As an executive component of robots, the precise control of electric cylinders is crucial for achieving accurate control of robots. This article proposes a position closed-loop electric cylinder control method based on three-orders active disturbance rejection control (ADRC). Firstly, model the electric cylinder system and determine its transfer function. Secondly, PID controllers and ADRC controllers were designed separately, and their stability was verified through the Routh criterion and Lyapunov method, respectively. Finally, the control effects of PID and ADRC were compared through three sets of experiments. The results show that compared to PID, ADRC is less affected by the increase in input signal frequency, has stronger anti-interference ability, and can effectively resist the influence of internal uncertainty.

The study of the second order motion in biological vision is a new source of inspiration for algorithms and research directions in computer vision. In this paper, the second order motion can be divided into three typical group according to the modulation types: spatial modulate motion, temporal modulate motion and spatio-temporal modulate motion. Experiments are conducted on the first order motion perception based on correlation model and the second order motion perception by correlation model preceded with a nonlinear process called texture grabber. The computational results are consistent with the previous suggestion that the second order motions are processed by nonlinear system.

In many application fields, an appropriate high-quality fast image upsampling method is required. Although many interpolation-based upsampling methods have been proposed, the quality of result images is not satisfactory. Some of them are very fast, but produce poor quality images, the others can produce high quality images, but the methods in them are slow. In our paper, we proposed a fast statistical image upsampling method based on CUDA, it can obtain high quality images based on reducing the input resolution-grids dependency artifacts. Thus, we can rebuild low resolution images' sharp edges fast and get high-quality upsampled images in real time. We have applied this method in the multi-resolution texture generation of large scale terrain rendering. Experiments prove that our method can receive ideal effects in real time.
