In this paper we address the problem of pressure management in water supply system (WSS) network. The model-based predictive control (MPC) strategies have some important features to deal with WSS. By hydraulic analysis of WSS, the predictive model is derived from the dynamic model and static model of WSS. Through WSS, the consumers' demands are required to be met at all times according to some operational constraints that must be satisfied. The constraints of flow through actuators, the water level of reservoirs and the consumer areas' pressure demand are determined by a specific system. In this work, we develop a constrained MPC controller that considers the zone control of the pressure outputs and incorporates steady state economic targets in the control cost function. The designed management strategies are applied to a case study and simulation results, covering different aspects, are provided. The output nodal pressure can be controlled in the desired zone by optimal scheduling the actuators of the WSS. If the variation range of reservoir's water level is broader, the rate of flow through the actuators is gentle, and vice versa.

Many networks constructed and investigated in network science are based on quantized weights of edges due to limitation on measurement or for research convenience. In this work, quantization effects on networks properties are investigated based on the eigenvalues of the corresponding Laplacian. Non-integer weights are rounded off to nd that higher rounding-off precision leads to a better approximation of the original networks distribution of eigenvalues, whereas shows no in uence on the quantization results. In contrast to the intuition that larger quantization level always implies a better approximation of the quantized network to the original one, periodic jumping phenomena at the critical quantization level with peak-value decreasing in a power-law relationship are observed in all the real-world networks we investigated. Furthermore, random exchange of weights among edges could in uence the critical quantization level but doesn’t affect the jumping phenomena.

Micro-quadrotor has recently been used in different areas even military field. However, controlling mini-quadrotor to flight attitude in the air has not been perfectly achieved due to mini-quad rotor's small size and light weight. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the flight attitude control system of mini-quadrotor, including design and simulation of calculations and controllers. By using distributed multi-sensors, the attitude and horizontal position information of mini-quadrotor is obtained. The simulation of the attitude controller is applied with the MATLAB Simulink library. In conclusion, the designed attitude controller can make mini-quadrotor have smooth flight and move in all directions and enable the mini-quadrotor to properly flight.

Two important issues in evolutionary game theory are to understand the mechanisms of how peer pressure can promote cooperation among large scale of self-interested individuals, and how Pigouvian tax with peer-information and social mechanism can avoid the tragedy of the commons. We propose and compare two models based on game. In Pigouvian tax with peer-information model, individuals with cooperation behaviors receive rewards and their opponents are noticed with this information. Thus the peer pressure promotes the opponents with defection behaviors to cooperate intuitively. While in social mechanism model, individuals receive rewards cooperation behaviors and peer pressure. The effect of social mechanism depends on the level of social relationship. We find the enhancement of cooperation of both mechanisms in high level of peer pressure. Furthermore, we find the phenomenon of retaliatory action in weak ties between individuals in social mechanism model. We provide computational and heuristic arguments to establish these findings.
