Artificial plant optimization algorithm is a novel stochastic population-based evolutionary algorithm by simulating the plant growing process. In this paper, a new variant, which is called APOA-DC is proposed by incorporating with dynamic population size and cluster methods, furthermore, to investigate the performance, APOA-DC is applied to optimize the DV-Hop localization algorithm, simulation results show it achieves better performance than the DV-Hop algorithm.

Independent Component Analysis (ICA) was often used to separate movement related independent components (MRICs) from Electroencephalogram (EEG) data.?However, to obtain robust spatial filters, complex characteristic features, which were manually selected in most cases, have been commonly used. This study proposed a new simple algorithm to extract MRICs automatically, which just utilized the spatial distribution pattern of ICs. The main goal of this study was to show the relationship between spatial filters performance and designing samples. The EEG data which contain?mixed brain states (preparing, motor imagery and rest) were used to design spatial filters. Meanwhile, the single class data was also used to calculate spatial filters to assess whether the MRICs extracted on different class motor imagery spatial filters are similar. Furthermore, the spatial filters constructed on one subject’s EEG data were applied to extract the others’ MRICs. Finally, the different spatial filters were then applied to single-trial EEG to extract MRICs, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifiers were used to discriminate left hand、right-hand and foot imagery movements of BCI Competition IV Dataset 2a, which recorded four motor imagery data of nine subjects. The results suggested that any segment of finite motor imagery EEG samples could be used to design ICA spatial filters, and the extracted MRICs are consistent if the position of electrodes are the same, which confirmed the robustness and practicality of ICA used in the motor imagery Brain Computer Interfaces (MI-BCI) systems.

The method of SP-FDTD (Splitting Plane wave Finite Difference Time Domain)is applied to 3D FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain)method for plane wave incidence. Based on the split-field formulation, the method has the new iterative equations and can eliminate the error of interpolation and discretized phase velocity mismatch between 1D FDTD and 3D FDTD grid. Numerical results show that the present method is valid for different type of wave sources, and accuracy for oblique incident plane wave, with the leakage error on the order of -300 dB.

In this paper, it is presented that a new color image watermarking algorithm based on compressed sensing theory and chaos theory in discrete cosine transform (DCT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) domain. Initially, a color watermarking image is preprocessed by four steps i.e. Being divided into red, green and blue channels, being sparse by wavelet transform, scrambling by 1-D chaos sequence and measurement through Gaussian random matrix. Here, the chaos sequence is produced by 1-D Logistic mapping. Then the red, green and blue channel images of a color host image are divided into 8×8 blocks and then transformed by DCT. Next the first DCT coefficient of each block is selected to compose a new matrix, and the new matrix is decomposed by SVD. The singular values are the regions of watermarking embedment. Thirdly, three sets of measured coefficients as new watermarking are embedded into the corresponding singular values. Finally, the Iterative Hard Threshold (IHT) algorithm is used to reconstruct the watermarking image. The method proposed can not only enlarge the information capacity of watermarking embedment but also strengthen the security of watermarking in the condition of the good imperceptibility. The experiments show that the scheme is feasible and has good anti-attack ability for JPEG compression, Gaussian white noise, rotating and median filtering.

Embedded systems and computational intelligence have been greatly developed in recent *** is necessary to consider the design of a handheld terminal for industrial control purposes because there is still some work done by hand in the industrial process, and it is inconvenient and inefficient. In this paper, a design and achievement of a handheld terminal used in the industrial inspection process is proposed in order to make industrial control more efficient and safer. The handheld terminal hardware consists of ARM11 S3C6410 and RFID module together with a wireless transmission module. As for the software program, we use a QT platform in Fedora to design software programs including serial communication, RFID, and wireless transmission. We also design a useful Chinese input method. Finally, the test shows that the handheld terminal can work well in an industrial process and does have great application prospects.
