Two goals of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms are effectively improving its convergence and diversity, and making the Pareto set evenly distributed and close to the real Pareto Front. This paper proposes a grey wolf optimization based self-organizing fuzzy multi-objective evolutionary algorithm. Grey wolf optimization algorithm is used to optimize the initial weights of the self-organizing map network. New neighborhood relationships for individuals are built by self-organizing map, which can maintain the invariance of feature distribution and map the structural information of the current population into Pareto Sets. Based on this neighborhood relationship, this paper uses the fuzzy differential evolution operator, which constructs a fuzzy inference system to dynamically adjust the weighting parameter in the differential operator, to generate a new initial solution, and the polynomial mutation operator to refine them. Boundary processing is then conducted. Experiments on fifteen test problems were conducted to verify its effectiveness. Results show that the convergence and diversity of the proposed algorithm are better than several state-of-the-art multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. © 2021, CC BY.

In this paper,allowing for general transmission and recovery times distributions,we proposed an edge-based age-structured-like compartmental model for STIs(EBACMS)in a coupled *** considered sexual transmissions between men with also heterosexual ***,we gave the general approach of proving the nonnegativity of solutions for the system coupling ordinary and partial differen-tial equations,which can be applied to all edge-based compartment *** then analyzed the epidemic threshold Ro with different distributions which couples the thresholds of the single-layer and bipartite networks in the percolation *** also studied the global stability of disease-free equilibrium with R0<1 and the final epidemic size F(the proportion of the population experiencing infection during the epidemic)with R0>*** addition,numerical simulations indicated that given a fixed exponential transmission distribution,a higher variance(with same mean)in general recovery distribution gives smaller R0 and *** analysis on Ro and F in terms of the parameters illustrated that male-to-male transmission routes have a greater impact on Rg and F than the heterosexual transmission routes for the Markovian transmission process and arbitrary recovery *** results provide a good theoretical guideline to consider the distributions of real-world STIs.

Stability of partially unstable discrete-time switched positive nonlinear systems with delays

This paper addresses the stability issue of discrete-time switched positive nonlinear systems (SPNSs) characterized by partial unstable subsystems and constant delays. Firstly, we use a parameter to constrain the ratio of active durations of the stable and unstable modes, and derive the exponential stability conditions for SPNSs based on a key function. Then we analyze the relationship between convergence speed and the constant delay. Additionally, we obtain a stability criterion of SPNSs under a particular sequence of switching signals. Finally, we validate the results through a numerical example.

This paper investigates the stochastic distributed nonconvex optimization problem of minimizing a global cost function formed by the summation of n local cost functions. We solve such a problem by involving zeroth-order (ZO) information exchange. In this paper, we propose a ZO distributed primal–dual coordinate method (ZODIAC) to solve the stochastic optimization problem. Agents approximate their own local stochastic ZO oracle along with coordinates with an adaptive smoothing parameter. We show that the proposed algorithm achieves the convergence rate of O(√p/√T) for general nonconvex cost functions. We demonstrate the efficiency of proposed algorithms through a numerical example in comparison with the existing state-of-the-art centralized and distributed ZO algorithms. A Pushing-Grasping Collaborative Method Based on Deep Q-Network Algorithm in Dual Viewpoints

In the field of intelligent manufacturing, robot grasping and sorting is an important content. However, in the traditional 2D camera-based robotic arm grasping method, the grasping efficiency is low and the grasping accuracy is low when facing the scene of stacking and occlusion. Insufficiency and other issues, a dual perspective-based deep reinforcement learning promotion and capture method is proposed. In this case, a novel method of pushing-grasping collaborative based on the deep Q-network in dual viewpoints is proposed in this paper. This method adopts an improved deep Q-network algorithm, with an RGB-D camera to obtain the information of objects’ RGB images and point clouds from two viewpoints, and combines the pushing and grasping actions, so that the trained manipulator can make the scenes better for grasping, so that it can perform well in more complicated grasping scenes. What’s more, we improved the reward function of the deep Q-network and propose the piecewise reward function to speed up the convergence of the deep Q-network. We trained different models and tried different methods in the V-REP simulation environment, and it drew a conclusion that the method proposed in this paper converges quickly and the success rate of grasping objects in unstructured scenes raises up to 83.5%. Besides, it shows the generalization ability and well performance when novel objects appear in the scenes that the manipulator has never grasped before. © 2021, CC BY.

This paper has developed a vision-based control approach for autonomous tracking and landing on a motional Unmanned surface vessel（USV） with an unmanned aerial vehicle（UAV）. First, a novel three-stage visual detection method is proposed to estimate the relative 3 D position between UAV and USV, where the USV stays in a suitable view of the camera of the UAV. Then a PID controller is designed to regulate the attitude of the quadrotor and the movement of the vessel, which enables the successful landing procedure of the UAV on a motional USV. Finally, lake experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The widespread image applications have greatly promoted the vision-based tasks, in which the Image Quality Assessment (IQA) technique has become an increasingly significant issue. For user enjoyment in multimedia systems, the IQA exploits image fidelity and aesthetics to characterize user experience;while for other tasks such as popular object recognition, there exists a low correlation between utilities and perceptions. In such cases, the fidelity-based and aesthetics-based IQA methods cannot be directly applied. To address this issue, this paper proposes a utility-oriented IQA in object recognition. In particular, we initialize our research in the scenario of underwater fish detection, which is a critical task that has not yet been perfectly addressed. Based on this task, we build an Underwater Image Utility Database (UIUD) and a learning-based Underwater Image Utility Measure (UIUM). Inspired by the top-down design of fidelity-based IQA, we exploit the deep models of object recognition and transfer their features to our UIUM. Experiments validate that the proposed transfer-learning-based UIUM achieves promising performance in the recognition task. The operation condition of aluminum electrolytic cells is critical to the stability of the aluminum electrolysis process. Under the tough working environment, there will be many abnormal states in the cells, detrimental to aluminum quality, aluminum electrolysis efficiency and electrolytic cells life. Therefore, it's of great significance to develop an effective process monitoring and multi-fault diagnosis method. The diagnosis accuracy and the speed of traditional multi-classification methods are limited. To solve these problems, a fault detection and multi-fault diagnosis framework based on wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) and directed acyclic graph support vector machine (DAG-SVM) is proposed. First, features are extracted from aluminum electrolytic cell voltage signals. Then, DAG-SVM is used to detect and diagnose abnormal states. The result shows that the proposed method can detect and diagnose three abnormal states, anode effect state, voltage instability and liquid aluminum fluctuation with a high precision. The accuracy can reach about 86.8%. © 2019 IEEE.
