How to provide individualized instruction and personalized teaching for students and effectively track their knowledge status in a targeted manner is a key concern in the field of education. The target of knowledge tracing (KT) is to use the learner's behavior in historical learning activities to model the students' educational process and forcast the future performance of students. Recently, self-attention has been used several times in the KT field. Traditional models have the problem of losing information under long sequence data. Inspired by Transformer, In this paper, we present a deep knowledge tracing model (MA-DKT) based on the multi-head self-attention mechanism, which employs the LSTM model combined with the multi-head self-attention mechanism to implement a deep knowledge tracing model that is able to catch the data characteristics of the students at different temporal scales. Our model works well on publicly available datasets and achieves some improvement in AUC. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

To delve into the characterization of growth disorders in different crops, it is important to support the model with a large amount of image data that includes a variety of disease types and disease levels to capture the typical and subtle differences of various diseases on plant leaves. However, the actual process of gathering data is challenging, sample coverage is challenging to accomplish, data capture is impeded, and the quality of the data is subpar. This work aims to address the issue of data shortages by employing technical methods. In particular, we creatively investigated the UAE-GAN approach, which naturally combines CycleGAN, U-Net, Variational Autoencoder VAE, and Autoencoder to increase the data. Among these, U-Net can precisely extract the small details of disease locations in crop photos and provide a strong basis for further processing thanks to its special codec architectural benefits. The Variational Autoencoder (VAE) significantly enhances the diversity of data by mapping the image to the latent space and sampling based on a certain probability distribution, so producing new image samples that are distinct from the original image yet inherently connected. Learning the coding and decoding of the original image is the foundation of autoencoders. If a mild disruption is introduced into the coding process, it can achieve data augmentation in another dimension and create a sequence of new images with just little modifications to the original image. The aforementioned models are closely linked with CycleGAN to efficiently map and convert in a variety of picture domains and to fully leverage CycleGAN's remarkable unsupervised image conversion capabilities. In English learning, speaking practice is crucial, but traditional classroom teaching can hardly meet the needs of most learners. In this paper, we investigate and improve the two essential techniques of pronunciation error detection and pronunciation quality evaluation in the Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) system. In terms of pronunciation error detection, We extracted phoneme pairs' discriminative acoustic and phonological features. We used Support Vector Machine (SVM) for pronunciation error detection, and the accuracy was improved to 81.26%. For pronunciation quality evaluation, we added two new dimensions of pronunciation fluency and intonation, innovatively designed the word duration ratio, and introduced the Support Vector Regression (SVR) algorithm to achieve the effective integration of different dimensional features. The experiments show that the improved pronunciation quality evaluation model has higher performance and practical value. © 2023 IEEE.

C2P-Net: Comprehensive Depth Map to Planar Depth Conversion for Room Layout Estimation

Room layout estimation seeks to infer the overall spatial configuration of indoor scenes using perspective or panoramic images. As the layout is determined by the dominant indoor planes, this problem inherently requires the reconstruction of these planes. Some studies reconstruct indoor planes from perspective images by learning pixel-level or instance-level plane parameters. However, directly learning these parameters has the problems of susceptibility to occlusions and position dependency. In this paper, we introduce the Comprehensive depth map to Planar depth (C2P) conversion, which reformulates planar depth reconstruction into the prediction of a comprehensive depth map and planar visibility confidence. Based on the parametric representation of planar depth we propose, the C2P conversion is applicable to both panoramic and perspective images. Accordingly, we present an effective framework for room layout estimation that jointly learns the comprehensive depth map and planar visibility confidence. Due to the differentiability of the C2P conversion, our network autonomously learns planar visibility confidence by constraining the estimated plane parameters and reconstructed planar depth map. We further propose a novel approach for 3D layout generation through sequential planar depth map integration. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our method across all evaluated panoramic and perspective datasets. © 1979-2012 IEEE.

Power safety is closely related to people’s well-being. Electric power sectors regularly inspect and maintain power lines to guarantee people’s safe and stable use of electricity, and the current mainstream inspection method is to use UAVs for power inspection. Traditional inspection and detection methods have many shortcomings, such as high labor costs, slow inspection speed, low detection efficiency, and single detection targets. In this paper, a set of smart power inspection systems based on YOLOv7 was designed to check the common potential security risks of power lines such as bird nests, insulators, garbage, and hardware. After the detection, the detection report could be generated. The system adopted the YOLOv7 target detection algorithm. The accuracy rate of all detection targets was up to 93.9%, and the mAP @.5% reached 95.9%. Therefore, the algorithm could greatly improve the detection efficiency and greatly facilitate the electric power sectors to check power lines, so it has a high use value. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In this paper, a novel microwave bandpass filter with L-shaped structure is introduced, which belongs to a kind of artificial surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) type microwave bandpass *** filter adopts a symmetrical three-stage structure. The first section is a slot-line waveguide section, which realizes the input/output of microwave signals. The second section is a transition section, which adopts the impedance gradient structure to achieve a good connection with the third section. The third section is the SSPPs section composed of periodic symmetric trapezoidal groove structure and 90 degree bend structure. The passband width and stopband characteristics of the filter can be adjusted by adjusting the geometric size of the trapezoidal groove and its air gap, also the microwave subwavelength binding effect can be further improved, which makes the SSPPs filter more excellent in resisting spatial electromagnetic interference. The filter can be used in L~S band civil microwave communication system. © 2022 SPIE.

The auto focusing process is affected by the amount of image content, resulting in the focus curve not meeting the characteristics of the ideal focus curve. In this paper, aiming at the problem that the traditional autofocus cannot find the focal plane successfully in the case of microscopic sparse content, the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of 12 traditional focus evaluation functions are carried out. The experimental results show that the F Tenengrad function is suitable for the optimal focus evaluation function of sparse microscopic images. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper proposes an improved high-precision 3D semantic mapping method for indoor scenes using RGB-D *** current semantic mapping algorithms suffer from low semantic annotation accuracy and insufficient real-time *** address these issues,we first adopt the Elastic Fusion algorithm to select key frames from indoor environment image sequences captured by the Kinect sensor and construct the indoor environment space ***,an indoor RGB-D image semantic segmentation network is proposed,which uses multi-scale feature fusion to quickly and accurately obtain object labeling information at the pixel level of the spatial point cloud ***,Bayesian updating is used to conduct incremental semantic label fusion on the established spatial point cloud *** also employ dense conditional random fields(CRF)to optimize the 3D semantic map model,resulting in a high-precision spatial semantic map of indoor *** results show that the proposed semantic mapping system can process image sequences collected by RGB-D sensors in real-time and output accurate semantic segmentation results of indoor scene images and the current local spatial semantic ***,it constructs a globally consistent high-precision indoor scenes 3D semantic map.

Facing the pressure of the extremely inflated network information and data overload surplus, it is extremely important to locate "valuable information" efficiently and accurately. Text summarization technology in the field of Natural Language processing (NLP) is an effective means to analyze and process network information. In this paper, we propose an abstractive text summarization model based on bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) vectorization and bidirectional decoding. The BERT is adopted to obtain a more global vector representation, which helps the subsequent encoder and decoder to fuse the full-text information to generate a summary with high generality. The decoding phase adopts a bidirectional decoding structure and combines the attention mechanism to maintain the bilateral decoding result to generate summaries. The bidirectional decoding structure can be fine-tuned according to the bidirectional results, which can overcome the tilt problem of the unidirectional structure, and the generated summaries are more consistent. The experimental results on the NLPCC2017 text summarization dataset show that the summaries generated by our model have the higher coherence at the word and sentence level, and the stronger generalization of the full text. © 2023 SPIE.

In this paper, high-speed train is regarded as a single prime point, a new tracking control method combining adaptive control and Kalman filtering is proposed. This paper solves the noise interference problem in the tracking control process of high-speed train. The method first linearises the original system, then uses Kalman filtering to do model estimation, and the controller is designed for the predictive model through adaptive control. Finally, MATLAB is used to simulate and verify the effectiveness of this method. This proposed method successfully solves the problems of nonlinearity, noise interference and unknown parameters in system. The error caused by resistance in the high-speed train tracking control process can be dealt with effectively. © 2024 IEEE.
