This paper proposes a novel two-level electricity and hydrogen market framework for multi-microgrids (MMGs) coupled with offsite hydrogen refueling stations (HRSs), aiming to strengthen the synergy between electricity and hydrogen. The local hydrogen market among the MMG and HRSs is modeled by multi-leader multi-follower Stackelberg game theory, in which microgrids play the role of leaders to adjust hydrogen prices while HRSs participate as followers to determine their hydrogen purchase scheme. Moreover, to deal with economic and technical issues of the MMG in a holistic manner, Nash bargaining theory is used to model the electricity transaction among microgrids. A distributed algorithm is developed to solve such games, thus reducing the cost of information communication and the risk of privacy exposure. The case study demonstrates that this market mechanism guarantees benefits for all parties and boosts the independence of MMGs by reducing transactions with the main grid.

Spatial public goods games on any population structure

Understanding the emergence of cooperation in spatially structured populations has advanced significantly in the context of pairwise games, but the fundamental theory of group-based public goods games (PGGs) remains less explored. Here, we provide theoretical conditions under which cooperation thrive in spatial PGGs on any population structure, which are accurate under weak selection. We find that PGGs can support cooperation across all kinds of model details and on almost all network structures in contrast to pairwise games. For example, a class of networks that would otherwise fail to produce cooperation, such as star graphs, are particularly conducive to cooperation in spatial PGGs. This fundamental advantage of spatial PGGs derives from reciprocity through second-order interactions, allowing local structures such as the clustering coefficient to play positive roles. We also verify the robustness of spatial PGGs on empirical networks where pairwise games cannot support cooperation, which implies that PGGs could be a universal interaction mode in real-world systems. © 2024, CC BY.

We study the problem of inference attack in distributed optimization, with adversarial agents aiming to obtain the sensitive information of some critical agent in a network. Different from existing privacy-preserving and resilient distributed optimization algorithms, we propose inference algorithms from the perspective of launching well-designed attacks to help infer sensitive local information. The key idea is that by utilizing the critical agent’s neighborhood information and the predefined update protocol, adversarial agents can not only interpolate the gradient of its local objective function, but also manipulate it to converge to its own local minimizer. The proposed algorithms can thus obtain approximations of the gradient or the minimizer of the local objective of this critical agent. We characterize the performance through interpolation errors, as well as distances to the optimal value and optimal point of the local objective. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness of these algorithms.

GEM: Context-Aware Gaze EstiMation with Visual Search Behavior Matching for Chest Radiograph

Gaze estimation is pivotal in human scene comprehension tasks, particularly in medical diagnostic analysis. Eye-tracking technology facilitates the recording of physicians’ ocular movements during image interpretation, thereby elucidating their visual attention patterns and information-processing strategies. In this paper, we initially define the context-aware gaze estimation problem in medical radiology report settings. To understand the attention allocation and cognitive behavior of radiologists during the medical image interpretation process, we propose a context-aware Gaze EstiMation (GEM) network that utilizes eye gaze data collected from radiologists to simulate their visual search behavior patterns throughout the image interpretation process. It consists of a context-awareness module, visual behavior graph construction, and visual behavior matching. Within the context-awareness module, we achieve intricate multimodal registration by establishing connections between medical reports and images. Subsequently, for a more accurate simulation of genuine visual search behavior patterns, we introduce a visual behavior graph structure, capturing such behavior through high-order relationships (edges) between gaze points (nodes). To maintain the authenticity of visual behavior, we devise a visual behavior-matching approach, adjusting the high-order relationships between them by matching the graph constructed from real and estimated gaze points. Extensive experiments on four publicly available datasets demonstrate the superiority of GEM over existing methods and its strong generalizability, which also provides a new direction for the effective utilization of diverse modalities in medical image interpretation and enhances the interpretability of models in the field of medical imaging. https://***/Tiger-SN/GEM. The hydrogen gas turbine can be the key technology for carbon-neutral in the future. The flexibility of gas turbine under various operation conditions is an important issue. A state-space model of hydrogen gas turbine with different hydrogen volume ratio mixed fuel is constructed based on Rowen model, and a full-dimensional state observer is designed to obtain the states of state-space model. The model predictive control method based on amplitude decaying aggregation strategy is presented to stabilize the rotational speed of hydrogen gas turbine under various constraints, which are to ensure the safety of operation. The number of variables contained in the optimization problem to be solved online is reduced by aggregation strategy. The simulation results confirmed that the presented method works well, and the effects of the hydrogen volume ratio for the performance of hydrogen gas turbine are discussed.

Generic object detection has made great progress in recent years, yet small object detection is still facing a serious problem of missed detection. The problem is caused by two reasons: low resolution in small targets and feature loss during deep convolution downsampling. Some previous studies used feature pyramid structures and multi-scale training predictions to alleviate this problem, but still cannot efficiently utilise the feature information of small targets. In this paper, firstly we propose a novel and effective feature enhancement module to extract more features; secondly, a filter size design method is presented to extract features of matching objects and incorporate context information; finally, an adaptive fusion method is used to process outputs of our module and improve model robustness. We select YOLOv3 as base model and carry out several experiments on a special Small Object Dataset and the results show that our work can achieve an increase of about seven percentage points (35.73%) compared to 28.78% on baseline.

To improve the interactivity of 3D virtual sand table displays, an industrial park 3D virtual sand table display system based on augmented reality is designed. The system consists of multiple modules. The design of the animation browsing module is based on the roaming walking model environment. The walking and roaming module can enable participants to experience the real visual and tactile virtual space in the process of input browsing. In the surrounding environment and traffic condition module, the surrounding environment and traffic condition display are created by means of static pictures and picture buttons. The VRML scene space module is responsible for creating objects such as VRML viewpoints. Scenario module transformation completes event transmission through routing. The virtual sand table VRML optimization modeling module is responsible for constructing the virtual sand table VRML model. The function of the multiperson collaboration module is to provide collaboration capability for plotting and discussion functions. In the multiuser detection module, yolov2 is used for multiuser detection. The augmented reality hardware module is mainly composed of computers and hololens. Through the combination of hardware and software, a three-dimensional virtual sand table display of an industrial park is realized. The test results show that the performance of the designed system is good and can meet the design requirements. © 2021 IEEE.

Efficient and accurate wind power prediction is crucial for enhancing the reliability and safety of power system operation and management. The integration of advanced data-driven forecasting methods with precise and efficient data feature decomposition and extraction techniques is necessary to improve the accuracy of wind power generation prediction, due to the inherent randomness and nonlinearity of physical states impacting wind power output, as well as the abundance of redundant information in their original measurement data. This paper proposes a novel hybrid wind power prediction model based on seasonal feature decomposition of wind energy data and enhanced feature extraction. Recognizing fault types of machinery system is a fundamental but challenging task in industrial application. Although remarkable progress has been attained by learning fault features and predicting the corresponded fault type with deep neural networks, the existing fault diagnosis pipelines usually learn non-discriminative information. Contextual sequence dependency between the localized time fragments is often ignored. To deal with these problem, a recurrent attention framework with reinforcement learning is proposed to find a series of informative features of local time fragments related to different faults in an iterative manner. Fault labels are further predicted on these time fragments. The proposed framework also explicitly models long-term dependencies among these attentional time fragments to capture historical fault information. Experiments on two typical machinery systems, bearing system and hydraulic system, show that the proposed framework achieves superior diagnosis performance and increases no computation burden on CPU. © 2024, The Authors. Anomaly detection has been widely explored by training an out-of-distribution detector with only normal data. Medical image analysis, as a common tool, faces the challenge of how to further enhance the detection performance for thyroid cancer, especially with the application of various deep learning methods in the thyroid-related field. In this paper, we validate the effectiveness of sonographic feature descriptions (textual information) for thyroid cancer diagnosis. Building on this, we propose a simple multimodal self-supervised framework that leverages both textual and image modalities for thyroid cancer anomaly detection. Results on a private dataset demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed method compared to advanced methods.
