Accurate prediction and effective control are the key to reducing the impact of landslide disasters. In practice, most of recent studies focus on landslide displacement prediction and control. In this paper, we propose a new control method based on the level prediction of landslide evolution state, namely down-level control. The core components are level predictor and interval predictor in this method. Specially, we first transform the traditional displacement regression prediction problem into a level classification prediction problem by labeling discrete category information for landslide sample points. Then the level predictor based on Multi-task learning-Stacked long-short time memory network (MTL-SLSTM) is established to predict the state of the landslide and judge whether the system needs to be controlled. Finally, we design a safe rainfall interval predictor based on bootstrap method to obtain the safe value of control variation. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified on Baishuihe and Shiliushubao landslides. The results show the proposed down-level control method is valid and more intuitive.

Decentralized coordination between economic dispatch and demand response in multi-energy systems

In this paper, we investigate the problem of coordination between economic dispatch (ED) and demand response (DR) in multi-energy systems (MESs), aiming to improve the economic utility and reduce the waste of energy in MESs. Since multiple energy sources are coupled through energy hubs (EHs), the supply-demand constraints are nonconvex. To deal with this issue, we propose a linearization method to transform the coordination problem to a convex social welfare optimization one. Then a decentralized algorithm based on parallel Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) and dynamic average tracking protocol is developed, where each agent could only make decisions based on information from their neighbors. Moreover, by using variational inequality and Lyapunov-based techniques, we show that our algorithm could always converge to the global optimal solution. Finally, a case study on the modified IEEE 14-bus network verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of our algorithm. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Based on fully actuated system approach, this paper proposes a design scheme for integrated guidance and control systems subject to actuator saturation. By elimination elevation-order way, the integrated guidance and control model in the pitch channel is transformed into a high-order fully actuated system with uncertain disturbances and actuator saturation. Firstly, a disturbance observer is constructed to estimate the disturbances generated by model nonlinearities, unknown target maneuvers, variations of aerodynamic parameters, etc. Then, an observer-based fully actuated controller is designed to stabilize the integrated guidance and control system and perform disturbance attenuation. Since the missile’s deflection angle for pitch control is constrained by actuator saturation, an anti-windup compensator is introduced into the designed fully actuated controller to reduce the negative impact of saturation. Moreover, the stability conditions of the closed-loop system are established by the Lyapunov stability theory and the invariant set principle. Finally, a numerical simulation is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed design scheme.

Feature Pyramid Networks (FPN) is a popular feature extraction. However, FPN and its variants do not investigate the influence of resolution information and semantic information in the object detection. Thus, FPN and its variants cannot detect some objects on challenging images. In this paper, based on FPN, we propose to use gaussian kernel function to assign different weight values to semantic information and resolution information for different images in the object detection. The proposed method, is called a Weighted Feature Pyramid Network (WFPN), and shows significant improvement over the traditional feature pyramids in several applications. Using WFPN in Faster R-CNN system, the proposed method achieves better performance on the PASCAL detection benchmark.

The two areas of picture languages and membrane computing were linked by array-rewriting P system in which array objects and context-free array-rewriting rules are used in order to generate picture languages. While rewriting arrays in the array-rewriting P system is in a sequential manner, parallel array P system (PAP) involves rewriting of arrays in the regions in parallel in order to generate picture languages. A variant of PAP, known as tabled array P system (TPAP), uses sets of context-free array-rewriting rules, called tables of rules. Fast signal recovery from saturated measurements by linear loss and nonconvex penalties

Sign information is the key to overcoming the inevitable saturation error in compressive sensing systems, which causes information loss and results in bias. For sparse signal recovery from saturation, we propose to use a linear loss to improve the effectiveness from existing methods that utilize hard constraints/hinge loss for sign consistency. Due to the use of linear loss, an analytical solution in the update progress is obtained, and some nonconvex penalties are applicable, e.g., the minimax concave penalty, the 0 norm, and the sorted 1 norm. Theoretical analysis reveals that the estimation error can still be bounded. Generally, with linear loss and nonconvex penalties, the recovery performance is significantly improved, and the computational time is largely saved, which is verified by the numerical experiments. In this paper, a novel unified channel model framework is proposed for cooperative multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless channels. The proposed model framework is generic and adaptable to multiple cooperative MIMO scenarios by simply adjusting key model parameters. Based on the proposed model framework and using a typical cooperative MIMO communication environment as an example, we derive a novel geometry-based stochastic model (GBSM) applicable to multiple wireless propagation scenarios. The proposed GBSM is the first cooperative MIMO channel model that has the ability to investigate the impact of the local scattering density (LSD) on channel characteristics. From the derived GBSM, the corresponding multi-link spatial correlation functions are derived and numerically analyzed in detail.

This paper analyzes the capacity of the finite scatterer (FS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel model with finite angular resolution. The rank of the channel is bounded by not only the number of antennas but also the finite angular resolution of antenna arrays. The probability mass function (PMF) of rank is studied and derived based on the Stirling number of the second kind. As a result, the closed-form expression of the capacity of a FS MIMO channel model is obtained. Furthermore, asymptotic analyses such as the large-scale system analysis, infinite scatterer analysis, and the multiplexing gain analysis are investigated.

Fire is a serious disaster that endangers life and property worldwide. Accurate and prompt fire detection can provide early warning information for firefighting efforts. Deep learning-based object detection algorithms have proven to be useful in the field of fire detection. However, fire detection is a particularly challenging task, due to the low-resolution of fire images and the presence of blurring and deformation in the targets. Existing fire detection methods are limited by poor detection accuracy and slow speed in complex fire scenarios. To address these challenges, we propose a fire detection algorithm based on improved YOLOv5s. Firstly, the attention module is embedded into the network structure. We introduce this attention module into the last layer of the backbone to enhance feature extraction ability. Secondly, we modify the Neck structure to fully fuse different feature maps. Through fusing extra low-level features from the backbone, it utilizes various receptive fields to enhance the expression of feature. Thirdly, SIoU is introduced to achieve faster convergence during the training. SIoU take into account the direction of the mismatch to redefine penalty indicators. The experimental results show that our proposed algorithm outperforms commonly used models. Even compared to specific fire detectors, our model exhibits certain advantages.

Dezert-smarandache theory (DSmT) was extended with fuzzy theory by considering the different Fuzzy T-norm operators, in order to develop a more general and flexible combinational rule for more extensive application. At the same time, fuzzy-extended DSmT was applied to mobile robot's sensing environment with the help of new self-localization method based on δ neighboring field appearance matching and also the perception effect was compared with different T-norm operators. Finally, an effective approach to solv sensing fusion of uncertainty environment was found.
