In human-robot systems, ensuring user safety amidst external disturbances remains paramount. An efficient variable impedance control (VIC) technique is designed to enhance human-robot interaction, particularly in scenarios with external force disturbances. By dynamically adapting impedance parameters in response to detected changes in contact force, VIC achieves heightened system flexibility. The robust stability of the VIC system is rigorously established using the Lyapunov approach, with a parameter update law tailored for a lower limb supernumerary robotic limb robot. Through simulations and experiments, the efficacy of the system in maintaining a specific safety margin is demonstrated. Moreover, the technique offers a pragmatic solution to accommodate individual variations in walking gait and cross-user disparities in interaction. The proposed method contributes to advancing the safety and adaptability of cross-user human-robot systems.

Sensitive data leakage has become an urgent problem to be solved as more images based functionalities are being developed in vehicles. However, there is a scarcity of evaluation for on-board videos data desensitization. This research analyzes on-board video desensitization process including the image pre-processing stage, sensitive area localization stage and sensitive area desensitization stage. Considering that, this paper presents several evaluation methods and metrics of sensitive target detection performance, privacy-utility evaluation of video file metadata and image, so as to provide reference for the related research on the desensitization evaluation of on-board video. © 2024 IEEE.

Deep learning-based methods have shown their wide application prospects in the field of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)***,the irrationality of the prediction object and the lack of prediction accuracy have hindered the progress of the prediction methods for SOFC ***,two algorithms are proposed in this study,a feature selection algorithm based on maximum information coefficient and Bayesian information criterion for identifying key variables that are sensitive to changes in the SOFC system,and a prediction model based on a genetic algorithm optimized for sequence to sequence *** M/BIC algorithm reduces the number of features by 62.5%(from 40 to 15),which contributes to the acceleration of the algorithm training and the subsequent sensor layout *** prediction model incorporates a two-dimensional convolutional neural network and a multi-head attention mechanism to capture more information in the input sequence,an encoder-decoder architecture and a Gated recurrent unit to better predict performance *** with real experimental data show significant changes in feature dimensionality reduction and prediction accuracy.

Microgrids possess the ability to use renewable energy efficiently and play an increasingly significant role in environmental protection and sustainable development. Meanwhile, reversible solid oxide fuel cell(rSOC) is currently a new type of energy conversion and storage. Combining with microgrid systems is a great way to benefit from its high capacity, high efficiency, and cleanliness. However, r SOC's complex system of coupled heat, electricity, and gas presents a significant challenge in finding energy management strategies for microgrid applications containing rSOC. In this study, for a microgrid system combining rSOC, battery energy storage system(BESS), solar photovoltaic(PV), and wind turbine generator(WTG), we propose a model-based energy management strategy that simultaneously takes into account the economy of the microgrid system and the stability of the rSOC system. First of all, the microgrid is modeled with great detail, including the wind turbine, solar panels, battery storage system, and rSOC. In addition, the microgrid energy management problem is framed as a mathematical programming problem, with the attention focusing on the costs of BESS aging and operational energy loss of rSOC. In particular,this study also proposes a penalty strategy to reduce the power fluctuation amplitude of the rSOC system and reduce the mode switching frequency of the rSOC system. Using the solver, solving for each device's target power in a microgrid. The actual power operating curve is output by tracking the target power under slope constraints using the Simulink model. We then conduct a case study using data from Wuhan, china. Our research shows that compared with the control strategy based on rule control,the control strategy proposed in this study can reduce the power variation amplitude of the rSOC system by 79%, reduce the mode switching frequency by 85%, reduce the system operating cost by 4.5% and increase the energy self-sufficiency rate by9%.

It is an important task to estimate a 3D bounding box from monocular images for autonomous driving. However, the monocular pictures do not have distance information, so it is difficult to acquire accurate results. For the sake of solving the trouble of low accuracy of the monocular image in 3D target detection because of lacking distance information, an improved monocular three-dimensional target detection algorithm based on GUPNet and neural network was proposed to promote the precision of target detection. First, based on the geometric method proposed by GUPNet, the depth, and uncertainty are obtained by direct regression using a neural network. According to the difference in the accuracy of the two methods, a parameter α was introduced, and their depth scores are obtained from the uncertainty. According to the depth score and parameter α, the depth obtained by the two methods is fused to get the final depth. Test results prove that the proposed algorithm promotes average detection precision of KITTI data set in simple, medium, and difficult cases. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A nitrogen oxide sensor that can accurately and quickly detect the content of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas plays a key role in the treatment of automotive exhaust gas. Due to the characteristics of gas diffusion and chamber structure, nitrogen oxide sensors are difficult to achieve high-precision and fast measurement due to strong coupling. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a decoupling control strategy for nitrogen oxide sensors. On the one hand, the strategy uses fuzzy feedforward compensation, and on the other hand, it uses PID control based on particle swarm optimization to achieve control. This not only eliminates the coupling between loops, but also improves the control accuracy. The analysis shows that the design of the decoupling control strategy for nitrogen oxide sensors proposed in this paper is feasible, which allows the nitrogen oxide sensors to work in a stable and reliable state.

RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are essential for gene expression, and the complex RNA-protein interaction mechanisms require analysis of global RNA information. Therefore, accurate prediction of RBP binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts is crucial for understanding these mechanisms and their roles in diseases. While machine learning methods can predict RBP binding to RNA fragments, extending this to full-length transcripts presents challenges due to sequence length and data imbalance. In this paper, we introduce RBP-Former, a binding site joint prediction model designed specifically for full-length RNA transcripts that can be used for multiple RBPs. This model processes information at both coarse and fine-grained levels to fully exploit sequence data and its interactions with multiple RBPs. We develop multi-level imbalance learning strategies, achieving favorable results on imbalanced data. Our method outperforms existing methods in predicting binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts for multiple RBPs, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling imbalanced label and sample distributions.

With the rapid advancement of remote sensing technology, the acquisition and processing of remote sensing video data, including high-resolution satellite, hyperspectral, and SAR video, have become key research areas in remote sensing. As a crucial branch of video analysis, remote sensing video tracking enables continuous monitoring and dynamic analysis of ground targets, with widespread applications in military operations, disaster monitoring, environmental protection, and urban management. This review systematically examines the current state of remote sensing video tracking research, exploring the technological advancements of traditional and modern methods, including model-based approaches, feature-based approaches, and deep learning-based methods. The work also examines evaluation metrics and benchmark testing methodologies in remote sensing video tracking. Finally, this review highlights ten unresolved challenges in the field and offers insights into the future of next-generation artificial intelligence technologies. Through a comprehensive overview and in-depth analysis of existing technologies, this work aims to provide researchers with a systematic reference, promoting further development and innovation in remote sensing video tracking. © 2008-2012 IEEE.

Smoke detection plays a crucial role in the safety production of petrochemical enterprises and fire prevention. image-based machine learning and deep learning methods have been widely studied. Recently, many works have applied the transformer to solve problems faced by computer vision tasks (such as classification and object detection). To our knowledge, there are few studies using the transformer structure to detect smoke. In order to research the application potential and improve the performance of the transformer in the smoke detection field, we propose a model consisting of two transformer encoders and a convolutional neural network (CNN) module. The first transformer encoder can be used to establish the global relationship of an image, and the CNN structure can provide additional local information to the transformer. The fusion of global information and local information is conducive to the second transfer encoder to make better decisions. Experiments results on large-size dataset for industrial smoke detection illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) is a new energy power supply device that has been highly popular in recent years. It has the advantages of high efficiency, quietness, and no pollution. However, due to the long-term operation of the SOFC system in a high-temperature environment, various faults are inevitable, which will affect the normal operation of the system. Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the rupture fault of the heat exchanger and the hydrogen shortage fault that occur during the operation of the SOFC. A novel method(PCA-RF) for SOFC system fault diagnosis is established by combining principal component analysis and random forest algorithm. This method not only has a simple process but also has high ***, this algorithm can well help researchers accurately identify whether there is a fault in the actual use scenario of the SOFC, so as to reduce or recover unnecessary losses.
