In this paper, a similar but novel method presented in [3, 4], lifting wavelet-like transform (LWLT), is applied to the FMM method to sparsify the aggregation and disaggregation matrix. By compressing the elements in those two matrices in time, the method proposed can further speed up the MVM and save much memory when the FMM is used. Numerical results for different shaped three-dimensional objects are considered. Compared with the FMM technique, the application of the LWLT to the FMM can accelerate the MVM by factor of two with lower memory consumed.

Classical finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method has been widely used in computational electromagnetics, but for electrically large domains and for late-time analysis, FDTD method begins to show its limitations due to the accumulation of phase errors. To solve this problem, several methods have been proposed such as high-order schemes and four-stage Runge-Kutta integrator. Recently, the symplectic methods have been adopted for using in computational electromagnetics. Target detection by non-cooperative illuminator is a study hotspot in electronic warfare field, with'four countering' potential advantages for passive radar. One of the major problems in continuous wave bistatic radar is Direct path interference (DPI). Conventional solutions to this problem is the use of an adaptive antenna, steering null towards the interference. Unfortunately the null depth obtained by this technology is not enough for surveillance radar. First of all, DPI appeared in passive radar based on non-cooperative FM broadcast transmitter is analyzed in this paper. Secondly, a DPI cancellation based on Adaptive fractional delay estimation (AFDE) is in detail introduced how to deal with this problem. Finally, a passive radar experimental system based on non-cooperative FM broadcast transmitter is provided, simulation results by real collected data show applying the method proposed in this paper is effective in suppression DPI.

The DS-CDMA signal model and the noisy linear Independent Component Analysis (ICA) model are analyzed in this paper. Comparing these models shows that they have the same form. The adaptive minimum mean-square error (MMSE) multiuse detection based on ICA is proposed. It uses the output of adaptive MMSE multi-user detection to initialize the ICA iterations, not only the known spread information of interesting user is used to overcome the uncertainness of ICA, but also the character of statistical independence is used. The simulation results show that the performance is improved obviously.

Learning methods of constructive neural network aims to overcome the disadvantages of BP algorithm, which has many advantages such as fast convergent rate, less computation, good fault-tolerant and strong generalization ability, etc. Its structure is constructed step by step in the processing of the data rather than being prescribed in advance. This paper mainly introduces the developing motivations, research status quo and development directions, laying stress on two kinds of constructive learning methods: FP algorithm and covering algorithm. After discussing the construction and basic properties of FP network, we construct an FP network as a general clustering unit, and analyze its main properties. On the base of summarizing covering algorithm we present a general neighborhood covering algorithm and its corresponding network. According to the characteristics of the algorithm we analyze its existing problems and propose the further research orientations.

An algorithm of improved reduced spatial resolution video transcoding is proposed in this paper. An adaptive intra-refresh scheme is presented based on the relation between drift error and motion activity of inter-coded blocks. The thresholds are dynamically adjusted according to the difference between the target bit rate and actual bit rate. This method can reduce the bit rate of intra coded frames while still maintaining error robustness and limiting temporal propagation of errors. Besides, a linear rate control strategy is also present. In order to reduce computational complexity, the rate-distortion function can be mapped into a linear function. The simulation results show that the buffer fullness tend to be stabilized and the PSNR of the reconstructed image is raised.
