Webshell, as the"culprit" behind numerous network attacks, is one of the research hotspots in the field of cybersecurity. However, the complexity, stealthiness, and confusing nature of webshells pose significant challenges to the corresponding detection schemes. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, researchers have started to apply different intelligent algorithms and neural network architectures to the task of webshell detection. However, the related research still lacks a systematic and standardized methodological process, which is confusing and redundant. Therefore, following the development timeline, we carefully summarize the progress of relevant research in this field, dividing it into three stages: Start Stage, Initial Development Stage, and In-depth Development Stage. We further elaborate on the main characteristics and core algorithms of each stage. In addition, we analyze the pain points and challenges that still exist in this field and predict the future development trend of this field from our point of view. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first review that details the research related to AI-based webshell detection. It is also hoped that this paper can provide detailed technical information for more researchers interested in AI-based webshell detection tasks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Face recognition is one of typical biometric identification method, which has a great prospect in secure authentication system, file management, human-computer interaction and social security. This paper proposes gray-scale characteristics and creates facial templates to recognize faces method based on a given number of samples. Firstly, it selects the method of building template according to the number of samples to create the facial template image; then, it will compare the difference of first-order edge entropy between recognition image and the template image and find the best match result; finally, the recognition result is output. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has good recognition effect on face recognition under non-constraint conditions.

With the advancement of image authoring software, the traces of image tampering operation have become increasingly difficult to detect. To enhance the performance of manipulation detection, we propose a novel end-to-end image tampering detection method using the attention mechanism and two-stream Faster R-CNN. In our model, we eliminate steganalysis rich model (SRM) filter, which suppresses image content, and employ a constrained convolution layer to adaptively extract image tamper features during model training. These features are then inputted into the backbone network in parallel with the RGB image. To emphasize image tamper features and restrict irrelevant features, we introduce the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) into the model, enabling better delivery of tamper-related information. Then, the output of backbone network is fed into the Region of Interest (RoI), where we replace max pooling operation with bilinear interpolation. This modification allows the model to retain more tamper information. After that, we use bilinear pooling for feature fusion of the two streams, and the fused results perform tamper classification operations. The RGB stream through Region Proposal Network (RPN) to achieve tamper localization. We evaluate our model on three publicly available standard image tampering datasets and demonstrate through experiments that our approach significantly improves the precision of manipulation detection and localization. © 2023, International Association of Engineers. In sentiment analysis, polarity shifting means shifting the polarity of a sentiment clue that expresses emotion, evaluation, etc. Compared with other natural language processing (NLP) tasks, extracting polarity shifting patterns from corpora is a challenging one because the methods used to shift polarity are flexible, which often invalidates fully automatic approaches. In this study, which aimed to extract polarity shifting patterns that inverted, attenuated, or canceled polarity, we used a semi-automatic approach based on sequence mining. This approach greatly reduced the cost of human annotating, while covering as many frequent polarity shifting patterns as possible. We tested this approach on different domain corpora and in different settings. Three types of experiments were performed and the experimental results were analyzed, which will be reported in this paper.

Research and application of Transformer based anomaly detection model: A literature review

Transformer, as one of the most advanced neural network models in Natural Language processing (NLP), exhibits diverse applications in the field of anomaly detection. To inspire research on Transformer-based anomaly detection, this review offers a fresh perspective on the concept of anomaly detection. We explore the current challenges of anomaly detection and provide detailed insights into the operating principles of Transformer and its variants in anomaly detection tasks. Additionally, we delineate various application scenarios for Transformer-based anomaly detection models and discuss the datasets and evaluation metrics employed. Furthermore, this review highlights the key challenges in Transformer-based anomaly detection research and conducts a comprehensive analysis of future research trends in this domain. The review includes an extensive compilation of over 100 core references related to Transformer-based anomaly detection. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first comprehensive review that focuses on the research related to Transformer in the context of anomaly detection. We hope that this paper can provide detailed technical information to researchers interested in Transformer-based anomaly detection tasks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Energy costs associated with the consumption of non-renewable energy sources have become an important issue in improving the international competitiveness of agriculture. Wind power, as a renewable energy source, can replace non-renewable energy sources to reduce energy costs and improve the sustainability of agricultural. However, the inherent intermittency, randomness, and volatility within weather conditions and wind speed presents a substantial challenge in accurately predicting wind power generation. This work proposes a novel YJQR-LSTM algorithm that leverages Yeo-Johnson quantile regression (YJQR) with a long short-term memory (LSTM) network for nonparametric probabilistic forecasting of wind power generation via the intelligent Internet of Things. First, an improved YJQR model based on the YJ transformation is designed to obtain a more precise characterization of wind uncertainty, providing a more flexible probability density function for wind power generation. Then, utilizing the unique structure of the LSTM network to learn the parameters of the YJQR model, temporal features can be extracted from time series data. To mitigate the impact of outliers in the raw data on accuracy and improve computational efficiency, a novel logarithmic likelihood function is developed as the loss function utilized in the training phase. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated using a real-world dataset from five wind farms from the Global Energy Forecasting Competition. Numerical results demonstrate that the algorithm provides more accurate wind power prediction results in complex wind power data environments, which is important for making full use of wind energy and thus reducing the consumption of non-renewable energy in agriculture. © 2024 IEEE.

The nonlocal waveguide coupling of giant atoms can bring up novel physics and applications. In this paper, we find unconventional electromagnetically induced transparency in giant atoms that has not been reported so far. We present a consistent theory for describing the unconventional EIT which includes a real-space scattering method and a time-delayed master equation. Our analysis shows this phenomenon is a full quantum effect led by a quantized interaction between the atom and the waveguide. Our theory shows that it can be observed when the time delay between two neighboring coupling points is comparable to the relaxation time of the atom. This phenomenon results from the inherent nonlocality of the giant atom, which physically forces propagating fields to be standing waves in space and the atom exhibiting retardations in time.

A new type of rehabilitation robot that can follow the user side-by-side is designed for aiding the elderly and disabled. The Human Following Rehabilitation Robot (HFRR) consists of a metal armrest, a set of sensors and a differential mobile base. By predicting the user's speed in the future through the user's current walking speed and the preset path, the problem of human following side-by-side is converted to a problem of keeping a certain lateral distance from the predicted trajectory. Linearizing the tracking error model, the nonholonomic mobile robot (NMR) can maintain a certain lateral distance from the trajectory by using Model Predictive control (MPC) and then follow the user side-by-side. The simulation and experimental results show the proposed controller can obtain good performance in this problem.

Scaling properties of scale-free networks in degree-thresholding renormalization flows

We study the statistical properties of observables of scale-free networks in the degree-thresholding renormalization (DTR) flows. For BA scale-free networks with different sizes, we find that their structural and dynamical observables have similar scaling behavior in the DTR flow. The finite-size scaling analysis confirms this view and reveals a scaling function with a single scaling exponent that collectively captures the changes of these observables. Furthermore, for the scale-free network with a single initial size, we use its DTR snapshots as the original networks in the DTR flows, then perform a similar finite-size scaling analysis. Interestingly, the initial network and its snapshots share the same scaling exponent as the BA synthetic network. Our findings have important guiding significance for analyzing the structure and dynamic behavior of large-scale networks. Such as, in large-scale simulation scenarios with high time complexity, the DTR snapshot could serve as a substitute or guide for the initial network and then quickly explore the scaling behavior of initial networks. © 2021, CC BY.

Emotion Recognition in Conversation (ERC) has attracted widespread attention in the natural language processing field due to its enormous potential for practical applications. Existing ERC methods face challenges in achieving generalization to diverse scenarios due to insufficient modeling of context, ambiguous capture of dialogue relationships and overfitting in speaker modeling. In this work, we present a Hybrid Continuous Attributive Network (HCAN) to address these issues in the perspective of emotional continuation and emotional attribution. Specifically, HCAN adopts a hybrid recurrent and attention-based module to model global emotion continuity. Then a novel Emotional Attribution Encoding (EAE) is proposed to model intra- and inter-emotional attribution for each utterance. Moreover, aiming to enhance the robustness of the model in speaker modeling and improve its performance in different scenarios, A comprehensive loss function emotional cognitive loss LEC is proposed to alleviate emotional drift and overcome the overfitting of the model to speaker modeling. Our model achieves state-of-the-art performance on three datasets, demonstrating the superiority of our work. Another extensive comparative experiments and ablation studies on three benchmarks are conducted to provided evidence to support the efficacy of each module. Further exploration of generalization ability experiments shows the plug- and-play nature of the EAE module in our method. © 2023, CC BY-SA.
