In this paper, several conjectures proposed in [2] are studied, involving the equivalence and duality of polycyclic codes associated with trinomials. According to the results, we give methods to construct isodual and self-dual polycyclic codes, and study the self-orthogonal and dual-containing polycyclic codes over F2MSC Codes 94B05, 05E30 © 2022, CC0.

A lumped elements integrated miniaturization super-wideband antenna is proposed, which is fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) that consists of feeding line, extended ground plane, three S-shaped-slot rectangle radiation patches and several integrated lumped elements. The three S-shaped-slot rectangle radiation patches are electromagnetically coupled by the balanced CPW feeding line. To enhance the bandwidth of the designed antenna, several lumped elements are integrated into the antenna. The designed antenna is modeled in CST. By co-simulation and optimizing using CST and ADS. A -10 dB fractional bandwidth of 169.5% can be achieved which ranges from 0.8 GHz-9.7 GHz. Moreover, the proposed antenna has good omnidirectional radiation patterns in the operating band.

In this paper, we introduce a novel Monte Carlo wave function method (MCWFM) for simulating the transient response of Rydberg atoms under rapidly varying electric fields, aimed at high-precision electric field measurements and wireless communication reception. This approach leverages the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) effect and Autler- Townes (AT) splitting in Rydberg atoms, offering enhanced efficiency compared to traditional density matrix methods by focusing solely on wave function evolution, thereby reducing computational complexity. Additionally, we account for Doppler effects in AT splitting through MCWFM, providing faster results than conventional Runge-Kutta methods. This work lays a solid foundation for advancing Rydberg atom technology in the development of high-capacity, high-fidelity wireless communication systems.

Learning Common and Label-Specific Features for Label Distribution Learning with Correlation Information

Label distribution learning quantifies the label space for each instance and has wide applicability in different fields. However, most existing work primarily focuses on common features, ignores the significance of label-specific features. Meanwhile, label correlation is well used in these work, but they still have limitations in capturing instance correlation. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a novel approach for label distribution learning to learn common and label-specific features with correlation information i.e. instance correlation and label correlation. First, we conduct $\ell_{2,1}-$norm regularization to select common and label-specific features, simultaneously. Then, we implement an optimization function to identify instance correlation in feature space. In addition, label correlation is collected with Pearson correlation coefficient. Finally, we design an objective function that enables the joint learning of common and label-specific features while leveraging correlation information. Comprehensive experiments manifest the superiority of our proposed approach against other well-established label distribution learning algorithms. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Variable projection algorithms with sparse constraint for separable nonlinear models

Separable nonlinear models are widely used in various fields such as time series analysis, system modeling, and machine learning, due to their flexible structures and ability to capture nonlinear behavior of data. However, identifying the parameters of these models is challenging, especially when sparse models with better interpretability are desired by practitioners. Previous theoretical and practical studies have shown that variable projection (VP) is an efficient method for identifying separable nonlinear models, but these are based on $L_2$ penalty of model parameters, which cannot be directly extended to deal with sparse constraint. Based on the exploration of the structural characteristics of separable models, this paper proposes gradient-based and trust-region-based variable projection algorithms, which mainly solve two key problems: how to eliminate linear parameters under sparse constraint;and how to deal with the coupling relationship between linear and nonlinear parameters in the model. Finally, numerical experiments on synthetic data and real time series data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Interpolation of scattered data is crucial across various domains, and neural networks have proved effective in developing accurate interpolators. While these neural network-based approaches excel in capturing data distributions, their failure to leverage inherent locality in computations can lead to overly dense correlation modeling. This might result in capturing spurious correlations and thereby affecting accuracy. To address these shortcomings, we propose a relation-aware interpolation framework named REIN. REIN uses a relational inference module to efficiently identify neighboring observed data points for each interpolation location, and integrate the relation graph as constraints into a neural interpolator. Experimental results on both synthetic and real-world datasets show that REIN outperforms the existing interpolation methods, even those employing heuristic local constraints. The analysis also suggests that compared with the widely-used heuristic local constraints, the learned local relation graphs exhibit improved adaptability and interpretability.

This study addresses the consensus problem for nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) under the exogenous disturbances over cooperation-competition networks. Firstly, for judging the disturbances produced by the exogenous environment, a disturbance observer-based approach is developed and incorporated into the controller. Secondly, two novel nonlinear control protocols depended on state feedback and output feedback control are constructed to guarantee consensus for MASs over the signed directed graph, respectively. Thirdly, theoretical guarantees on the effectiveness of the proposed controller in steering the system to a bipartite leader-following consensus with exogenous disturbances are derived. Finally, numerical simulations inspired by a real-world physical MAS are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers. © 2021 IEEE

Molecule optimization via multi-objective evolutionary in implicit chemical space

Machine learning methods have been used to accelerate the molecule optimization process. However, efficient search for optimized molecules satisfying several properties with scarce labeled data remains a challenge for machine learning molecule optimization. In this study, we propose MOMO, a multi-objective molecule optimization framework to address the challenge by combining learning of chemical knowledge with Pareto-based multi-objective evolutionary search. To learn chemistry, it employs a self-supervised codec to construct an implicit chemical space and acquire the continues representation of molecules. To explore the established chemical space, MOMO uses multiobjective evolution to comprehensively and efficiently search for similar molecules with multiple desirable properties. We demonstrate the high performance of MOMO on four multi-objective property and similarity optimization tasks, and illustrate the search capability of MOMO through case studies. Remarkably, our approach significantly outperforms previous approaches in optimizing three objectives simultaneously. The results show the optimization capability of MOMO, suggesting to improve the success rate of lead molecule optimization. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this article, we propose an efficient numerical method for layered models based on the conventional finite difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The three-dimensional (3-D) layered model is compressed into one-dimensional (1-D) calculation, which improves the problem of large space memory and long running time for 3-D modeling while ensuring the accuracy and feasibility of the algorithm. On the one hand, by employing the transformation relationship between the transverse wave vector and the field in space, the expanded Maxwell's rotation equations are simplified, so that the equation system only retains the spatial transformation in the propagation direction. This processing allows for the calculation of the propagation characteristics of layered media without requiring more computational resources. On the other hand, to ensure the universality of the algorithm, a fully tensor anisotropic medium is selected for detecting the propagation data. At the same time, we design the layered structure and conduct the consistent 3-D modeling in the simulation software COMSOL. The results showed that our proposed efficient numerical algorithm greatly reduced the loss of computing resources while ensuring accuracy.

The fair and objective assessment of performances and competitions is a common pursuit and challenge in human society. The application of computer vision technology offers hope for this purpose, but it still faces obstacles such as occlusion and motion blur. To address these hindrances, our DanceFix proposes a bidirectional spatial-temporal context optical flow correction (BOFC) method. This approach leverages the consistency and complementarity of motion information between two modalities: optical flow, which excels at pixel capture, and lightweight skeleton data. It enables the extraction of pixel-level motion changes and the correction of abnormal skeleton data. Furthermore, we propose a part-level dance dataset (Dancer Parts) and part-level motion feature extraction based on task decoupling (PETD). This aims to decouple complex whole-body parts tracking into fine-grained limb-level motion extraction, enhancing the confidence of temporal information and the accuracy of correction for abnormal data. Finally, we present the DNV dataset, which simulates fully neat group dance scenes and provides reliable labels and validation methods for the newly introduced group dance neatness assessment (GDNA). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work to develop quantitative criteria for assessing limb and joint neatness in group dance. We conduct experiments on DNV and video-based public JHMDB datasets. Our method effectively corrects abnormal skeleton points, flexibly embeds, and improves the accuracy of existing pose estimation algorithms.
