The scattering media measurement for structured light techniques remains challenging due to the subsurface scattering that destroys fringe patterns and introduces phase error. Recently, deep learning has been successfully applied to fringe analysis. Unfortunately, collecting a large scale of labeled data is difficult, especially in scattering media measurement scenarios. Inspired by image style transfer, we proposed a high-precision scattering medium measurement method based on self-supervised fringe domain transformation. Specifically, by treating degraded fringe and ideal fringe as two pattern styles, a cycle generation strategy is developed to achieve fringe enhancement by translating between two fringe domains. Two generators and two discriminators are used to form cycle-consistency constraints for self-supervised learning with unpaired dataset. Additionally, we combine numerical and physical constraints to jointly optimize network parameters, effectively suppressing phase-shift errors and improving phase quality. Since the proposed approach eliminates the need for label data, it exhibits great potential for applying deep learning to scattering medium measurement. Experiments verify that our method can obtain high-quality 3D morphology of translucent objects. © 2025 SPIE.

Mobile edge computing (MEC) integrated with Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) helps run a wide range of services implemented by Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) deployed at MEC networks. This emerging paradigm offers flexible edge resource management for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and improves service satisfaction of diverse applications. However, a critical challenge lies in processing extremely unpredictable and bursty traffic flow, especially in event-trigger sensing tasks. In this paper, we study queue-aware service migration and resource allocation in an MEC network, where different devices with different arrival patterns request different network services. To this end, we first formulate a novel long-term operation cost minimization problem subject to the stability of multiple queues by adopting a simultaneous migration scheme and determining resource allocation dynamically. To address the problem efficiently, we propose an online control framework to make decisions without any prior system *** first adopt the Lyapunov optimization technique to decompose the long-term optimization problem into multiper-slot subproblems. Then, we adopt a decoupled optimization algorithm based on the coordinate descent method and augmented Lagrangian method to solve the offline mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) subproblems. Extensive results reveal that the proposed online optimization framework can efficiently balance queue stability and cost consumption. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

In this paper, component parameters of the boost converter are identified online using a multiple updating recursive least squares (MURLS) algorithm. The component parameters, such as resistance, inductor inductance and capacitor capacitance, are obtained directly through the identification procedure rather than transfer function coefficients. The MURLS algorithm is applied to improve the rapidity of system identification compared to the traditional recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm, which is verified by a comparative simulation between MURLS and RLS and the simulation of a load-switching scenario. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

State-of-charge (SoC) balancing is crucial for improving the efficiency and lifetime of the battery energy storage system in near-space vehicles. In this paper, the SoC balancing control problem is investigated by a coupling battery model with electric-thermal-aging dynamics. Firstly, a system identification experiment is carried out to obtain the internal parameters of the battery. Secondly, a weight optimization index is designed by integrating the balancing speed and battery state-of-health (SoH). Then, a receding horizon control algorithm is proposed to realize multi-unit battery SoC balancing with partial swarm optimization (PSO). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation results. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

image deraining typically involves synthesizing low-quality degraded data for training using a predefined degraded model of a single weather condition. While in real world scenarios, varying rain intensities result in different sizes and densities of raindrops and rain streaks, increasing the complexity of image degradation. In this paper, we proposed a multi-stage deraining framework based on pre-trained diffusion model, it can efficiently perform the rain removal task under a variety of weather situations. We diffuse degraded images into a noisy state where various types of degradation are transformed into Gaussian noise. Then, during the denoising process, the low-frequency information of the image is replaced through iterative refinement, guiding the pre-trained diffusion model for image reconstruction. Our method effectively utilizes the generative priors in diffusion models and avoid the computational burden of retraining conditional diffusion models. Experimental results on four rainy degradation image datasets show its robustness to different types and severities of degradation (such as raindrops and rain streaks). Compared to recent deraining algorithms, our method achieves a maximum improvement of 0.96 dB (3.5%) in PSNR and 0.021 dB (2.7%) in SSIM for the restored images. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). As a universal language, English has been paid more and more attention, among which oral English learning is very important. In this paper, the two key technologies of pronunciation error detection and quality evaluation are studied, both of them are effectively integrated, aiming to build a model for L2 learners' English pronunciation quality evaluation. This paper mainly studies two different methods of pronunciation error detection. Based on the speech recognition framework, the standard score is compared with the threshold to judge the correctness of phoneme pronunciation, and the phoneme-dependent threshold is set to improve the maximum Precision to 0.44. By judging the correct pronunciation and confusing phoneme, the accuracy of pronunciation error detection is improved to 81.26%. This paper proposes the fusion algorithm from multi-dimensions of speech fluency and intonation respectively, and a newly designed feature called word duration ratio, which significantly improve the correlation of pronunciation quality evaluation to 0.746. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Recently, many compression algorithms are applied to decrease the cost of video storage and transmission. This will introduce undesirable artifacts, which severely degrade visual quality. Therefore, Video Compression Artifacts Removal (VCAR) aims at reconstructing a high-quality video from its corrupted version of compression. Generally, this task is considered as a vision-related instead of media-related problem. In vision-related research, the visual quality has been significantly improved while the computational complexity and bitrate issues are less considered. In this work, we review the performance constraints of video coding and transfer to evaluate the VCAR outputs. Based on the analyses, we propose a Spatial-Temporal Attention-Guided Enhancement Network (STAGE-Net). First, we employ dynamic filter processing, instead of conventional optical flow method, to reduce the computational cost of VCAR. Second, we introduce self-attention mechanism to design Sequential Residual Attention Blocks (SRABs) to improve visual quality of enhanced video frames with bitrate constraints. Both quantitative and qualitative experimental results have demonstrated the superiority of our proposed method, which achieves high visual qualities and low computational costs. © 2023 IEEE.

Generative summarization based on the seq2seq model has gained widespread adoption due to the advancements and efficacy of the sequence-to-sequence framework. However, these models encounter challenges in handling out-of-vocabulary words and may produce summaries with factual inaccuracies. This paper addresses these issues by proposing a summarization generation model, MBC, which is built upon the Transformer as the baseline model. Additionally, it incorporates the BERT pre-trained model, pointer generation network, contrastive attention mechanism, and coverage loss. The model employs a pointer generation network to augment its vocabulary coverage capabilities by generating new terms. To enhance the representation of key information from the source text, a contrastive attention mechanism is employed during summary generation. In addition, by introducing coverage loss, the model can reduce repetitive content in the summary. To assess the model's performance, this paper employs ROUGE values as evaluation metrics and conducts comparative experiments with other models using the LCSTS dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that, in comparison with other models, this model is more adept at attending to salient information within the source text and generating summaries of greater accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

The three-electrode sliding dielectric barrier discharge(TES-DBD) plasma actuator significantly enhances the ionization rate and momentum exchange between charged particles and neutral particles by incorporating a parallel DC electrode into the standard DBD design. This design improves the body force and induced jet velocity while allowing flexible control of the induced jet angle, overcoming the limitations of discharge extension and uncontrollable direction in traditional DBD plasma actuators. An integrated plasma power supply has been designed specifically for TES-DBD plasma actuators, streamlining the power supply management. The methodology involves designing the circuit topology for the TES-DBD power supply, followed by simulating and validating its operating principles using Multisim software. The operational performance of the power supply is evaluated through a comprehensive analysis of its electrical,thermal, and aerodynamic properties specific to TES-DBD plasma actuation.
