, thereby revealing the intermolecular reaction in the process of drug reposition. However, the scarcity of drug-disease association data often complicates the drug reposition. In this work, we present a method for predicting drug-disease association, which is called drug-disease association prediction via Gaussian interaction profile kernel and long short-term memory network (G-LSTM). G-LSTM combines a recurrent network framework with a Gaussian interaction profile kernel to learn underlying features that accurately characterize drug-disease-association data. We have verified G-LSTM models on the two benchmark datasets Fdataset and Cdataset, respectively. The experimental results show that the predictive performance was significantly improved, with AUC of 0.9527 and 0.9705, respectively. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Direct symbol decoding using GA-SVM in chaotic baseband wireless communication system

To retrieve the information from the serious distorted received signal is the key challenge of communication signal processing. The chaotic baseband communication promises theoretically to eliminate the inter-symbol interference (ISI), however, it needs complicated calculation, if it is not impossible. In this paper, a genetic algorithm support vector machine (GA-SVM) based symbol detection method is proposed for chaotic baseband wireless communication system (CBWCS), by this way, treating the problem from a different viewpoint, the symbol decoding process is converted to be a binary classification through GA-SVM model. A trained GA-SVM model is used to decode the symbols directly at the receiver, so as to improve the bit error rate (BER) performance of the CBWCS and simplify the symbol detection process by removing the channel identification and the threshold calculation process as compared to that using the calculated threshold to decode symbol in the traditional methods. The simulation results show that the proposed method has better BER performance in both the static and time-varying wireless channels. The experimental results, based on the wireless open-access research platform, indicate that the BER of the proposed GA-SVM based symbol detection approach is superior to the other counterparts under a practical wireless multipath channel. Rolling bearing is of vital significance in industrial applications and intelligent fault diagnosis (IFD) have been widely exploited in this field. However, cross-machine variations hinder the model performance across different machines in varying working conditions. To solve this issue, many unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) approaches have been proposed recently, requiring direct access to the fully labeled source domain. However, privacy concerns are raised in traditional UDA scenario, since raw signals contain various private information. To address this issue, the source-free unsupervised domain adaptation (SFUDA) scenario is considered, where only the pre-trained source model is required, instead of the fully labeled source domain. In this paper, a SFUDA approach for intelligent fault diagnosis (IFD) is proposed. It consists of two steps: 1) source model generalization, where virtual adversarial training, R-Drop and label smoothing techniques are adopted to improve the generalization ability of the source model; and 2) target model adaptation, where information maximization is used for cluster assumption and mean teacher training paradigm is utilized to alleviate the catastrophic forgetting phenomenon. The proposed approach is verified on the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) dataset. Experimental results on the show that the proposed SFUDA approach outperforms several typical UDA approaches, and its effectiveness is verified.

In this paper, the control issue of the semiconductor silicon monocrystalline growth process is studied through an event triggered model prediction approach. Firstly, a state-space model of silicon monocrystalline growth process is developed to describe the energy conversion and the dynamics and the geometry of the isodiametric stage silicon monocrystalline via the Czochralski method. Secondly, a small perturbation linearization is used to obtain a linear continuous model, which is translated into a linear discrete model under zero-order retainers. Finally, an event triggered model prediction controller is established to decrease the calculation of model prediction in the rolling optimization process. Based on experimental results, the event-triggered model prediction control algorithm is confirmed to be an effectively control scheme for the silicon monocrystalline growth process.

The heterogeneous system consisting of the wireless control system (WCS) and mobile agent system (MAS) is ubiquitous in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems. Within this system, the positions of mobile agents may lead to shadow fading on the wireless channel that the WCS is controlled over and can significantly compromise the WCS’s performance. This paper focuses on the controller design for the MAS to ensure the performance of WCS in the presence of WCS and MAS coupling. Firstly, the constrained finite field network (FFN) with profile-dependent switching topology is adopted to proceed the operational control for the MAS. By virtue of the algebraic state space representation (ASSR) method, an equivalent form is obtained for the WCS and MAS coupling. A necessary and sufficient condition in terms of constrained set stabilization is then established to ensure the Lyapunov-like performance with expected decay rate. Finally, a graphical method together with the breath-first searching is provided to design state feedback controllers for the MAS. With this method, it is easy to check the constrained set stabilization of MAS and to ensure the performance requirements of WCS in the presence of WCS and MAS coupling. The study of an illustrative example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Binary Representation via Jointly Personalized Sparse Hashing

Unsupervised hashing has attracted much attention for binary representation learning due to the requirement of economical storage and efficiency of binary codes. It aims to encode high-dimensional features in the Hamming space with similarity preservation between instances. However, most existing methods learn hash functions in manifold-based approaches. Those methods capture the local geometric structures (i.e., pairwise relationships) of data, and lack satisfactory performance in dealing with real-world scenarios that produce similar features (e.g. color and shape) with different semantic information. To address this challenge, in this work, we propose an effective unsupervised method, namely Jointly Personalized Sparse Hashing (JPSH), for binary representation learning. To be specific, firstly, we propose a novel personalized hashing module, i.e., Personalized Sparse Hashing (PSH). Different personalized subspaces are constructed to reflect category-specific attributes for different clusters, adaptively mapping instances within the same cluster to the same Hamming space. In addition, we deploy sparse constraints for different personalized subspaces to select important features. We also collect the strengths of the other clusters to build the PSH module with avoiding over-fitting. Then, to simultaneously preserve semantic and pairwise similarities in our proposed JPSH, we incorporate the proposed PSH and manifold-based hash learning into the seamless formulation. As such, JPSH not only distinguishes the instances from different clusters, but also preserves local neighborhood structures within the cluster. Finally, an alternating optimization algorithm is adopted to iteratively capture analytical solutions of the JPSH model. We apply the proposed representation learning algorithm JPSH to the similarity search task.
