Grid-following inverters remain the primary interface for modern renewable energy systems due to their strong power output performance. As the global demand for clean and efficient energy conversion increases, optimizing the stability of inverter systems is crucial for integrating renewable sources into the power grid. In certain energy conversion scenarios, current sensors are placed on the inverter side due to equipment constraints and space limitations, which can impact the stability of the inverter. Although the stability of inverter-side current feedback (ICF) configurations has been studied, methods to further enhance their stability remain underexplored. In this paper, the stability of ICF grid-following inverters is analyzed using a passivity-based design approach, focusing on a point of common coupling voltage controller. The proposed controller is thoroughly analyzed, and a detailed design strategy is presented to ensure stability under varying grid impedance conditions. Experimental results validate the theoretical analysis, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed design in enhancing the stability of ICF grid-following inverters. These advancements contribute to improving energy conversion efficiency and reliability. © 2025 IEEE.

GITANet: Group Interactive Threshold-based Attention Network for Hyperspectral image Classification

Group convolution networks have shown great potential in hyperspectral image (HSI) classification because of their ability to divide total spectral bands into multiple groups and focus on fine discrimination within different spectral ranges. Most group convolution networks process parallel spectral groups independently;however, they neglect the important relevance of nearby spectral ranges. Moreover, the feature maps from different spectral groups are not considered for recalibration in the existing attention. To address these issues, we propose a novel group interactive threshold attention network (GITANet). In the network, a stratified-split-concatenation strategy, which not only splits all bands into multiple groups for intragroup convolution but also propagates the intergroup information via the stratified concatenation operation between different groups, is designed for bandwise group convolution. Relying on the high dependencies among nearby spectra, the cross-group interactive attention block is designed to encourage significant spectral features. Subsequently, from different spectral ranges, a learnable threshold generation block is built to estimate the information validity of each pixel. On the basis of this threshold, soft threshold spatial attention is developed in the bandwise encoderdecoder architecture, which emphasizes high-value spatial areas during the fusion of group convolutional features. Therefore, complementary and discriminative spectral-spatial features are obtained to improve the performance of HSI classification. The experimental results on three HSI datasets illustrate that GITANet is superior to several state-of-the-art networks. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

Sandwich-structured flexible strain sensors for gesture recognition in human–computer interaction

Flexible strain sensors are crucial for advancing human–computer interaction (HCI) technologies, especially in applications that require precise and adaptive sensing capabilities. In this study, we use polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as the substrate material to construct sandwich-structured flexible strain sensors, incorporating a CNT/PDMS conductive polymer (CP) layer between two cross-positioned PDMS-transferred laser-induced graphene (LIG) strips (PL). The sandwich-structured PL/CP/PL sensor exhibits excellent flexibility, structural stability, and component compatibility, effectively enabling the detection of tensile, compressive, and bending strains while overcoming the limitations of single-layer strain sensors and facilitating the measurement of two-dimensional directional forces. Leveraging these capabilities, we apply the sensor to sign language recognition and develop a gesture-based HCI system that utilizes Morse and binary codes to enable intuitive, intelligent communication with the sensors. This advancement holds significant potential to enhance user experience and operational efficiency in virtual reality environments, coded communications systems, and robotics.

Multi-domain fake news detection method based on generative adversarial network and graph network

The proliferation of misinformation in today's digital era poses significant challenges, with fake news detection becoming critical to mitigate economic losses and social instability. Despite extensive research efforts, most existing approaches are tailored for single-domain fake news detection, struggling with data distribution discrepancies and domain shifts when applied to multi-domain scenarios. This limitation underscores the urgent need for solutions that address the complexities of cross-domain detection. Here, we propose a novel framework MFGAG that synergistically integrates adversarial networks and graph neural networks with emotional, stylistic, and semantic features to enable precise domain localization. By leveraging these features, the framework effectively models intricate relationships among news articles within the same temporal context, addressing the challenges posed by multi-domain datasets. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods, achieving an average accuracy improvement of 3.3 percentage points for single-domain news and nearly 1 percentage point for mixed-domain data, culminating in an overall accuracy of 93.1 %. Two-dimensional (2-D) array sets with good 2-D correlation properties have received considerable attention in wireless communication systems. This paper focuses on 2-D Z-complementary array code sets (ZCACSs), which have ideal 2-D correlation properties within a rectangular zone around the origin. By developing a theory linking 2-D extended Boolean functions with 2-D arrays, we establish an efficient construction of 2-D ZCACSs. In contrast to previous work, the proposed construction is capable of producing 2-D ZCACSs with new flexible parameters. Constructions of three-dimensional (3-D) and higher-dimensional ZCACSs are further investigated. We remark that 2-D and higher-dimensional complete complementary codes (CCCs) can also be generated from the proposed constructions. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Boosting polyp screening with improved point-teacher weakly semi-supervised

Polyps, like a silent time bomb in the gut, are always lurking and can explode into deadly colorectal cancer at any time. Many methods are attempted to maximize the early detection of colon polyps by screening, however, there are still face some challenges: (i) the scarcity of per-pixel annotation data and clinical features such as the blurred boundary and low contrast of polyps result in poor performance. (ii) existing weakly semi-supervised methods directly using pseudo-labels to supervise student tend to ignore the value brought by intermediate features in the teacher. To adapt the point-prompt teacher model to the challenging scenarios of complex medical images and limited annotation data, we creatively leverage the diverse inductive biases of CNN and Transformer to extract robust and complementary representation of polyp features (boundary and context). At the same time, a novel designed teacher–student intermediate feature distillation method is introduced rather than just using pseudo-labels to guide student learning. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our proposed method effectively handles scenarios with limited annotations and exhibits good segmentation performance. Adaptive Homophily Clustering: Structure Homophily Graph Learning with Adaptive Filter for Hyperspectral image

Hyperspectral image (HSI) clustering has been a fundamental but challenging task with zero training labels. Currently, some deep graph clustering methods have been successfully explored for HSI due to their outstanding performance in effective spatial structural information encoding. Nevertheless, insufficient structural information utilization, poor feature presentation ability, and weak graph update capability limit their performance. Thus, in this paper, a homophily structure graph learning with an adaptive filter clustering method (AHSGC) for HSI is proposed. Specifically, homogeneous region generation is first developed for HSI processing and constructing the original graph. Afterward, an adaptive filter graph encoder is designed to adaptively capture the high and low frequency features on the graph for subsequence processing. Then, a graph embedding clustering self-training decoder is developed with KL Divergence, with which the pseudo-label is generated for network training. Meanwhile, homophily-enhanced structure learning is introduced to update the graph according to the clustering task, in which the orient correlation estimation is adopted to estimate the node connection, and graph edge sparsification is designed to adjust the edges in the graph dynamically. Finally, a joint network optimization is introduced to achieve network self-training and update the graph. The K-means is adopted to express the latent features. Extensive experiments and repeated comparative analysis have verified that our AHSGC contains high clustering accuracy, low computational complexity, and strong robustness. The detection and recognition of student behavior play a pivotal role in the context of smart classrooms. However, conventional methods often encounter performance degradation due to challenges such as occlusion, data diversity, and complexity. To effectively addresses these issues, we propose a method that integrates YOLOv5 with coordinate attention mechanism and GhostConv for analyzing students' behavior. Specifically, the coordinate attention module enhances the localization ability of the proposed method by addressing problems related to target scale variations and uneven distribution. Additionally, we employ GhostConv to replace conventional convolutional layers in YOLOv5, reducing parameters while improving computational efficiency. To verify the validity of our method, a self-built challenging dataset for real teaching scenarios and Citypersons dataset are selected for the experiment. In comparison to the original YOLOv5, our method has achieved a 14.8% and 5.7% increase in mean average precision rates, with a 19.0% improvement in frames per second. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Prediction of transmission spectrum from photonic energy band via autoencoder network

Optical topological insulators, as an emerging type of photonic material, present substantial benefits for optical communication. The advanced pattern recognition capabilities of deep learning have propelled the inverse design of topological photonic structures into a hot area of research. However, existing methods encounter difficulties with the analysis of intricate band structures. Therefore, we construct a deep learning model capable of handling two-dimensional data of photonic energy band. Utilizing an autoencoder network, our model indirectly trains the photonic energy band and transmission spectrum, by converting them into feature coding. It integrates a transmission spectrum autoencoder and a photonic energy band autoencoder, processing energy band data to predict the corresponding transmission spectrum. The results indicate that compared to convolutional neural network (CNN), our model can accurately predict transmission spectrum, and perform better on both evaluation metrics of RMSE and R2. This work enhances prediction accuracy by leveraging energy band diagrams to constrain optical properties. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

Unleashing Correlation and Continuity for Hyperspectral Reconstruction from RGB images

Reconstructing Hyperspectral images (HSI) from RGB images can yield high spatial resolution HSI at a lower cost, demonstrating significant application potential. This paper reveals that local correlation and global continuity of the spectral characteristics are crucial for HSI reconstruction tasks. Therefore, we fully explore these inter-spectral relationships and propose a Correlation and Continuity Network (CCNet) for HSI reconstruction from RGB images. For the correlation of local spectrum, we introduce the Group-wise Spectral Correlation Modeling (GrSCM) module, which efficiently establishes spectral band similarity within a localized range. For the continuity of global spectrum, we design the Neighborhood-wise Spectral Continuity Modeling (NeSCM) module, which employs memory units to recursively model the progressive variation characteristics at the global level. In order to explore the inherent complementarity of these two modules, we design the Patch-wise Adaptive Fusion (PAF) module to efficiently integrate global continuity features into the spectral features in a patch-wise adaptive manner. These innovations enhance the quality of reconstructed HSI. We perform comprehensive comparison and ablation experiments on the mainstream datasets NTIRE2022 and NTIRE2020 for the spectral reconstruction task.
