Artificial intelligence (AI) has been a key research area since the 1950s, initially focused on using logic and reasoning to create systems that understand language, control robots, and offer expert advice. With the rise of big data and deep learning, AI has advanced in applications like recommendation systems, image recognition, and machine translation, primarily through optimizing loss functions in deep neural networks to improve accuracy and reduce training *** descent is the core optimization method but faces challenges like slow convergence and local minima. To overcome these, algorithms like Momentum, AdaGrad, RMSProp, Adadelta, Adam, and Nadam have been developed, introducing momentum and adaptive learning rates to accelerate convergence. This paper presents a new optimization algorithm that combines the strengths of Adam and AdaGrad, offering better adaptability to different learning rates.

Although underwater robots can replace humans to explore the ocean which is rich in resources but fraught with unknown risks, there are phenomena such as monotonous colors, complex backgrounds and uneven illumination in the underwater environment, which makes it difficult for underwater robots relying on the optical vision system to obtain clear images and is not conducive to subsequent recognition and grasping tasks. In this paper, relevant preparatory work was carried out for underwater image processing applicable to underwater robots, and the underwater imaging model as well as other underwater image processing models were analyzed. Subsequently, a method combining the underwater physical model and the dark channel image was proposed to improve LYT-Net, enabling it to be applicable to mobile embedded devices such as underwater robots. After training and testing on the real datasets LSUI and UIEB, our model achieved good results on important indicators such as PSNR and SSIM. Meanwhile, it met the theoretical requirements of mobile devices in terms of FLOPs, Params and single-frame processing time, which verified its robustness and real-time processing ability in various underwater environments.

Game-based Secondary Control for DC Microgrids with Nash Equilibrium

Voltage regulation and current sharing are two major issues when designing distributed control strategies for DC microgrids. However, power supply economy of local generators also needs to be considered. In this paper, a game-based framework is constructed, where multiple generators are regarded as the participants with secondary control signals being the game actions. A distributed secondary control algorithm is proposed, while information mask is introduced to avoid transmitting true control signal to neighbors. Then, payoff function is designed for each generator, which is composed of voltage regulation error, current sharing error and the local generation cost. It is proved that under the proposed secondary control algorithm in conjunction with the payoff function, a unique Nash equilibrium can be reached. Consequently, the minimum of the payoff function can be achieved, where the optimization of system control behavior and local economic operation can be realized simultaneously. Numerical simulations and experimental tests are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed secondary control strategy within several scenarios. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

image restoration is a classic foundational visual task, aimed at recovering damaged images, such as those affected by compression, blurring, or noise, to high-definition clarity. Although current image enhancement techniques largely rely on convolutional neural networks, the efficient capabilities of Transformers demonstrated in complex visual tasks have not yet been extensively applied in the field of image restoration. This paper presents an optimized image restoration strategy based on the SwinlR model, which is applied to the task of underwater image restoration. In the shallow feature extraction phase, deep separable convolution technology is employed; while in the deep feature extraction phase, a Spatial Gated Feedforward Network (SGFN) is utilized. The experimental data suggests that the novel approach surpasses conventional techniques in effectiveness and has effectively minimized both the model's parameter quantity and computational demands.

Sequences with low/zero ambiguity zone (LAZ/ZAZ) properties are useful in modern communication and radar systems operating over mobile environments. This paper first presents a new family of ZAZ sequence sets motivated by the "modulating" zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequences which were first proposed by Popovic and Mauritz. We then introduce a second family of ZAZ sequence sets with comb-like spectrum, whereby the local Doppler resilience is guaranteed by their inherent spectral nulls in the frequency domain. Finally, LAZ sequence sets are obtained by exploiting their connection with a novel class of mapping functions. These proposed unimodular ZAZ and LAZ sequence sets are cyclically distinct and asymptotically optimal with respect to the existing theoretical bounds on ambiguity functions. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Adaptive Neural Finite-Time Deployment of Heterogeneous Multi-agent Systems via a Cross-Species Bionic PDE-ODE Approach

For large-scale heterogeneous multi-agent systems (MASs) with characteristics of dense-sparse mixed distribution, this paper investigates the practical finite-time deployment problem by establishing a novel cross-species bionic analytical framework based on the partial differential equation-ordinary differential equation (PDE-ODE) approach. Specifically, by designing a specialized network communication protocol and employing the spatial continuum method for densely distributed agents, this paper models the tracking errors of densely distributed agents as a PDE equivalent to a human disease transmission model, and that of sparsely distributed agents as several ODEs equivalent to the predator population models. The coupling relationship between the PDE and ODE models is established through boundary conditions of the PDE, thereby forming a PDE-ODE-based tracking error model for the considered MASs. Furthermore, by integrating adaptive neural control scheme with the aforementioned biological models, a “Flexible Neural Network” endowed with adaptive and self-stabilized capabilities is constructed, which acts upon the considered MASs, enabling their practical finite-time deployment. Finally, effectiveness of the developed approach is illustrated through a numerical example.

A Novel Dynamic Peer-to-Peer Carbon Right Sharing Scheme for Microgrid Clusters

In this paper, a novel four-level distributed game decision-making framework of dynamic peer-to-peer (P2P) carbon emission right (CER) sharing is proposed for microgrid clusters (MGCs), which consists of four phases: exploration, selection, equilibrium and correction. Firstly, in the exploration stage, the tradable information is published by microgrids (MGs) and an initial set of tradable options is constructed. Secondly, in the selection stage, bilateral transaction coefficients are calculated according to the deficit and surplus of CERs in the P2P carbon market, and then an optimal sharing matching scheme of CERs is designed to reduce invalid transactions. Thirdly, in the equilibrium stage, a P2P carbon right sharing strategy based on the Stackelberg game is proposed to realize the dynamic change in carbon prices and the flexible conversion of master-slave roles in P2P carbon trading, which can promote the popularity of carbon market. Fourthly, in the correction stage, a carbon emission right balancer (CERB) is developed to avoid the imbalance of CERs, and then a billing scheme including incentives and penalties is established to achieve the benefit redistribution after P2P carbon trading. In the end, numerical results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed multi-layer game decision-making framework for P2P carbon right sharing among MGs. © 2010-2012 IEEE.

Sketch-based 3D shape retrieval has become a prominent area of research in computer vision, confronting challenges related to the inherent diversity and abstraction of sketches, as well as inter-domain discrepancies. This paper introduces a novel approach called Dual Knowledge Distillation Dynamic Learning (DKD 2 L) aimed at enhancing the extraction of spatio-temporal features for sketch-based 3D shape retrieval. We develop a temporal feature extraction network to effectively capture the dynamic temporal characteristics of sketches and improve retrieval efficiency through temporal knowledge distillation. Additionally, to tackle intra-class variation and inter-class imbalance, we apply semantic knowledge distillation, enabling the 3D shape network to guide the sketch network in capturing common semantic information. This approach facilitates precise cross-modal alignment and enhances retrieval accuracy. Extensive experiments on two benchmark datasets demonstrate that DKD 2 L surpasses existing state-of-the-art methods.

Teeth YOLACT: An Instance Segmentation Model Based on Impacted Tooth Panoramic X-Ray images

The instance segmentation of impacted teeth in the oral panoramic X-ray images is hotly researched. However, due to the complex structure, low contrast, and complex background of teeth in panoramic X-ray images, the task of instance segmentation is technically tricky. In this study, the contrast between impacted Teeth and periodontal tissues such as gingiva, periodontal membrane, and alveolar bone is low, resulting in fuzzy boundaries of impacted teeth. A model based on Teeth YOLACT is proposed to provide a more efficient and accurate solution for the segmentation of impacted teeth in oral panoramic X-ray films. Firstly, a Multi-scale Res-Transformer Module (MRTM) is designed. In the module, depthwise separable convolutions with different receptive fields are used to enhance the sensitivity of the model to lesion size. Additionally, the Vision Transformer is integrated to improve the model’s ability to perceive global features. Secondly, the Context Interaction-awareness Module (CIaM) is designed to fuse deep and shallow features. The deep semantic features guide the shallow spatial features. Then, the shallow spatial features are embedded into the deep semantic features, and the cross-weighted attention mechanism is used to aggregate the deep and shallow features efficiently, and richer context information is obtained. Thirdly, the Edge-preserving perception Module (E2PM) is designed to enhance the teeth edge features. The first-order differential operator is used to get the tooth edge weight, and the perception ability of tooth edge features is improved. The shallow spatial feature is fused by linear mapping, weight concatenation, and matrix multiplication operations to preserve the tooth edge information. Finally, comparison experiments and ablation experiments are conducted on the oral panoramic X-ray image datasets. The k-means method is widely utilized for clustering. Its simplicity, efficacy, and swiftness make it a favored choice among clustering algorithms. It faces the challenge of sensitivity to the initial class center. The enhancement strategy for the k-means algorithm focuses on refining the initial selection of cluster centroids, no longer using its random selection of initial class center points, but starting from the entire dataset, choosing the most distant point to serve as the starting cluster centroid. This can also prevent the local optimization problem of the k-means algorithm. The improved algorithm proposed in this article is an effective method that can select the initial class center point from a global perspective and reduce computation time. The suggested approach has undergone rigorous testing and comparative analysis across multiple datasets, yielding commendable outcomes.
