The rehearsal strategy is widely used to alleviate the catastrophic forgetting problem in class incremental learning (CIL) by preserving limited exemplars from previous tasks. With imbalanced sample numbers between old and new classes, the classifier learning can be biased. Existing CIL methods exploit the long-tailed (LT) recognition techniques, e.g., the adjusted losses and the data re-sampling methods, to handle the data imbalance issue within each increment task. In this work, the dynamic nature of data imbalance in CIL is shown and a novel Dynamic Residual Classifier (DRC) is proposed to handle this challenging scenario. Specifically, DRC is built upon a recent advance residual classifier with the branch layer merging to handle the model-growing problem. Moreover, DRC is compatible with different CIL pipelines and substantially improves them. Combining DRC with the model adaptation and fusion (MAF) pipeline, this method achieves state-of-the-art results on both the conventional CIL and the LT-CIL benchmarks. Considering the characteristics of electromagnetic scattering of radar observation targets, it is possible to introduce compressed sensing theory into computational imaging. For the sparse undersampling problem of scene data, it is required to achieve higher reconstruction accuracy with lower complexity. However, it is often difficult to construct and solve the sparse representation dictionary in complex scenarios, and it is difficult to fully exploit the correlation and sparsity between data. In addition, the design of observation matrix and reconstruction algorithm is also difficult. In this paper, the imaging problem is modeled as an inverse scattering problem based on the mathematical model of metasurface antenna imaging, and the feasibility of the near-field computational imaging method of generative adversarial network is analyzed from the perspective of solving the inverse problem. Using the measured radiation field data to conduct imaging experiments, the network can reconstruct the imaging target quickly and with high quality under the condition of low scene compressed ratio, which verifies the effectiveness and robustness of the method.

A solver for subwavelength lamellar gratings is presented synchronized with the development of a light modulator for holographic video display Grating Liquid Crystal on Silicon (GLCoS) and is regarded as an important part of the whole R&D work. In this way it not only gives computational support in the whole design process including physical concept descriptions, verifications, predictions, fabrications and other experimental activities but also provides a support platform for further product development. Based on the generic Fourier modal method, we focus on the electrodynamics specific to conductors (Au, Al) and charge carriers in semiconductors (Indium Tin Oxide, ITO) in SPPs (Surface Plasmon Polaritons) and permittivity characteristics of the materials to make the solver oriented towards subwavelength (metal, semiconductor) lamellar gratings. Further, we analyze and calculate the optical characteristics of subwavelength lamellar gratings composed of ITO and Au. The results of these calculations not only agree with the results of actual GLCoS device tests to the same order of accuracy, but also demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the solver.

While significant progress has been made in multi-modal learning driven by large-scale image-text datasets, there is still a noticeable gap in the availability of such datasets within the facial domain. To facilitate and advance the field of facial representation learning, we present FLIP-80M, a large-scale visual-linguistic dataset comprising over 80 million face images paired with text descriptions. FLIP-80M is constructed by leveraging the large openly available image-text-pair dataset LAION-5B and a mixed-method approach to filter face-related pairs from both visual and linguistic perspectives. Our curation process involves face detection, face caption classification, text de-noising, and synthesis-based image augmentation. As a result, FLIP-80M stands as the largest face-text dataset to date. To evaluate the potential of our dataset, we fine-tune the CLIP model using the proposed FLIP-80M, to create FLIP (Facial Language-Image Pretraining) and assess its representation capabilities across various downstream tasks. Our experiments demonstrate that our FLIP model achieves state-of-the-art results in a range of face analysis tasks, including face parsing, face alignment, and face attribute classification. A novel millimeter wave sensing antenna array is proposed for application in miniature detection and sensing devices suitable for operating in multiple scenarios, e.g., collecting in the face of video and infrared, and other device materials in complex electromagnetic environments to achieve delightful sensing results. The proposed antenna array is designed to work at 30 GHz which is considered to integrate the optical devices and millimeter radar together by using a number of holes in the millimeter antenna array. Two different excitation modes are considered in the constructed design, where many holes are installed in the millimeter array, which aims to integrate the optical imaging cameras. In this design, the presented array serves as a radar to detect and get sensing results. Since the optical components are not metal and have a little effect on the performance of the antenna array, we use the holes to model the optical cameras to investigate the performance of the radiation patterns and impedance bandwidth.

In this paper, a broadband 5G MIMO mobile antenna with a shared radiator is proposed. The working band range is 3.3-6.0GHz, covering n77, n78, n79 and WLAN 5G working bands, which can meet a large number of application scenarios of 5G mobile phones. In addition, the antenna is applied to self-decoupling, defect ground, direction diversity and other technologies and principles in the decoupling way, without the use of complex decoupling structure, to ensure that its structure is simple and easy to process, small size is suitable for today's 5G mobile phones.

A nested rectangle electromagnetic bandgap structure with dual broadband band is designed to enhance the performance of telecom/mobile 5G antennas operating at 3.3GHz and 4.9GHz, which has a short frequency spacing of about 1.6GHz. through loading EBG structure under dipole antenna, directional radiation, low profile and high gain performance have been achieved. The distance between electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure and antenna is only 0.067 wavelength, the first band and the second band of EBG are greatly expanded by etching nested square grooves around the EBG (NSGEBG) as compared with traditional etched ring groove EBG (ERGEBG). The bandwidth of the first band of 0.39GHz is twice wider than that of the ring groove of 0.2GHz, the second band has a bandwidth of 0.46GHz, which perfectly solves the problem that the spacing of the two operating frequency is greater than 2GHz. © 2022 IEEE.

We present the excellent student training scheme in shielding effectiveness analysis with international cooperation of Belarus. As we know, the shielding is vital for modern information devices due to the radiating around us. Herein, the shielding effectiveness is important for training excellent students to master the design of the frequency selective components. In this method, we teach the students to use the EM simulation tools to construct different EM structures for obtaining the shielding, and the performance of these structures are verified from the simulations and measurements. Using this shielding effectiveness training scheme, a frequency selective surface is presented, simulated and discussed to analyze its performance. In future, the excellent student training methods given herein for shielding effectiveness can be expanded to develop other EM structures. © 2022 IEEE.

A beamforming microstrip array antenna for K-band is proposed. The antenna array is a 4*4 array, the array elements are composed of slotted rectangular microstrip antennas, and the feed network is a combination of series and parallel connections. The beamforming is achieved by using a microstrip phase shift network. The design results show that the VSWR of the antenna array is less than 1.8dB in the operating frequency bandwidth of 24.0 GHz-24.5 GHz. This antenna array can achieve a gain of more than 7.6dB in the beam range of 22.5° azimuth and 30^° pitch.

An ultra-wideband filter with wide stopband performance with single notch using E-shaped resonator is proposed. Based on a U-shaped MMR structure loaded by an open-circuited stub connected at its center, the loaded basic open-stub structure can generate transmission zeros on both sides of the passband to improve the in-band selectivity. Meanwhile, the symmetrical U-shaped open stub introduced not only strengthens the out-of-band suppression ability, but also optimizes the lower stopband. To suppress the in-band interference phenomenon, the proposed UWB BPF used E-shaped resonator coupled to the main transmission line of the basic UWB BPF to generate a notch band at 8GHz (Satellite communications X band). The filter has passband from 2.74 GHz to 11.5 GHz, the insertion loss is lower than 0.6dB and the filter has a relative high selectivity (30dB skirt factor is 0.891), Meanwhile, the filter has a wide stopband of up to 20.8GHz ($S21 \lt -20$dB).
