With the ongoing development of the national power grid, fault data from power equipment exhibits various characteristics, including a wide range of entity types, weak interrelationships, and high complexity. Consequently, traditional methods fail to extract adequate entity information and struggle with situations involving the multiple meanings of terminology in different contexts. To tackle these challenges, this paper proposes a method for recognizing power equipment fault entities based on the BERT-CRF model. The method initially employs web crawlers to retrieve literature related to power equipment faults. It then inductively designs five distinct types of power equipment fault entities and annotates a dataset accordingly. Subsequently, the BERT model is combined with the CRF model to recognize power equipment fault entities. The experimental results are then compared with those of the BiLSTM-CRF model and other domain datasets to evaluate the impact of power equipment fault entity types and label quantities. The experimental results confirm the feasibility and effectiveness of the BERT-CRF model, enabling the extraction of a wider range of power equipment fault entities from a smaller corpus of data. © 2023 SPIE.

The landscape of natural language processing (NLP) has been revolutionized by advancements that enable the upstream training of knowledge-rich models for downstream tasks, particularly named entity recognition (NER). Traditional NER approaches, treating it as a sequence labeling problem, often fail to deeply understand the whole text and to capture syntactic nuances of text. To address these issues, we introduce PFMRC, a novel machine reading comprehension (MRC) framework that leverages the strengths of both contextual semantics and syntactic information for enhanced NER performance. PFMRC employs a dual-pronged feature extraction strategy, utilizing RoBERTa and BiGRU to encode text features for contextual semantic information and representing them as node features of the graph structure, and a weighted embedding representation to translate syntactic dependencies into graph-structured edge features. Our model further incorporates Graph Attention Networks (GAT) to harmonize node and edge features, facilitating a nuanced understanding of text. The integration of prior knowledge and the modeling of intricate syntactic relationships through Graph Attention Networks (GAT) not only improves entity recognition accuracy but also enriches the feature representation, leading to more robust NER outcomes. Extensive experiments on three Chinese datasets demonstrate PFMRC's superior performance over state-of-the-art models.

Natural scenes are rich and varied in text presentation and complex in the background. These characteristics are likely to cause problems such as missing text and difficulties in coordinate regression during detection. At the same time, the gradient disappears due to the long text sequence in the recognition stage, thus causing poor correlation before and after the text. In order to address the issue, this research suggests an end-To-end scene text detection and identification model that emphasizes spatial image data and long-range text relevance. The model uses the ABCNet network as the underlying structure. In the detection stage, this paper uses ResNet to extract image features, feature fusion with iterative FPN, convolution using convolutional blocks with coordinate information, and finally, focus the coordinate information by coordinated attention mechanism. This paper uses a combination of Transformer and LSTM coding blocks in the recognition phase to encode the detection region. It uses Transformer to obtain textual long-sequence relations, LSTM to enhance short-range information, and a lightweight attention mechanism to decode. The experimental findings demonstrate that the suggested model outperforms more widely used approaches in terms of text localisation and recognition. © 2023 IEEE.

The utilization and advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets have noticeably increased in recent times. Various sectors, including intelligent homes, healthcare, sports analysis, and different industries, use IoT devices. Traffic is a crucial aspect of IoT devices, and it differs from conventional device traffic in several ways. This investigation employed 41 Internet of Things (IoT) devices. A machine learning model was developed that can classify IoT devices into multiple categories based on 13 different network traffic features. The raw data that was gathered was preprocessed using techniques like standardization and scaling techniques of the dataset. Algorithms for feature selecting can be utilized to extract characteristics from textual data. Following stratification, The dataset contains 106,234 sets of features that were utilized to enhance the predictive model. This research employed various evaluation metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of the logistic-boosted algorithms. In this research, collaborative machine learning methods were utilized as a starting point to develop an intrusion detection system (IDS) that can identify abnormal network traffic. The principal aim of this investigation is to identify attacks and abnormalities within a Smart Home IoT setting. We have introduced a new technique for constructing Logit-Boosted algorithm, namely Logi-CatBoost Classifier. Once the logitboosted algorithm was employed to classify the dataset, Logi-CBC performed the best, with an accuracy of 88.70%. We suggested Logi-CBC algorithm achieved the top precision among previously used Logit-Boosted algorithms in past studies on the same dataset. © 2023 SPIE.

Cloud Computing Task Scheduling Algorithm Based on Improved Particle Swarm Optimization

The traditional particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm still has shortcomings in terms of performance and efficiency of cloud computing task scheduling, such as low local search efficiency and limited search accuracy, which often makes it difficult to find the global optimal solution and easily falls into the local optimal solution. To solve this problem, an improved particle swarm optimization task scheduling algorithm(IPSO) was proposed. Firstly, a opposition-based learning strategy was used to create a more homogeneous initial population and the Rate of convergence of this algorithm was enhanced. Secondly, in the particle update process, the sine cosine algorithm(SCA) was introduced to enhance the optimization ability of the particles and balance the two processes of global search and local development. Finally, a search behavior based on average fitness was added to further expand the search solution space to find better optimal solutions and prevent falling into local optima. Experimental verification was conducted on the CloudSim simulation platform. The experimental results show that the improved particle swarm algorithm has significant advantages in reducing the cost and maximum completion time of system tasks. In particular, when the number of tasks reaches 500, IPSO improves the total cost by 10%, 4. 6%, 8. 6%, 9. 2%, 8. 2%, 10. 4% and 11. 3% respectively compared with adaptive particle swarm optimization (AdPSO), sine cosine algorithm-particle swarm optimization (SCA-PSO), simulated annealing particle swarm optimization (SAPSO), enhanced phagocytosis genetic algorithm (EPGA), competitive crossover mechanism genetic algorithm (C2PGA), opposition based learning-particle swarm optimization (OBL-PSO) and PSO, and improves the maximum completion time by 34. 1%, 27%, 41. 7%, 28. 5%, 21. 6%, 50. 3% and 54. 8% respectively, which verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of IPSO in solving cloud computing task scheduling problems under different task scales

Traffic flow prediction is an important part of intelligent transportation system, which aims to accurately estimate the traffic flow of a specific area in a specific time interval in the future. With the increase of vehicles and the complex space-time relationship between different regions in the road network, traditional traffic prediction methods are difficult to accurately describe the characteristics of traffic data, while deep learning prediction methods can better deal with complex feature structures. Therefore, deep learning has become a research hotspot in short-term traffic flow prediction. Firstly, the research status of traditional traffic flow prediction methods and deep learning traffic flow prediction methods is summarized, and the deep learning architecture of convolutional neural network, autoencoder, recurrent neural network, graph convolutional neural network, attention mechanism and Transformer as well as deep learning hybrid neural network is introduced in detail. And the deep learning traffic flow prediction literature, deep learning hyperparameters and scenarios are summarized and analyzed. Secondly, the paper summarizes the common domestic and foreign public data sets in the existing literature. Then, the performance of traffic prediction models is compared and analyzed according to previous model experiments. Sequence-to-sequence models provide a feasible new approach for generative text summarization, but these models are not able to accurately reproduce factual details and subject information. To address the problem of unconstrained and uncontrollable content generation of generative text summarization models, this paper proposes a generative summarization method KGIT that uses Transformer as a skeleton and incorporates both BERT pre-training model and keyword information. The model uses a comprehensive keyword extraction algorithm, uses two results extracted by LSTM and TextRank as vocabularies respectively, and uses pointers keywords are selected and the extracted keywords are used as the guiding information to generate the summary based on the guiding information. KGIT model can associate the source text and keywords to avoid generating a summary of irrelevant topics. The ROUGE value is used as the evaluation criterion for text summaries, and the summaries generated by the KGIT model can contain more key information and are more accurate and readable when compared with the mainstream summary generation models on the NLPCC2017 Chinese news summary dataset. © 2022 SPIE.

As one of the extremely important components on the transmission tower, the insulator has two functions of electrical insulation and wire fixing, which directly affects the operation of the power system. Defects in insulators can impair the service life of transmission lines. UAV aerial photography of electric power towers has problems such as small number of defective insulator samples, small area, large aspect ratio of insulator strings, and variable inclination angle, coupled with the influence of environmental factors such as light, interference, distance, etc., which lead to low detection accuracy of insulator defects. Aiming at the above problems, an improved YOLOv5 insulator defect detection algorithm is proposed. First, screen the aerial images and use data augmentation to obtain a sufficient number of defective insulator images to enrich the dataset and avoid model overfitting. Secondly, the convolutional attention module CBAM is introduced to improve the expression ability of defect insulator features and strengthen the network's ability to identify targets. Finally, the Leaky ReLU activation function of the hidden layer of the original YOLOv5 algorithm is replaced by the Mish function to improve the generalization ability of the network. The experimental results show that compared with the original YOLOv5 algorithm, the average precision mAP (IOU=0.5) of the improved algorithm is increased by 7.8%, which effectively improves the problems of false detection and missed detection in the original algorithm. Compared with other mainstream object detection algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this paper has better detection effect on insulator defects. © 2022 SPIE.

A B S T R A C TTo solve the visual semantic understanding bias and multimodal semantic bias in multimodal named entity recognition, the Confidence Learning Guides Label Fusion for Multimodal Named Entity Recognition (CLGLF) method is proposed. This method invokes the BLIP-2 pre-trained model to generate image captions, concatenates them with the input texts, and performs joint coding to achieve multimodal feature fusion. The candidate labels and text labels are obtained after decoding the multimodal representations and text representations. Based on using the KL divergence loss function to align the two groups of labels, the confidence score is calculated to evaluate the quality of the multimodal representation, and a confidence threshold is set to help screen out the biased candidate labels, the text labels in the corresponding positions are used to replace the biased candidate labels, to achieve the label fusion, and finally complete the multimodal named entity recognition. In order to verify the proposed method, experiments are carried out on the Twitter-2015 and Twitter-2017 multimodal datasets, and the experimental results are compared with 7 mainstream methods, such as MSB and UMT. Visual Semantic Enhancement for Multi-Modal Named Entity Recognition

In recent years, a series of methods have been proposed to use image semantics to assist in extracting named entities. However, in these multi-modal named entity recognition methods, there are problems of visual semantic missing and weak semantic constraints in multi-modal representation. Therefore, a visual semantic enhancement for multi-modal named entity recognition (EVS-MNER) method is proposed. In this method, multiple visual features are used for collaborative representation to obtain more complete visual semantics. The semantic information in multiple visual features is integrated through the multi-modal features fusion module to generate visual semantic features, and the semantics are passed to the text features to obtain semantically enhanced multi-modal text representation. The visual entity classifier is used to decode visual semantic features, and the semantic consistency constraint of visual features is realized. The multi-task label decoder is called to mine the fine-grained semantics of the multi-modal text representation and text features, and the problem of semantic bias is solved by joint decoding, to further improve the accuracy of named entity recognition. On two multimodal entity recognition datasets of Twitter-2015 and Twitter-2017, the proposed method is compared with 10 methods such as PCEN and M3S.
