The development of the Industrial Internet of Things (1IoT) has given rise to massive information from the networked controllers, sensors and actuators, leading to the increasing demands for real-time and reliable transmission. Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) provides the deterministic mechanism guar-antee for these demands, but with an open scheduling problem. For the low-latency and low-jitter traffic, it is hard to schedule in a scalable way, that is, increasing the scheduling speed under the Quality-of-Service (QoS) requirements. Therefore, this paper constructs a no-wait forwarding (NW-TAS) model with a time-aware shaper to eliminate the queuing delay and jitter, and further converts it into a flow-aware model by divisibility theory for scheduling simplification. With the converted model, an interval transformation-based method is proposed to get the analytical expression of feasible scheduling for each flow. Then, a flow-aware NW- TAS scheduling algorithm (FANS) with cyclic interval searching is designed to compress invalid search spaces. The evaluation results show that our method decreases the transmission latency of 1000 flows by more than 23 % while increasing the scheduling speed by 43x than the existing works.

As the largest class of small non-coding RNAs, piRNAs primarily present in the reproductive cells of mammals, which influence post-transcriptional processes of mRNAs in multiple ways. Effective methods for predicting piRNA and mRNA target relationships can help identify piRNA functions, investigate the possibility of piRNAs as biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this study, we propose a computational approach for classifying the relationships of piRNA-mRNA pairs based on an interactive inference network (IIN). First, we gather piRNA-mRNA target data, collect sequence data by position alignment, and construct a benchmark dataset. Furthermore, a reliable negative set is constructed by positive-unlabeled learning. Finally, we view a piRNA and a mRNA sequence as a premise and hypothesis sentence, respectively, and IIN model is used to predict the relationship between them. The experiments demonstrate that our method effectively characterizes piRNA-mRNA interaction and could be beneficial for researchers to investigate piRNA functions.

Crowd counting has important applications in public safety and pandemic control.A robust and practical crowd counting system has to be capable of continuously learning with the newly incoming domain data in real-world scenarios instead of fitting one domain ***-the-shelf methods have some drawbacks when handling multiple domains:(1)the models will achieve limited performance(even drop dramatically)among old domains after training images from new domains due to the discrepancies in intrinsic data distributions from various domains,which is called catastrophic forgetting;(2)the well-trained model in a specific domain achieves imperfect performance among other unseen domains because of domain shift;(3)it leads to linearly increasing storage overhead,either mixing all the data for training or simply training dozens of separate models for different domains when new ones are *** overcome these issues,we investigate a new crowd counting task in incremental domain training setting called lifelong crowd *** goal is to alleviate catastrophic forgetting and improve the generalization ability using a single model updated by the incremental ***,we propose a self-distillation learning framework as a benchmark(forget less,count better,or FLCB)for lifelong crowd counting,which helps the model leverage previous meaningful knowledge in a sustainable manner for better crowd counting to mitigate the forgetting when new data arrive.A new quantitative metric,normalized Backward Transfer(nBwT),is developed to evaluate the forgetting degree of the model in the lifelong learning *** experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed benchmark in achieving a low catastrophic forgetting degree and strong generalization ability.

Blind super-resolution (SR) requires not only estimating blur kernel, but also super-resolving low-resolution image based on estimated blur kernel. Most blind SR methods use convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for kernel estimation, which cannot exploit long-range dependency within image domain, thus failing to predict blur kernel accurately. To address this issue, we propose a network combining CNN and transformer named NCCT for kernel estimation. By modeling local and non-local image priors simultaneously, NCCT outperforms other blind SR methods in terms of kernel estimation accuracy. Moreover, we design a network module named RRFDB for constructing lightweight blind SR network, which runs faster and achieves comparative SR performance with fewer parameters compared with other state-of-the-art blind SR methods.

Endobronchial intervention is increasingly used as a minimally invasive means for the treatment of pulmonary diseases. In order to reduce the difficulty of manipulation in complex airway networks, robust lumen detection is essential for intraoperative guidance. However, these methods are sensitive to visual artifacts which are inevitable during the surgery. In this work, a cross domain feature interaction (CDFI) network is proposed to extract the structural features of lumens, as well as to provide artifact cues to characterize the visual features. To effectively extract the structural and artifact features, the Quadruple Feature Constraints (QFC) module is designed to constrain the intrinsic connections of samples with various imaging-quality. Furthermore, we design a Guided Feature Fusion (GFF) module to supervise the model for adaptive feature fusion based on different types of artifacts. Results show that the features extracted by the proposed method can preserve the structural information of lumen in the presence of large visual variations, bringing much-improved lumen detection accuracy.

Colorectal cancer is a common malignancy. In colonoscopy images, computer-assisted polyp segmentation helps doctors diagnose and treat disorders more precisely. In recent years, some methods based on deep convolutional neural networks have made significant breakthroughs in this task. However, only a few algorithms explicitly consider the effect of light intensity on segmentation performance, which results in algorithms needing to be more robust for complex samples. This paper proposes a neural network combining a simple encoding structure with a reverse attention module. Specifically, the model uses HarDNet68 as the backbone network, adds a camouflage identification module (CIM) to enhance the capture of polyp details on the underlying features, and finally utilizes adaptive feature fusion with the reverse attention module (RAM). The proposed model effectively addresses the challenge of poor segmentation quality in colonoscopy images caused by inconsistent illumination. Extensive experiments on five datasets show that the proposed model performs well in polyp segmentation.

Remote sensing image change captioning (RSICC) is a novel task that aims to describe the differences between bitemporal images by natural language. Previous methods ignore a significant specificity of the task: the difficulty of RSICC is different for unchanged and changed image pairs. They process the unchanged and changed image pairs in a coupled way, which usually causes confusion for change captioning. In this paper, we decouple the task into two issues to ease it: whether and what changes have occurred. An image-level classifier performs binary classification to address the first issue. A feature-level encoder contributes to extracting discriminative features to help the caption generation module address the second issue. Besides, for caption generation, we utilize prompt learning to introduce pre-trained large language models (LLMs) into the RSICC task. A multi-prompt learning strategy is proposed to generate a set of unified prompts and a class-specific prompt conditioned on the image-level classifier’s results. The strategy can prompt a pre-trained LLM to know whether changes exist and generate captions. Finally, the multiple prompts and the visual features of the feature-level encoder are fed into a frozen LLM for language generation. Compared with previous methods, our method can leverage the powerful abilities of the pre-trained LLM in language to generate plausible captions, which is free of training. Extensive experiments show that our method is effective and achieves state-of-the-art performance. Besides, an additional experiment demonstrates that our decoupling paradigm is more promising than the previous coupled paradigm for the RSICC task. Accurate liver tumor segmentation is crucial for aiding radiologists in hepatocellular carcinoma evaluation and surgical planning. While convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been successful in medical image segmentation, they face challenges in capturing long-term dependencies among pixels. On the other hand, Transformer-based models demand a high number of parameters and involve significant computational costs. To address these issues, we propose the Spatial and Spectral-learning Double-branched Aggregation Network (S2DA-Net) for liver tumor segmentation. S2DA-Net consists of a double-branched encoder and a decoder with a Group Multi-Head Cross-Attention Aggregation (GMCA) module, Two branches in the encoder consist of a Fourier Spectral-learning Multi-scale Fusion (FSMF) branch and a Multi-axis Aggregation Hadamard Attention (MAHA) branch. The FSMF branch employs a Fourier-based network to learn amplitude and phase information, capturing richer features and detailed information without introducing an excessive number of parameters. The FSMF branch utilizes a Fourier-based network to capture amplitude and phase information, enriching features without introducing excessive parameters. The MAHA branch incorporates spatial information, enhancing discriminative features while minimizing computational costs. In the decoding path, a GMCA module extracts local information and establishes long-term dependencies, improving localization capabilities by amalgamating features from diverse branches. Experimental results on the public LiTS2017 liver tumor datasets show that the proposed segmentation model achieves significant improvements compared to the state-of-the-art methods, obtaining dice per case (DPC) 69.4 % and global dice (DG) 80.0 % for liver tumor segmentation on the LiTS2017 dataset. Meanwhile, the pre-trained model based on the LiTS2017 datasets obtain, DPC 73.4 % and an DG 82.2 % on the 3DIRCADb dataset. © 2024

Chromatographic separation is an indispensable and efficiency technology in the manufacturing process of chemical products and biomedicine. Simulated moving bed (SMB) is a kind of process that can increase the efficiency of adsorbents in the adsorbent bed. SMB system contains several sectors of flow rate, the switching time of valves and other possible influencing variables, Because of its complexity;it is very difficult to achieve precise prediction and control. The software on the market is basically used for specific materials, and the parameters are set manually, so it is impossible to control and adjust the process. This paper firstly digitalization the simulation process, then analysis sensitivity of regional flow velocity on export concentration, on this basis, the rule of fuzzy control is established.
