Aviation electrical connectors are critically important components in electrical wiring interconnection systems. Currently, connector defect detection relies entirely on manual inspection, which is error-prone and time-consuming. Due to the unique structural characteristics of aviation connectors, single-modality sensors often struggle to simultaneously detect both pins and holes. To address this issue, we propose a 3D skewed pins detection (3D-SPD) algorithm that integrates both 2D and 3D modals features. Due to the low quality of the raw connector data, we propose a connector point cloud enhancement (CPCE) algorithm that combines multi-view point clouds for point cloud fusion enhancement. Based on enhanced data, we perform skewed pin detection. Experimental results indicate that CPCE and 3D-SPD are effective in detecting skewed pins, achieving an accuracy rate exceeding 99%. Our algorithm can be deployed as an AI assistant on the edge device for the skewed pin detection. © 2024 IEEE.

Dentists judge the quality of root canal therapy for each patient very time-consuming, and inefficient, lack of quantitative evaluation criteria, easy to cause judgment errors. At the same time, the traditional method of extracting the root canal image features based on experience is difficult to accurately extract the filling area of the root canal and the tooth area where it is located, resulting in low accuracy of root canal target segmentation, and thus affecting the accuracy of root canal treatment quality evaluation. In this paper, for the real root canal treatment images of patients, the CenterNet network was used to detect the root canal target of root canal images. Then, according to the test results, the U-Net full convolution neural network was used to segment the root canal filling region and its tooth region. Finally, the segmented images were quantitatively evaluated according to the professional evaluation index of doctors. The experimental results show that the coincidence rate between the evaluation results of this method and the evaluation results of professional doctors is 83.3 %, which can better complete the quality evaluation of root canal therapy for patients, effectively improve the work efficiency of doctors, and has reference significance for the application of artificial intelligence in medical field. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes a novel uncertainty-aware energy management framework for Multi-energy Microgrid (MEMG), which comprehensively comprises electricity, heat, natural gas, hydrogen, and ammonia. In particular, green ammonia is produced from hydrogen, which is derived from electrolysis powered by renewable energy. The proposed framework seamlessly integrates day-ahead optimal scheduling with data-driven model predictive control. To offer a just-in-time resilience to uncertainties of renewable energy and load, we further develop event-triggered online learning distributionally robust model predictive control (ET-OLDRMPC). Specifically, an event trigger mechanism is designed to enable the controller to intelligently switch between certainty-equivalence and distributionally robust schemes as per their respective advantageous regimes, thereby ensuring operation safety while mitigating unnecessary conservatism. For the distributionally robust scheme, we leverage a nonparametric Bayesian model to construct online ambiguity sets of uncertainty distributions, which encode statistical multimodality and local moment information. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is validated in a case study. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched LQR *** particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value *** method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing *** numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Reentry trajectory optimization is a multi-constraints optimal control problem which is hard to solve. To tackle it, we proposed a new algorithm named CDEN(Constrained Differential Evolution Newton-Raphson Algorithm) based on Differential Evolution(DE) and *** transform the infinite dimensional optimal control problem to parameter optimization which is finite dimensional by discretize control parameter. In order to simplify the problem, we figure out the control parameter's scope by process constraints. To handle constraints, we proposed a parameterless constraints handle process. Through comprehensive analyze the problem, we use a new algorithm integrated by DE and Newton-Raphson to solve it. It is validated by a reentry vehicle X-33, simulation results indicated that the algorithm is effective and robust.

This paper proposes an efficient model named Light YOLO for hand gesture recognition on the embedded platforms. Light YOLO improves accuracy, speed, and model size, in three aspects. To deal with the small scale gestures in practical applications, we strengthen the YOLOv2 with a spatial refinement module to obtain fine-grained features. To accelerate the refined network, we propose a selective-dropout channel pruning approach to prune the redundancy convolution kernels in the network. Moreover, we introduce a dataset for hand gesture recognition in complex scenes. The experimental results on this dataset show that the proposed Light YOLO significantly improve the YOLOv2 network, i.e., accuracy from 96.80% to 98.06%, speed form 40PFS to 125FPS, and size form 250M to 4MB.

Vehicle re-identification has become a fundamental task because of the growing explosion in the use of surveillance cameras in public security. The most widely used solution is based on license plate verification. But when facing the vehicle without a license, deck cars and other license plate information error or missing situation, vehicle searching is still a challenging problem. This paper proposed a vehicle re-identification method based on deep learning which exploit a two-branch Multi-DNN Fusion Siamese Neural Network (MFSNN) to fuses the classification outputs of color, model and pasted marks on the windshield and map them into a Euclidean space where distance can be directly used to measure the similarity of arbitrary two vehicles. In order to achieve this goal, we present a method of vehicle color identification based on Alex net, a method of vehicle model identification based on VGG net, a method of pasted marks detection and identification based on Faster R-CNN. We evaluate our MFSNN method on VehicleID dataset and in the experiment. Experiment results show that our method can achieve promising results.

The problem about cluster synchronization of fractional-order CDNs is studied via a pinning adaptive approach in this paper. Based on the stability theory of fractional differential equations, some sufficient criteria for local and global cluster synchronization of fractional-order CDNs are derived. In this paper, the coupling configuration matrix can be asymmetric as well as reducible and the inner coupling matrix can also be asymmetric. Moreover, the number of pinning nodes in each cluster can be evaluated. Especially, when the coupling strength is large enough and the coupling configuration matrix is symmetric, cluster synchronization can be achieved via pinning a single node in each cluster. Finally, some typical examples are given to illustrate the correctness and effectiveness of our results, a surprising finding is that the synchronization performance will become better as the fractional order decreases in this simulation.

Large-scale multiobjective optimization problems (LSMOPs) exist widely in real-world applications, and they are challenging for existing evolutionary algorithms due to their massive volume of search space. Despite that a number of large-scale multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (LSMOEAs) have been proposed in recent years, their effectiveness in solving LSMOPs remains unsatisfactory. One main reason is that most existing LSMOEAs may fail to balance convergence enhancement and diversity maintenance, especially for solving real-world problems. To address this issue, we propose to use a hybridized LSMOEA with adaptive operator selection (AOS) to handle real-world LSMOPs. Specifically, the proposed hybridized LSMOEA with AOS (AOS-LSMOEA) includes multiple different offspring generation and environmental selection strategies extracted from some existing LSMOEAs. Then it uses the AOS to adaptively determine the application rates of different offspring generation and environmental selection operators in an online manner. The proposed approach is capable of taking advantage of existing LSMOEAs, and the AOS enables the algorithm to choose suitable operators for solving different LSMOPs. In this study, the proposed algorithm is expected to solve the voltage transformer ratio error estimation (TREE) problems effectively. Experimental results show that AOS-LSMOEA achieves significant performance improvement due to the hybridization of different operators and the adoption of AOS method. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Recent methods based on mid-level visual concepts have shown promising capability in human action recognition field. Automatically discovering semantic entities such as parts for an action class remains challenging. In this paper, we focus on discovering distinctive action parts for recognition of human actions by learning and selecting a small number of discriminative part detectors directly from training videos. We initially train a large collection of candidate Exemplar-LDA detectors from clusters obtained by clustering spatiotemporal patches in whitened space. A novel Coverage-Entropy curve is proposed as a means of measuring the representative and discriminative capabilities of part detectors, and used to select a set of compact and meaningful detectors out of the vast candidates. By integrating these mined detectors into "bag of parts" representation, our approach demonstrates state-of-the-art performance on the UCF50 dataset.
