A super-broadband rectifier with expended input power range(IPR) for wireless power transfer (WPT) and radio frequency energy harvesting (RFEH) is proposed and analyzed. Meanwhile, using a simple impedance compression network consisting of quadruple microstrip lines (QMLICN) with the topology of the dickson charge pump, high power conversion efficiency (PCE) and super-broadband impedance matching are achieved. In addition, the IPRs of the rectifier are also extended. The simulation results indicate that an IPR of 12 - 25 dBm with a frequency range of 0.4 - 2.5 GHz (fractional bandwidth over 144%), the PEC exceeds 50% are realized, while at an input power of 19 dBm, the rectifier reaches a peak PCE of 74.2%. The rectifier covers the GSM 900, GSM 1800, 3G 2100 and WIFI 2400 bands, which design would have significant potential applications for the development of microwave power transmission systems. © 2022 IEEE.

Recently, the development of LiDAR in the field of vehicle has made the core micromirror with essential characteristics of large tilted angle and small size. We proposed a two-dimensional electrostatically actuated MEMS micromirror with a slender torsion bar. With the modified theoretical formula, two different torsional modes and corresponding torsional frequencies of the micromirror are obtained, which are then compared to the results by finite element simulation, and revealed a good agreement. The rotation angle of the micromirror is improved through optimizing the micromirror structure. Meanwhile, it is found that the driving voltage and the moment of inertia introduce the softening behavior of the spring, which will then affect the torsion frequency. To prevent the torsion bar stress is too large, with the sinusoidal driving voltage of 75V and 100V, the corresponding mechanical rotation angles are 14.8° and 15.3° at a driving frequency of 340.5Hz and 1500Hz, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

The sparse interactions between users and items have aggravated the difficulty of their representations in recommender systems. Existing methods leverage tags to alleviate the sparsity problem but ignore prevalent logical relations among items and tags (e.g., membership, hierarchy, and exclusion), which can be leveraged to enhance the accuracy of modeling user preferences and conducting recommendations. To this end, we propose to extract logical relations among item tags from existing tag taxonomies and exploit the individual strengths of the Poincaré and the Lorentz models in hyperbolic space for logical relation modeling towards enhanced recommendations. Moreover, we find that the logical relations directly extracted from existing tag taxonomies can be inaccurate and coarse. Therefore, we further devise innovative consistency-based and granularity-based weighting mechanisms based on user behavior patterns for data-driven logical relation mining that can be jointly optimized along with recommendations in an end-to-end fashion. Extensive experiments on four real-world benchmark datasets show drastic performance gains brought by our proposed framework, which constantly achieves an average of 8.25% improvement over state-of-the-art competitors regarding both Recall and NDCG metrics. Insightful case studies further demonstrate that our automatically refined logical relations are highly accurate and interpretable. © 2024 IEEE.

The traditional kernel principal components analysis (KPCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) have been verified to be two effective approaches for fault detection and diagnosis in recent years. Nevertheless, the conventional method and corresponding improved ones still exposed their deficiencies in some ways. Facing this dilemma, this paper presents a combination of optimized KPCA and modified LDA (OKPCA-MLDA), in which the OKPCA avoids the loss of original features after centralizing data in the eigenspace by adjusting covariance matrix's eigenvalue and transforming the distribution of variables thus providing representative and abundant principal components for the classifier. In addition, the MLDA maximizes a brand new objective function in feature space which achieves better classification performance than the conventional LDA, then utilizing diagnostic thresholds and similarity coefficients to identify the fault types. Based on the combined model, not only the fault detection and diagnosis can be realized simultaneously but also the accuracy of detection and diagnosis can be guaranteed. Furthermore, the simulation experiments on Tennessee Eastman (TE) benchmark process clearly illustrated the superiority of our proposed strategy.

In this paper, a novel algorithm for image classification is presented which uses the projective value of adjacency spectrum as classified samples. Firstly, the eigenvalues of adjacency matrices constructed on the feature point-sets of images are obtained by singular value decomposition. Secondly, the eigenvalues are projected onto the eigenspace by means of the covariance matrix. Finally, image classification is performed by adopting RBF and PNN neural networks as classifiers respectively. Mean-while, some theoretical analyses are given to support the proposed method.

A dual-control reconfigurable intelligent metasurface (DC-RIMS) composed of $24\times 22$ symmetric cells in the 5G mid-band is proposed. The DC-RIMS of non-artificial-magnetic-conductor type provides a smaller phase resolution of $60^{\mathrm{o}}$ with 2 bits under normal incidence. Angular sensitivities of the RIMS under oblique incidence are investigated. Our results show that the reflection responses at elevation angles are more sensitive than the azimuth angles, whereas the maximum phase differences are differed from each polarization. The horizontal one increases to $220^{\mathrm{o}}$ whereas the vertical one reduces to $150^\mathrm{o}$ as compared with overlapped $180^{\mathrm{o}}$ under normal incidence.

In reality, galleries usually display paintings in a protective manner, partly to delay the damage to the original artwork and ensure the long-term preservation of the artwork. On the other hand, it also hinders visitors’ deep appreciation and learning of the artwork. In the face of this challenge, our research aims to provide users with immersive viewing and entertainment, as well as interactive gaming experiences with artwork, through the use of virtual reality technology. So the paper proposes PaintingScapeVR, which is based on a virtual gallery and reproduces the three-dimensional scenes corresponding to different paintings. Visitors can freely explore in this virtual environment and gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and artistic value of artworks through interaction with them. Our results indicate that the reproduction of 3D scenes and gamified interactive design can not only significantly enhance visitors’ appreciation of painting art, but also leave a deeper learning impression. This immersive experience stimulates visitors’ desire to appreciate and explore, prompting them to actively delve into the background and techniques of art works, thereby enhancing their artistic appreciation abilities. Machine learning prediction of network dynamics with privacy protection

Predicting network dynamics based on data, a problem with broad applications, has been studied extensively in the past, but most existing approaches assume that the complete set of historical data from the whole network is available. This requirement presents a great challenge in applications, especially for large, distributed networks in the real world, where data collection is accomplished by many clients in a parallel fashion. Often, each client only has the time series data from a partial set of nodes, and the client has access to only partial time stamps of the whole set of time series data and the partial structure of the network. Due to privacy concerns or license-related issues, the data collected by different clients cannot be shared. Accurately predicting the network dynamics while protecting the privacy of different parties is a critical problem in modern times. Here, we propose a solution based on federated graph neural networks (FGNNs) that enables the training of a global dynamic model for all parties without data sharing. We validate the working of our FGNN framework through two types of simulations to predict a variety of network dynamics (four discrete and three continuous dynamics). As a significant real-world application, we demonstrate successful prediction of state-wise influenza spreading in the USA. Our FGNN scheme represents a general framework to predict diverse network dynamics through collaborative fusing of the data from different parties without disclosing their privacy.

Pctlfusion: A Progressive Fusion Network Via Contextual Texture Learning for Infrared and Visible Image

The objective of infrared and visible image fusion is to generate a fused image that contains rich texture details and salient targets. However, most of the existing fusion methods tend to focus on preserving texture details in visible image and salient targets in infrared image, ignoring the fact that infrared image have richer texture details and better visual effects than visible image under low-light conditions. In other words, differences in information sources under the condition of illumination imbalance is ignored in setting the task goal. In addition, existing network designs usually ignore multimodal information interactions during the coding phase, which may result in loss of information. In this work, we propose a progressive fusion network via contextual texture learning for infrared and visible image, termed as PCTLFusion. To enhance the limited texture information, we design a content and contextual texture learning module (CCTLM) to model the texture and content of both the source images, respectively. Then, an affine transform-based multimodal pre-fusion module (ATMPM) is designed to learn and pre-fuse the complementary and similar enhanced information, which achieves information interaction during encoding. To learn fully feature information using multilayers, we iterate CCTLM and ATMPM three times in the process of model forming. Finally, the fused image is reconstructed by decoding the output of the last ATMPM. Numerous experiments show that our proposed fusion algorithm is superior to the state-of-the-art existing methods in both subjective and objective evaluations. © 2024, The Authors. MEFA-Net: A mask enhanced feature aggregation network for polyp segmentation

Accurate polyp segmentation is crucial for early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer. This is a challenging task for three main reasons: (i) the problem of model overfitting and weak generalization due to the multi-center distribution of data;(ii) the problem of interclass ambiguity caused by motion blur and overexposure to endoscopic light;and (iii) the problem of intraclass inconsistency caused by the variety of morphologies and sizes of the same type of polyps. To address these challenges, we propose a new high-precision polyp segmentation framework, MEFA-Net, which consists of three modules, including the plug-and-play Mask Enhancement Module (MEG), Separable Path Attention Enhancement Module (SPAE), and Dynamic Global Attention Pool Module (DGAP). Specifically, firstly, the MEG module regionally masks the high-energy regions of the environment and polyps through a mask, which guides the model to rely on only a small amount of information to distinguish between polyps and background features, avoiding the model from overfitting the environmental information, and improving the robustness of the model. At the same time, this module can effectively counteract the "dark corner phenomenon" in the dataset and further improve the generalization performance of the model. Next, the SPAE module can effectively alleviate the inter-class fuzzy problem by strengthening the feature expression. Then, the DGAP module solves the intra-class inconsistency problem by extracting the invariance of scale, shape and position. Finally, we propose a new evaluation metric, MultiColoScore, for comprehensively evaluating the segmentation performance of the model on five datasets with different domains. We evaluated the new method quantitatively and qualitatively on five datasets using four metrics. Experimental results show that MEFA-Net significantly improves the accuracy of polyp segmentation and outperforms current state-of-the-art algorithms. Code posted on https://***/
