This article considers the H∞ static output-feedback control for linear time-invariant uncertain systems with polynomial dependence on probabilistic time-invariant parametric uncertainties. By applying polynomial chaos theory, the control synthesis problem is solved using a high-dimensional expanded system which characterizes stochastic state uncertainty propagation. A closed-loop polynomial chaos transformation is proposed to derive the closed-loop expanded system. The approach explicitly accounts for the closed-loop dynamics and preserves the L2-induced gain, which results in smaller transformation errors compared to existing polynomial chaos transformations. The effect of using finite-degree polynomial chaos expansions is first captured by a norm-bounded linear differential inclusion, and then addressed by formulating a robust polynomial chaos based control synthesis problem. This proposed approach avoids the use of high-degree polynomial chaos expansions to alleviate the destabilizing effect of truncation errors, which significantly reduces computational complexity. In addition, some analysis is given for the condition under which the robustly stabilized expanded system implies the robust stability of the original system. Accurately estimating the six-degree-of-freedom pose of objects is essential for intelligent robotics. Although significant progress has been made in this area, most studies fail to account for specific hardware limitations for model deployment, which remains a major challenge for resource-constrained scenarios. To address this issue, we propose Lite-HRPE, a lightweight RGB-based pose estimation method, which leverages a multi-branch parallel structure to extract spatial and semantic information of key points for pose estimation. Additionally, Lite-HRPE adopts the G-block and G-neck modular structure and streamlines the original feature extraction network to realize a compact network structure. This allows Lite-HRPE to strike a balance between pose estimation accuracy, parameter count, computational load, and runtime speed. Our evaluation on public datasets shows that Lite-HRPE achieves a 95.7% accuracy with only 10.8% of the number of parameters and 11.8% of the FLOPs compared to Hybridpose.

In this paper, the problem of rudder-roll damping control for a class of cruise keeping ships subject to both actuator fault and state saturation is investigated. A manoeuvring and rudder control model of marine vessels is firstly reviewed based on the existing literature. Actuator faults which including partial loss of rudder effectiveness and actuator-bias faults are considered in the model. Then a switching control strategy is developed to compensate for the actuator faults and to guarantee the stability of the rudder-roll damping control system. Moreover, some relationship regarding state saturation bounds, actuator fault limits and control parameters are analyzed in this paper. Finally, simulation results are given to illustrate the proposed procedures and their effectiveness.

Genetic algorithm (GA) is an effective method for path planning problems. As a powerful variant of GA, island genetic algorithm (IGA) has considerable improvement in performance. In this paper, a new island model of GA is proposed to avoid the premature phenomenon and achieve better efficiency. First, a new method of creating subpopulations is presented based on K-means to expand the searching area for the optima. Meanwhile, recombining subpopulations is proposed as a new strategy to improve the diversity of populations and save computational time. Moreover, a method is designed based on Monte Carlo sampling to handle the uncertainty of maps. Comparative experiments are presented to verify the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. Then, a proper number of samples is found by simulation to balance the accuracy and the time cost of Monte Carlo sampling.

Conventional Domain Adaptation(DA) algorithms typically rely on access to the source data,which may not always be practical due to privacy concerns or limited storage *** address these challenges,Source-Free Domain Adaptation(SFDA) has emerged as an alternative that relies solely on a pre-trained source model rather than the actual source *** SFDA,pseudo-label supervised learning is commonly employed and initially plays a significant role in enhancing model performance during the early stages of target domain ***,as adaptation progresses,the performance can stagnate or even deteriorate due to the noise inherent in pseudo-labels,a phenomenon known as Confirmation *** noise present in target domain pseudo-labels introduces additional uncertainty and overfitting risks to the *** this study,a novel framework named Sample Weighted Gradient Regularization (SWGR) was introduced to tackle this *** first propose the Label Uncertainty Estimation Metric (LUEM),a reweighting strategy that assesses the reliability of *** metric evaluates label uncertainty from both the source domain pre-trained model and spatial distribution of target domain samples,allowing the model to achieve improved cross-domain transfer performance with high-confidence samples in the target domain. Additionally,we impose a constraint on the gradient descent process of the total loss function in the form of an inequality to prevent entropy from *** Gradient Regularization eliminates overfitting while also guiding the model in lowering prediction uncertainty *** approach reduces the uncertainty in the target domain and enhances the model's generalization *** results demonstrate that our method surpasses competing SFDA approaches and even outperforms many traditional DA methods which require extensive amounts of source domain data. © 2024, The Authors. In recent decades, various surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms (SAEAs) have been proposed to solve computationally expensive multiobjective optimization problems (EMOPs). Nevertheless, designing an SAEA to handle high-dimensional EMOPs and balance convergence, diversity, and computational complexity remains challenging. Here, we propose a two-phase SAEA (TP-SAEA), which follows the idea of convergence first and diversity second, for solving high-dimensional EMOPs. In Phase I, a surrogate-assisted problem reformulation method is proposed to fast-track the Pareto optimal set in association with some reference solutions. Specifically, the high-dimensional EMOP is reformulated into an expensive single-objective one with low-dimensional decision space. Then, the surrogate-assisted optimization is utilized to obtain well-converged solutions. In Phase II, the high-dimensional EMOP is decomposed into two subproblems to explore subregions of the decision space that can effectively promote the diversity of the solutions. The two subproblems are optimized independently via surrogate-assisted optimization, aiming to push the population towards different regions of the Pareto optimal front. Experiments are conducted on EMOPs with 100 to 500 decision variables compared with four state-of-the-art SAEAs. The proposed TP-SAEA obtains well-converged and diverse solutions with only 509 real function evaluations. The cooperative behaviors of players on weighted networks are investigated by incorporation of trust mechanisms into a well-accepted game model, i.e., the networked prisoner’s dilemma game, afterwards some weight-updating schemes are designed according to the credit records. Despite the differences in network topologies and strategy updating protocols, a simple yet significant principle surfaces that, to promote the emergence of cooperation over abundant weighted networks, only the latest credit record of partners is required to be taken into consideration, whereas incorporating more previous records may even deteriorate the cooperation performance. To support such an appealing principle, we have investigated more deeply into the role of credit records so as to give a detailed explanation underlying it. The virtue of this work lies in providing insights into the effective usage of the currently available credit records.

Iterative methods for solving fixed point problems and pseudomonotone equilibrium problems have been considered. An extragradient algorithm has been presnted for finding a common element of the fixed points of pseudocontractive operators and the solutions of pseudomonotone equilibrium problems in Hilbert spaces. Service computing techniques have achieved remarkable results in solving the cohesiveness problem of Web applications and are therefore introduced into the IoT do-main to break the trend of inlining IoT systems. However, compared with the traditional Internet, IoT has richer elements and semantic connotations, so the existing service description framework needs to be improved and extended. In this paper, we propose an ontology description framework for IoT services, design corresponding inference rules, and give a storage method for IoT services by integrating the knowledge graph technology for the strongly associated characteristics of IoT services. On this basis, an algorithm for combining IoT services based on graph planning is proposed. The experimental results show that the proposed method in this paper can provide richer entity semantics and ef-fectively improve the efficiency and success rate of IoT service composition. © The Authors.
