In this paper, a differential bandpass filter (BPF) based on enhanced coupling line structure has been suggested in this study. Two out-of-band transmission zeros are added to the differential mode by loading the coupling line at the output terminal, which raises the rectangular coefficient of the filter. Two common mode transmission zeros in the passband are additionally provided by the open/short stub that is already loaded at the output port. To accommodate the demands of various filter performances, the location of the transmission zeros can be modified by altering the values of the coupling lines' and stubs' impedances. Finally, the passband common mode suppression might be as high as 40 dB.

SpreadFGL: Edge-Client Collaborative Federated Graph Learning with Adaptive Neighbor Generation

Federated Graph Learning (FGL) has garnered widespread attention by enabling collaborative training on multiple clients for semi-supervised classification tasks. However, most existing FGL studies do not well consider the missing inter-client topology information in real-world scenarios, causing insufficient feature aggregation of multi-hop neighbor clients during model training. Moreover, the classic FGL commonly adopts the FedAvg but neglects the high training costs when the number of clients expands, resulting in the overload of a single edge server. To address these important challenges, we propose a novel FGL framework, named SpreadFGL, to promote the information flow in edge-client collaboration and extract more generalized potential relationships between clients. In SpreadFGL, an adaptive graph imputation generator incorporated with a versatile assessor is first designed to exploit the potential links between subgraphs, without sharing raw data. Next, a new negative sampling mechanism is developed to make SpreadFGL concentrate on more refined information in downstream tasks. To facilitate load balancing at the edge layer, SpreadFGL follows a distributed training manner that enables fast model convergence. Using real-world testbed and benchmark graph datasets, extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed SpreadFGL. Compact Broadband Rectifier With Wide Input Power Range Based on Adaptive Input Power Distribution

This paper presents a novel compact rectifier array with both broadband and wide input power range characteristics. The rectifier array consists of two rectifier units operating at low-power and high-power levels, respectively, and an adaptive input power distribution network (AIPDN) enabling automatic distribution of radio frequency (RF) energy at different power levels. In addition, a matching inductance is introduced to counteract the capacitance of the diode. As a result, the high RF-DC power conversion efficiency (PCE) is achieved in both broadband and wide input power range. For demonstration, a prototype of the presented rectifier array is fabricated and measured. The measured results are in good accordance with the simulated results. With an input power range of 8 – 25 dBm and a bandwidth of 1.82 – 2.75 GHz (fractional bandwidth of 40.7%), the PCE is greater than 50%. At 2.4 GHz, the input power ranges from -5.5 to 27.5 dBm with PCE greater than 50%. Besides, a peak PCE of 72.1% is obtained at an input power of 25 dBm. Lncosh function has been used for constructing a cost function for devising an adaptive filter algorithm to provide a desired performance under non-Gaussian noise, naming as least Lncosh algorithm (LLA). However, its transient behavior analysis has not been analyzed and investigated. As an important characteristic for the LLA, the transient behavior affects its performance in real-world applications. Herein, we present the theoretical model for evaluating the mean weight behavior and the transient excess mean square error (EMSE) behavior of the LLA. In addition, the proposed models can also be used to predict the transient behavior of the adaptive filtering algorithms with error nonlinearities under non-Gaussian noises. The identification of disease modules has attracted increasing attention due to the importance in comprehending pathogenesis of complex diseases. Most of the existing methods were based on the protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks with the incompleteness and incorrectness of the interactome, which results in many disease-related proteins and pathways not within their disease modules. In this paper, we propose a method named IDMCSS to effectively identify disease modules by adding some potential interactions and removing some incorrect interactions in the existing human PPI network. Firstly, the connective similarity and semantic similarity are calculated between the known disease proteins and each of their neighbors. Then, the network is adjusted by adding the interactions with large connective and semantic similarity, and removing those with small connective and semantic similarity. Further, the proteins are sorted in the descending order according to the similarity to the known disease proteins, and the sorted proteins are added into a candidate node set one by one until a certain biological information is not enriched in the candidate node set. Finally, the connected subnetwork with the largest number of nodes in the candidate node set is selected as the disease module. The disease modules identified by IDMCSS involve crucial biological processes of related diseases and can predict 12 targets for drug intervention. The experimental results on asthma demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in comparison to existing algorithms for disease module identification. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A wideband high isolation circularly polarized antenna for 5G MIMO millimeter-wave systems is presented in this paper. The presented antenna exhibits wideband characteristics due to the resonance of surface waves along the metasurface. The circularly polarized preliminary bandwidth is achieved by truncated corner patches when the truncation can be adjusted to implement the phase and amplitude values of the two quadrature modes. The port isolation is improved by the resonance of double-layer microstrip lines in the frequency. The size of the antenna is 17.8×17.8×1.02 mm 3 , the impedance bandwidth is 30.4% (23.29-31.66 GHz) and the 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth is 20.5% (24.47-30.12 GHz). In addition, the port isolation of the presented antenna is higher than 25 dB, and the peak gain is 8.4 dB. Therefore, the given antenna has the advantages of wideband, circularly polarized and high isolation.

Nonnegative Maximum Correntropy Adaptive Algorithm and Its Statistical Analysis

Dynamic system modeling methods have become a hot topic for stationary and nonstationary signal processing. Nonnegativity is a desired constraint that usually exerts on to be estimated parameters, and its generation usually based on the inherent physical characteristics of unknown system. Moreover, non-Gaussian noise is present in many practical system identification situations. In this paper, an adaptive nonnegative maximum correntropy criterion (NNMCC) algorithm is proposed for system identification under non-negativity constraints. We derive the NNMCC algorithm based on the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions and a fixed-point iteration scheme. The first-order and second-order moments of the NNMCC algorithm adaptive weights are theoretically analyzed. Experimental results validate the theoretical analysis and illustrate the superior performance of NNMCC in non-Gaussian noise environments. © 2022, CC BY.

High-fidelity kinship face synthesis has many potential applications, such as kinship verification, missing child identification, and social media analysis. However, it is challenging to synthesize high-quality descendant faces with genetic relations due to the lack of large-scale, high-quality annotated kinship data. This paper proposes RFG (Region-level Facial Gene) extraction framework to address this issue. We propose to use IGE (Image-based Gene Encoder), LGE (Latent-based Gene Encoder) and Gene Decoder to learn the RFGs of a given face image, and the relationships between RFGs and the latent space of Style-GAN2. As cycle-like losses are designed to measure the $\mathcal{L}_{2}$ distances between the output of Gene Decoder and image encoder, and that between the output of LGE and IGE, only face images are required to train our framework, i.e. no paired kinship face data is required. Based upon the proposed RFGs, a crossover and mutation module is further designed to inherit the facial parts of parents. A Gene Pool has also been used to introduce the variations into the mutation of RFGs. The diversity of the faces of descendants can thus be significantly increased. Qualitative, quantitative, and subjective experiments on FIW, TSKinFace, and FF-Databases clearly show that the quality and diversity of kinship faces generated by our approach are much better than the existing state-of-the-art methods.

CRSOT: Cross-Resolution Object Tracking using Unaligned Frame and Event Cameras

Existing datasets for RGB-DVS tracking are collected with DVS346 camera and their resolution (346 × 260) is low for practical applications. Actually, only visible cameras are deployed in many practical systems, and the newly designed neuromorphic cameras may have different resolutions. The latest neuromorphic sensors can output high-definition event streams, but it is very difficult to achieve strict alignment between events and frames on both spatial and temporal views. Therefore, how to achieve accurate tracking with unaligned neuromorphic and visible sensors is a valuable but unresearched problem. In this work, we formally propose the task of object tracking using unaligned neuromorphic and visible cameras. We build the first unaligned frame-event dataset CRSOT collected with a specially built data acquisition system, which contains 1,030 high-definition RGB-Event video pairs, 304,974 video frames. In addition, we propose a novel unaligned object tracking framework that can realize robust tracking even using the loosely aligned RGB-Event data. Specifically, we extract the template and search regions of RGB and Event data and feed them into a unified ViT backbone for feature embedding. Then, we propose uncertainty perception modules to encode the RGB and Event features, respectively, then, we propose a modality uncertainty fusion module to aggregate the two modalities. These three branches are jointly optimized in the training phase. For the past few years, perovskite solar cells have become the most promising photovoltaic devices because of its excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency. Perovskite solar cells have defects in body, interface and energy level misalignment, which lead to the increase of non-radiative recombination loss and hinder the further improvement of efficiency and stability. Therefore, the reduced loss originated from the energy level misalignment and interface defects, which is essentially important to the realization of efficient perovskite solar cells. In the research of this paper, the influence of double electron transport layer and its stepwise conduction band structure on the device performance is studied. The results show that the double-layer electron transport layer structure can improve the loss of interface energy level misalignment and provide insight into high-performance solar cells.
